Shiro scrambled to collect everything that had spilled forth from the dropped crate, rolling his eyes at the laughter that followed him.
"Be right with you-" he nodded to the newcomer.
' ' I've felt worse ! ' ' Lance hissed. The wound definitely hurt, but he wasn't about to admit that to someone so pretty!
❝ Hey- are you okay? That looks like it hurts. ❞
' ' Name's Lance . . . thank you for the help . ' '
He accepted the supplies with gloved hands, shrugging off the plate armor around his chest for easier mobility.
' ' Happens a lot more than I'd like in my line of work . . . ' '
Lance admitted, a frown creasing his expression as he worked to patch up the wound in his side. He didn't even remember fully how it had happened, just that it hurt.
' ' Thank you, Kagome , ' '
Lance worked carefully and quickly, definitely skilled at doing things like this to himself. He leaned up, hoping to give her easier access to help him wrap the wound.
' ' The world's spinnin' ' '
He laughed lightly, a breathy sound. He knew he'd have to repair his uniform when he left this area, it had been damaged by whatever had attacked him.
' ' What kind of creatures are even on this planet? ' '
' ' Demon??! ' '
Lance stammered he was unsure of what the creature had been, just that it had been fast and attacked without warning. Once they were finished wrapping the wound, he picked up his chest plate and slid it back on.
' ' I'm used to aliens, but not demons . . . or is that just what you call creatures on this planet? Or am I on some weird Earth? ' '
He pulled himself up onto his feet and extended a hand down to Kagome.
' ' Thank you, by the way, for your help . ' '
' ' Okay . . . ' '
Lance took a moment to process what she was saying, face creasing with a mixture of worry and something bordering on fear. He adjusted the chest plate and sighed.
' ' Feudal era Japan . . . oh boy that's the last time I drink anything Coran gives me ! ' '
He shook his head and ran a hand down his face. Everything was setting in slowly.
' ' How . . . how do I get back to my team ? ' '
Lance steadied himself again, looking around to take in his surroundings. Nothing made sense, and he looked very out of place. His eyes, deep cerulean, darted around, looking for anything that might tell him how he got here.
' ' I was in my lion, and now I'm here . . . and something attacked ? ' '
He was visibly distressed, stammering and muttering in another language all together at times. He held his helmet under one arm and flexed his hands nervously.
' ' How do you get back home ? Maybe that will work ? ' '
' ' I'm willing to try just about anything . . . ' '
He sounded desperate enough, too. At the look, he pulled out a strange looking cell phone and fumbled with it for a moment, frowning at the fact that there was, as expected, no service.
' ' This is Blue . . . ' '
He held up the device to a photo of a huge mechanical lion, he was standing in front of it, posed with a peace sign.
' ' That's the lion I was in . . . we were in space . . . and now I'm here . Oh quiznak the team's gonna be so confused . ' '
' ' Yeah !! ' '
Lance beamed motioning to the lioness. Her eyes lit up and she leaned her head down to their level, seeming to smile as she opened her mouth ever so slightly.
' ' C'mon, Blue ! Be nice to our new friend here ! ' '
The lioness opened her mouth fully and let out a quiet, low roar, more of a purring sound at this volume.
' ' Wanna go for a spin ? ' '
' ' Yeah ! She's got a mind of her own, I swear ! ' '
Lance stepped inside the lion's maw and extended a hand to Kagome, grinning gleefully, a touch of mischief in his stare.
' ' She won't bite, though, promise . ' '
He helped her into the lion and offered her the copilot seat before situating himself in the pilot's seat. He gave the dashboard a pat and it sprung to life with monitors and a clear view of the world around them.
' ' Hold on to your seat, we're gonna hit some speeds you're definitely not used to ! ' '
