Miss you too, despite seeing you consistently.

However I don't think anything rivals how much Dante missed everyone during the 15 years in the Irene Dimension.

Not to be angsty on (kinda) main, but you ever be so loud, yet always ignored? Like, it doesn’t matter how loud you are, how much you try to input your opinion or thoughts you just… can’t get a word in. And it doesn’t matter how loud you are because when you are listened to, it’s always the wrong thing to do. To say. No one laughs with you. No one sees your tears. No one hears your cut off sentences. No one hears you. No one cares. And you just wonder if maybe you’re better off being silent. If no one listens anyways, then why keep trying? Why keep doing this?

But it’s fine. It’s always fine. Because if it’s not fine…………

I wanna learn how to swing dance with you and eye-on!!! (I’m on a silly brain rot about it). I’d say we could totally do the Lindy Hop but we couldn’t. I know my limits of dance as a person lmao - 🦝

I have no skill in memorizing choreography. None. Zero. Zilch.

… we need multiple legitimate dance scenes in Marigold. I know there were times where they danced, but I need dialogue, drama, and heartfelt moments during those because there is no way they just silently danced that whole time.

My best guess would be Garroth or Dante, for similar reasons. Smart sometimes, but socially dumb, an iffy relationship with family(though obviously not as bad as either of these two because oh my irene-), intense loyalty, and difficultly expressing emotions fully.

There’s also the whole “wanting to help people” and “not wanting to be a burden” thing from Garroth that works too.

What if I made Laurance significantly deadlier in Marigold?? What if he takes more lives?? I probably won’t do this, but I was listening to music and letting it affect my brainrot. And I came to the idea of Laurance being referred to as “Lady Aphria’s Bloodhound” or something along those lines because he will hunt and maim her enemies on command, no hesitation. Again, probably won’t do this but it’s fun making my favorites more unhinged than necessary.

Oh no please do reel me in. It’d be pretty bad if I was left unrestricted and unsupervised lol - 🦝

Sometimes it’s important to know that not everything is as it seems.

Aphria will never see this. She doesn’t need to. However, my dearest reader, that does not mean that I will withhold this information from you.

You see, miles away, as Garroth Dorian holds baby Levin, he starts to cry.

There’s seemingly no reason to do so. To an outside observer, and to Garroth Dorian himself, it was worthless, these tears. They meant nothing. Held nothing. It made him ashamed of being so emotional for a reason so unknown.

Yet, I cannot even begin to fathom the feeling he is and will be experiencing for the rest of this story. How devastating it must be to become a father and never realize that the child you are holding and the mother you don’t even remember were supposed to be such big parts of your life.

In another world, this story could have gone differently. Zenix could’ve been stopped and the Lord replaced with a reluctant Garroth Dorian who’s crime was loving a married woman who would have been pushing him to the path of Lord. In another world, he would have witnessed all of Levin’s firsts. He would have done everything he could to keep his wife and son happy.

But this is not that world. In this world, all Garroth Dorian will have is that absent, forgetful, guilty feeling. As if he’s missing something.

Okay, but like, I’m actually really excited about doing the dance scenes because even though I struggle with writing them I’m romanticizing dance and I’m hyped - 🦝

We unfortunately have a while to go but honestly?? Have fun with it.

I want Caleb to exist somehow. The baby brother Laurance had in Mystreet that was there to explain why he wasn't in season 2. That one. I want that baby in Marigold and I don't know how to write him in because the family is very different.

Part of me says Laurance just pick up a baby at one point and goes "welp, this is my brother now. Yep."

Another part of me says he can just join the army of children that Aphria, Garroth, Zoey, and Laurance "raise."

I don't know.

I could also mess with their age difference and keep him Laurance's biological brother, because he obviously had to have some form of family before being taken in by Hayden, right? They existed. I'm not saying he remembers them or anything, but they have had to exist at some point considering Laurance... you know, exists.

This became more of a nonsensical rant than anything, sorry. Please give me advice.

What if Laurance's biological parents were too young to raise him and either abandoned him or lost him. Causing Laurance to still be an 'orphan' in minecraft diaries and allowing Caleb to still be related to him. And then Caleb can appear in season 2- I'd say as a teenager or so in age?

Oooh.... I like that plan, honestly.

And it also feels like a sucker punch to the gut because that would actually suck to learn about your family.

There’s a popular idea floating around in most MCD rewrites at the moment that Laurence’s bio parents had him very young, and thus abandoned him so they didn’t have to raise him. They had Caleb at a much later date.

I’d like to add on that Laurence might have, perhaps as part of an identity crisis after becoming a Shadow Knight, so he attempted to seek out where he came from. Even if it was only to settle a portion of his imposter syndrome..

Considering everything? Not suprised. And I'm almost always down for adding more angst to my favorite character.

So long as he doesn't go alone, I'd be down for Laurance being curious. It may take place in the whole "saving Logan/Meeting Malachi/Pikoro village" arc OR during one of their many season 2 travels.

If he were to go alone, it'd be a season 3 adventure that's almost completely off screen.

Normal things won't permanently kill a Shadow Knight. They usually just respawn in the nether. It takes very specific weapons and/or enchantments to truly kill a Shadow Knight. Usually it takes a few days to respawn, but it varies based off of what the "death" was.

And yes. This does mean their bodies literally vanish from where they were left. And yes it is absolutely terrifying.

Of course, pretty much no one in the overworld knows about this whole thing.

Imagine Laurance's surprise when he wakes up in the nether again after sacrificing himself to save Garroth and kill Zane.

He's pissed, actually, because he literally hates being in the nether. It makes him overly irritable and messes with his head. And that's not even going into the trauma aspect of it all.

This was not meant to be a Laurance centric post, crap-

You know how during the first couple of episodes, Aph accidentally punches both Garroth and Zenix at different times and gets attacked??

Changing those.

Not because it wasn't funny. It was. But also I've been given opportunities and I'm taking it.

Both of those scenes are to be sparring scenes. Aphria mostly uses her dagger, but it'd be good to learn how to use a sword, right?

Zenix and Dorian (hesitantly) teach her.

It's truthfully Zenix who offers, and they playfully spar all the time. In this moment, however, it gets a little too serious. They get a little too violent. Just a bit too much... until Aphria accidentally lands a hit.

It's not a big wound at all, just a minor scratch, a light bruise. It barely breaks the skin. But she freaks out over it, and expects the worst. Zenix is kind of just frozen in shock before be begins laughing.

"That was good, for a newbie!" He exclaims, almost breathless from his stunned laughter. "I'd say hit harder next time, but I'd rather keep my life."

"Are... are you okay?" She asks with a slightly furrowed brow, reaching out to him hesitantly with her free hand.

"Oh yeah, I'm great! Wanna keep going?"

Aka me giving them bonding time to make Zenix's betrayal hurt more.

Part of me is so offended that other characters didn’t get fun outfits for events like weddings and parties in MCD while Aph did. I vote we change that. Give them outfits. Show them to me. I will admire them to the end of my days. With creator permission, they will be canon to Marigold.

He just does. There’s something biblical to him about loving someone. Something so wholly… spiritual. added bonus that she is god.

It honestly makes more sense to me.

Around that time, he was beginning to see himself as more and more of a threat, and wanted to take some time so he wouldn't cause harm to his loved ones. But he couldn't just leave Aphria without a guard. Sure, there's Katelyn, but... he knows Katelyn will eventually go off to do other things. He can't leave his lady in the care of someone who won't always be there. Plus he wanted Garroth back, at least to know he's okay.

He knew very well that this would likely lead in his death, and he actually... preferred it that way? He'd rather die than lose his mind, after all. Everyone would be safer that way.

Laurance kind of sees it all as a big win-win.

They get Garroth back, Zane dies for his crimes, and he's no longer a threat. Truly, the only downside(to him) is that people would be emotionally hurt by his death. But people can recover from that.

This is pretty much his messed up but logical thought process. At least his heart is in the right place.

He certainly didn't expect to come back in the place he hates the most though.

... For the au thing I am making(I'm thinking of calling it "Viceroy Road" or something else involving butterflies), I decided I wanted certain characters from MCD that weren't in Mystreet involved.

And it lead me to this:

Aph is a foster parent. Eventually she just straight up adopts some of them when she can. This includes Levin and Malachi. Others, such as Yip and Lilith Garnet, go off to other families.
