Could I request Meruem (Or any Knuckles if you don't write for Meruem) with a male reader who's nen ability makes him take damage and get hurt for his attacks to get stronger?
He intentionally hurts himself to make his attacks stronger☺️
For his personality I'm thinking maybe he's cold and a little psychotic

Bit of a self-harm mention, but in the context of the ask. As well as more yandere esk Meruem.
Meruem would think you're like any other human, just a little more insane or like him.
However, when you started to fight against Neferpitu, specifically for killing kite and how it was unnecessary, and you just kept getting stronger when you got hit, he'd finally understand.
He'd understand why after you fight or train, you had cuts/scars over your arms and shoulders.
Meruem would stop you from training, fighting, or any reason to use your nen. He doesn't care if you're mad at him or you try to fight him.
You basically live in a phsyc ward, but it's the whole of his castle(Manor?). Especially in his throne/main room.
If you try to fight someone or someone tries to fight you, Meruem kills them immediately and kisses you till you can't breathe.
You wouldn't be allowed out of his sight and barely allowed to not be touching him. Your main seat is his lap, he won't allow you to sit anywhere else. He doesn't care who sees, and it's the only way to make sure you won't get violent.
Call him excessive, call him insane, call him over reactivate, he doesn't care. It's all to keep his mantis safe, after all, you're his pretty boy.

I really like the idea of Meruem reading to Komugi. I could see it happening if they had lived long enough because Meruem seemed to enjoy reading and I think that enjoyment would have only grown stronger over time. So maybe when they’re taking a break from Gungi, Meruem happens to pick up a fiction book to read and is paging through it and the story is really good - and he glances over at Komugi (who’s probably still practicing moves on her board ) and he decides to read it out loud so she can enjoy it too. Komugi would be pretty surprised and pleased because her family probably didn’t ever take the time to read to her or get books in braille for her. Eventually it would become a little routine for the two of them and Meruem would actively look for books he thinks Komugi would enjoy.
