I will not leave more info about her because I can't do some spoilers about her lore, but I'm so happy about the amazing work of my friend @devilzukin7
It all began on New Year's Eve. I was chatting with a friend at work, and I mentioned how my love for Metal Gear had been rekindled, bringing back nostalgia and fond memories of the game. Back in 2008, I was deeply involved in the fandom, and from the very beginning, I loved Hal. His character felt so close to me.
During that time, I even wrote a fanfic that I unfortunately lost with PC changes, but I still remember the plot. I used to keep an eye on all the content the voice actors shared, but living in Chile, meeting them seemed like an impossible dream.
However, on January 1st of this year, I decided to gift myself a Cameo from Chris as a Christmas present. I cannot put into words the positive impact this decision had on my life. Hal has always brought positive things into my life: thanks to a friend of my boyfriend, I got to know the Metal Gear saga, and we developed a strong and healthy friendship that has lasted for years.
This year, I connected with Chris and got to know his kind personality.
What the Cameo costs in money is nothing compared to what you receive from him: kindness, genuine concern, he truly puts effort into leaving you with a memory you'll never forget.
This year, I also met David Hayter and was overwhelmed by his kindness and warmth. I managed to get his autograph, which means so much to me. I also met some very significant people within the fandom.
Today, I received Christopher's autograph. Dreams can come true.
I still dream that maybe one day we can meet in person, even if it's just for 5 minutes at a convention. The fact that both of us have the intention is already enough.
Support artists and various forms of artistic expression (because there are many mediums, not just drawing/singing/acting). We are all human, deserving of recognition and love. It's incredible how much happiness this can bring to our hearts, both to the person giving and the person receiving.
Do it.
Without fear.
And chances are, things will turn in your favor. Positivity attracts positivity.
More love for the Chef and Developer. I just love to see her in the Shinkawa style that @Venomwalter_art does, because I feel like she could be a real character in the franchise

Snippet sunday
I was taggged by @arisenreborn and it's my first time doing this! tagging: @kleiner-ghost @hc-svnt-dracones95 and anyone else with something they're working on!
Here is a segment I like in my fanfic "Saphire Hearted", chapter 5. Remember that the hyphen is a dialogue:
"I could swear that Hal was still looking at him, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. When the innkeeper was far enough away, he asked as I sipped a glass of sangria.
- So, does William feel something towards your person?
The sangria tried to get up my nose and I tried to stop myself from laughing.
- What's that? No, Hal! Not all the men are trying to flirt with me or anything like that!
- Why is he so close to you then?
- Well, he was my boss. I used to work in this place. In that kitchen.
-Â I don't believe you...
-Â Do you think I am interested in William?
- I realize he's an older man. But I can see that he might appeal to many women.Â
He straightened up, eyes fixed on him.
Naturally.
He must be making comparisons.
- I understand the way you are thinking. After all, William could be quite desirable to many women; he owns and operates his own lands, he's widowed, childless, and young enough to remarry...
His eyes penetrated me.
- But you're missing something. Women in our society are just objects, like pawns. We are just currency to be exchanged for money, work or land. All in order to guarantee a better and more sustainable life for our offspring... Couples are not made from love.
He sipped sangria and tasted it.
- I don't want to live that way. I have faith that one day women will be able to choose what they do for themselves and who they love. Not just to be a part of a stingy system that doesn't take care of them. Maybe that's why the dragon picked me. Perhaps it's a punishment, because I have a very different way of thinking."
Glad to tell you that I already uploaded a new chapter of "Saphire Hearted". Now Lina's team is complete!
WIP Wednesday!
(A little late but still!) This time @fangbangerghoul tagged me and I have to tell you that I'm working on a second ending for the Dragon's Dogma fic. The problem is that I lost a big part, because at some point Microsoftword.exe didn't save it. So I got a little depressed about it (I realized this yesterday), so I will share the beginning of it.
Don't believe people who say: "There's nothing new under the sun".
That's not true.
The most unexpected things can happen.
And that's quite a lot when you consider that I'm just a pawn.
As you probably already know (or suspect), the age of a pawn is difficult to determine. I don't know exactly how many human years, how many Springs I've seen go by, but I can say that I've worked with more Arisen than I can really remember or count.
Still, my memory can only recall two of them: the one who gave me life, and the one who made me feel emotions. Their will, and determination were astonishing. The one that gave me life, my own Arisen appeared to be a decent, reasonable person with an unbreakable will, but he gifted me the most bitter feeling: Disappointment.
Some might say: He was the one who made me a being with feelings, and maybe that's the truth, but, in my opinion, she had something special.
Something strange and inexplicable.
"I like to think that we are like moths drawn to the light; this warm, powerful aura that the Arisen have…"
Today, Hal's words carry a different weight, they're like an echo in my mind, haunting me.
Many Awakenings have come and gone… Different Arisen… Different motivations and wills.
But somehow… I feel guilty
Regardless how much experience I once bragged about…
I never expected anything like this.
We had been together for a long time, I'd say months.
Lina was the one chosen by the Dragon in this dimension as the Arisen, the one who would finish him and free the world from the disaster dressed in Crimson. Hal was always by her side. A skinny, eye-glassed, book-loving pawn, brilliant and creative. At first I despised his lack of courage and his shyness.
Now, in retrospect… I can't ignore his true qualities.
His mental agility and his almost unnatural effort to understand life and people; Sensitive, always looking out for her happiness and that of those with whom he lived, including me and Meryl.
How stupid I was.
Surely, as he mentioned on more than few occasions, my "muscular brain" made me indifferent to what some people call the "intelligence of the heart".
If only I had noticed this earlier… I might have noticed that there was something strange going on from the very beginning…
It's no news that Arisens could bring joy to people.
And envy too.
For some strange reason, the negativity becomes endearingly attractive to minds in despair and uncertainty of the approaching end (perhaps this is something triggered by the Dragon's presence).
That day, a stranger approached the Arisen and begged for help. He pulled out a weird piece of paper that claimed to be a letter from a well-known person.
They were barely readable, asking for help to get home, from Bloodwater Beach to Grand Soren.
A long and complicated journey.
To be honest, I have to make yourself clear that it's not uncommon to receive requests for escort, especially on the road, but…
What the hell was that person doing out there in the first place?
Bloodwater Beach is one of Gransys' most remote and inhospitable places…
Why should we help that person?
These questions weren't asked back then.
And maybe that's why I'm here now...

Ok, I have to make it clear that this is a fandate with heavy reasons behind it, but I can't talk about the most important one because it's a secret.
But yeah, I'm headcanoning him as Gemini because Hal is so creative, and when it comes to his professional side (and his closest friends), he really has a way with words that's so…beautiful. When he is comfortable enough, he really knows how to express himself.
I also think that, as a scientist, he is curious, like most Gemini. And believe it or not, Gemini have a lot of patience with the people they have trust in. They're also easy to distract, but not because they're stupid. That's just because they have so much information in their heads that they have to organize their thoughts, and they can easily jump from topic to topic…
And when they got enough mental maturity (and used their "dual" personality wisely), they could easily guess what would happen and make good decisions, just like Hal in MGS4…
But really, I think it suits him very well.
