Could you please do Zixian?

Oh ho boy.

Zixian:

-Big big tsundere rich boy and dense fuck rule-breaking genius boy. What to not love?

-At first, Jin Zixuan and Wei Wuxian, as we all know, were not on good terms. At all. Nope, not even one bit.

-Sometimes, Jin Zixuan felt like, if Wei Wuxian were a cat, he would be hissing at him whenever he saw him, but seemingly controlled himself to not to. After all, he was still his beloved Shijie’s fiancé no matter how much undeserving of her he was.

-So, Wei Wuxian would glare and curse at him when he could, but held himself back. Shijie still liked the damn peacock, after all.

-But now, how did the Jin Sect Heir fell for the obnoxious, annoying troublemaker at first place?

-He can't really tell. It just… happened suddenly. He didn't think he could ever get along with Wei Wuxian even if he respected and admired the other’s talents and skills but--

-Then, when he saw the determined gaze whenever he talked about Jiang Yanli (So fierce, yet so full love; the love he couldn't get from the bastards of his father or the defensive love from his mother who was ever strict with him but never tried defending him from anything-- He was spoiled and could have everything, but was lonely, so why that plain, plain girl got someone to love her so much? What was special about her?), Jin Zixuan felt envy. Why he didn't have someone as devoted and strong as Wei Wuxian at his side and Jiang Yanli had?

-Envy turned into rage. Rage turned into confusion. Confusion turned into silent admiration. And admiration… Well, he couldn't tell. Why did whenever he saw Wei Wuxian now, his heart started speeding up and blood rushed to his face? Why did his stomach started to… to knot so pleasantly yet so strangely at his sight? Why?

-Then, Jin Zixuan realized one day, he would be such a better match than Jiang Yanli. He had frozen on spot, mentally slapping himself for the thought, because yes, Wei Wuxian was better looking, more talented, smarter, unique, but he was a man. And he was a Sect Heir.

-He decided to (try to) forget it, but now whenever he thought about the mean things he said about Jiang Yanli in Wei Wuxian’s presence, he felt a sense of dread and regret. No, no. That's not how it is supposed to be.

-Wei Wuxian still couldn't stand the Young Mistress, but then one day, out of the blue, a fidgety, distressed-looking Jin Zixuan walks to him, red-faced and slow, looking at his shoes as if they were the most interesting thing on existence.

-With his head low and eyes deep closed in… embarrassment? No, that can't be. That damn arrogant peacock would never as much as to feel shame by any of the ridiculous things he had ever said! But then Jin Zixuan finally speaks up, voice strangely low and stammering.

-“I am… I am sorry for all the words I spoke about Maiden Jiang…” It was so low, Wei Wuxian couldn't barely caught up on what he said had it been any lower.

-Wei Wuxian had stared at him incredulously, his genius brain coming up with a single word, a single question: “What?” He was-- he was apologizing? The Young Mistress? Surely, hell must have frozen over for such a thing came to be!

-Jin Zixuan had flinched slight, then spoke higher in the solely embarrassment he was going through in his nervous splendor: “I said I am sorry for bad mouthing her! I really am, alright?!”

-Granted, Wei Wuxian didn't believe at him at first. After all those years, only now Jin Zixuan apologies and he thinks Wei Wuxian would just accept it like a forgiving fool? Ha! As if!

-“Prove it.” “I am speaking the trut- Par-pardon?” “I said, prove it.”

-Jin Zixuan wasn't a fool. He knew his half-assed (to Wei Wuxian, and to Jiang Cheng as well if he were there, which was good he wasn't because Jin Zixuan didn't think he would be able to deal with the Jiang Sect Heir) wasn't very believable to him. Jin Zixuan, now, honestly regretted it, however. But how to prove? Honestly, he didn't think that far.

-“I…” “Can't, huh? Just as expected.”

-Jin Zixuan’s face burned in shame. He felt like just turning on his heel and sprinting away like his life depended on it. Damn, he didn't know how to deal with a situation like that!

-After that disaster, Jin Zixuan avoided Wei Wuxian like he was the plague. Not that he would admit it.

-Wei Wuxian didn't know what he expected, but he felt disappointed nonetheless. Why did he think the peacock was any good for a moment anyway?! Idiot!

-... But, he didn't seem like he was lying. The Jin Sect Heir definitely wasn't the type to bow to someone of Wei Wuxian’s status (a servant’s son, Madam Yu’s rage filled voice taunted him) and he looked so… conflicted when Wei Wuxian said those words.

-... Damn it, now he felt bad! He isn't supposed to feel bad about the peacock, but his heart didn't listen to him. It heavined like those lifts Madam Yu made them train with, except it was on his chest.

-So, when Wei Wuxian could no longer bear it, he stormed to where the hell Jin Zixuan was at and spoke loudly: “Young Master Jin! How good to see you! Wanna take look at the gardens with me? Of course you do!”

-Wei Wuxian didn't give him time to answer and just grabbed his arm and yanked him away, ignoring the blasphemed looks and shouts the other Jin Sect members gave him as he took Jin Zixuan with him, not looking back to see the other’s face and also forgetting that the Cloud Recesses didn't have gardens. And also ignoring that he broke some rules, he could live with that.

-Jin Zixuan let himself be, momentarily shocked to react in any way until Wei Wuxian stopped near a tree and looked at him with (always) determined grey eyes.

-“Listen, I am not convinced you're feeling bad about my Shijie, but I am going to give you a chance because she likes you! Be grateful I didn't tell Jiang Cheng anything.”

-Jin Zixuan listened in silence, brows furrowed hilariously and mouth slightly agape. Just what--? Wei Wuxian was… giving him a chance to prove himself?

-After that, they became more passive with each other. But… Jin Zixuan gaze lingered on the other far too long, Wei Wuxian now started smiling at him genuinely, completely ignoring the Second Jade of Lan whom he once he couldn't get enough of teasing to.

-Jiang Cheng was suspicious, and gave sharp eyes to Wei Wuxian, but when the Jin Sect Heir didn't seem to mind anymore the remarks and the nonsense Wei Wuxian sprouted to him, Jiang Cheng could only see himself become more and more confused. Just what was going on with those two?

-They became closer as time went by, Wei Wuxian started hanging around and Jin Zixuan invited him to the Caiyi Town once, then twice, then thrice, then… Just went going.

-It was strange, but Jin Zixuan felt warm around him, felt his palms sweating nervously whenever he waited for Wei Wuxian to come to encounter him before going to the Caiyi Town. He felt his cheeks flaring up more and more when the other laughed and-- and--

-Until one day, Jin Zixuan couldn't take it anymore when Wei Wuxian spoke about his engagement with Jiang Yanli.

-“...No.” “...What?” “Not her. I-- She isn't the one.”

-Wei Wuxian was confused. Didn't Jin Zixuan want to prove himself so he could be more worthy of Shijie?

-Meanwhile, Jin Zixuan felt like he could just die from embarrassment there and then. Just what nonsense did he just sprout?!

- “What do you mean she isn't the one? Are you saying she isn't good enough?”

-Wei Wuxian could feel his anger flaming up. Just when he thought the peacock wasn't so bad! He should have thought better.

-“No! That's not it! It- it is you! You're the one!”

-Silence echoed and so Jin Zixuan could be buried alive and he wouldn't care. Wei Wuxian was dead ass confused. What the hell?

-After that incident, Jin Zixuan loudly declared he would start courting Wei Wuxian no matter the consequences. After that scandal, the engagement had been broke off, Madam Jin’s rage not being enough to stop Jin Zixuan.

-Wei Wuxian was in an awkward state. He didn't want to hurt his Shijie and-- the peacock was into him? Like, seriously? He knew he was handsome and all but-- It was just a shock.

-Jin Zixuan had come stumbling next to him and cited a sappy poem (to this day on Wei Wuxian wasn't sure if he wrote that or he paid someone else to, but laughed his ass off to it as Jin Zixuan blushed deeply at the memory), praising his beauty and so on.

-Madam Yu and his siblings and Uncle were… rather off with the whole ordeal (he swore Zidian’s lighting was much more intensified than usual, and Wei Wuxian wasn't sure with whom she was angry with. Most likely with him, for sure). (He also felt like Jiang Cheng was being more aggressive with Jin Zixuan, too, as of now the engagement had been broke and he was letting out all the pent up anger. Wei Wuxian didn't expect his Shijie to smile at Jin Zixuan passive-aggressively rather than being sad. It was… good, though. He didn't want to make his Shijie feel bad in any way no matter what, but-- Was she really alright with it….?)

-Uncle Jiang had let out a frown, unsure on what to make of the situation. But-- “Whatever A-Xian wants is alright with me.” Madam Yu had given her husband a fierce glare at that.

-That was the question. What did Wei Wuxian want? He thought about as Jin Zixuan (yet again) come to him and offered a gift. Wei Wuxian was surprised he didn't expect the other to give him anything-- so far it has been sappy poems, awkward praises and stumbling declarations.

-It was a flute. A Dizi, to be specific. Wei Wuxian was confused on why Jin Zixuan would give him something like that-- He never told the other he could play and wasn't the Dizi a peasant’s instrument by the other’s standards? … Though it was very well made-- beautiful carvings in darkened gold (he mentally snorted) and a jade pendant connected to the flute by a silk thread.

-“Why… a flute?” “B-because… it reminded of you. I heard Nie Huaisang saying you could play so I--!”

-("Hey, why it reminded you of me? It is all golden and fancy! Just like you." "... Please, just appreciate it.")

-Wei Wuxian had laughed. Laughed so joyously and loudly, Jin Zixuan had stood there with a confused expression even as he held out the Dizi to him. He knew what he wanted.

- “A-alright,” He spoke as his laugh ceased. “I accept your feelings, Young Master Jin~ Not even you could resist my charms, heh?”

-He took the flute and smiled sincerely to the other; a beautiful, sun-like smile. “I am naming it ‘Chenqing’, for it is a sign of your- our feelings.”

-They were happy. Really. Even after they left Gusu, they started to go on night hunts together and even if they had their problems, they managed it.

-Jin Zixuan didn't know how his beloved could take all that spice, but ate it if made Wei Wuxian happy. He would regret it next, but just a bit.

-They missed each other a lot, for both had duties to attend but-- they were meant to each other. Jin Zixuan knew it, he knew.

-Wei Wuxian would play the flute for them when they were together and alone, calming as Jin Zixuan lied down with his head resting on Wei Wuxian’s lap, watching the sunset as the lotus painted the scenery on the lake at Lotus Pier.

-Once, they had a fight after Jin Zixuan had himself injured on a night hunt (“Why you stood on my way!” “My body moved on its own! I can't help it!”) and didn't talk for a while. Wei Wuxian sulked. Jin Zixuan fought the urge to go to his beloved when he saw the other’s eyes.

-(Jiang Yanli had given them both an earful after a while, when she saw those stubborn fools wouldn't mend it on their own. Jin Zixuan now knew how terrifying she could be.)

-Jin Zixuan had awkwardly apologized and Wei Wuxian just mumbled something and smiled, saying he was just relieved Jin Zixuan was fine. They hugged and cuddled the whole day after that.

-Jin Zixuan started calling his partner 'A-Ying' one day. Wei Wuxian couldn't be more happier.

-Soon, Jin Zixuan found himself with some lovesick nicknames, courtesy of Wei Wuxian. (He didn't mind, both of they had reached the stage of sickeningly sweethearts at this point.)

For @klashta-neali,

(Xiyao is next ^^)

Ningxian

-When Wei Wuxian first praised him for his archery, Wen Ning never felt so *warm* in his life.

-He loved his sister, yes, and he knew she did, too. But all the time he remembered her yelling at him from getting the wrong herbs and her sighs didn't help him in any way with his stuttering and shy self.

-Even if he knew they were healers, not killers, it still hurt when the other Wen Sect Members would look down on him and laugh at his incompetence.

-So, after so long, hearing someone praise him honestly like that, a genuine smile on face and not laughing at him, Wen Ning felt happy.

-So, so much happy, he felt a pleasant curling at his chest even if his shyness made him initially hide from the other.

-Wei Wuxian was his (courtesy) name, and Wen Ning gave his own name.

-At first, what he felt for Wei Wuxian was platonic respect, *gratefulness*, not even once the thought of being romantically involved with him crossing his mind.

-Of course, he did risky things for him, but to Wen Ning, helping Wei Wuxian was something that came naturally despite all the embarrassment he had to go through of.

-(Jumping on the lake at Lotus Pier might have been rather reckless, Wen Ning thinks.)

-But, but… Had he really the right to be next to him? He, for all worst and bad, did help in burning the Lotus Pier no matter how much he did not want to.

-Wen Ning felt a fear then, for surely Wei Wuxian would resent him. All the clans resented the Wens, even the ones that didn't have a shed of blood on their hands.

-Wei Wuxian didn't, but he was slight distrustful of him at first. His home, his companions, Madam Yu and Uncle Jiang had been burned down to ashes because of the Wens, of course he would be. Wen Ning, however, for all his timid demeanor, wasn't a coward.

-So, he helped him because, because…

-... Why he couldn't answer that? Was it simply because Wei Wuxian had been kind to him and recognized his skills? This might have been far too simply, but it made Wen Ning feel like he had a debt-- no, that he should support him no matter what.

-Because, to someone like Wen Ning, that small praise and him standing up for him was something he couldn't ever forget. But it wasn't because he was indebted to him, but because he…

-He liked him. He wanted to be his friend, someone he could trust even though Wen Ning knew he was insignificant compared to him; a Wen no matter how distant he was from the main branch, weak cultivation, couldn't even hit the bull’s eye at other people’s presence.

-Wei Wuxian will give you that, he didn't recall Wen Ning when he first helped him hide from those Wen Dogs, but then he squinted and had a brief flashback of a youth with teal eyes.

-Wei Wuxian had doubts on whether he should trust him or not, but he upon analysing him better, he knew Wen Ning was honest in his desire to help him.

-Then, he met esteemed healer Wen Qing and briefly wondered how they could be related.

-... They somewhat reminded him of Jiang Cheng and Shijie, yet were far too different.

-Wen Qing was fierce and strong, Wei Wuxian could tell that at first sight. Like Jiang Cheng, with his sharp eyes and straight face. But that was where the similarities ended for them.

-Wen Ning was kind and nice, but his shyness wasn't something his Shijie had, and their smiles were different. Shijie’s was… open to everyone see and bright, but Wen Ning’s was hesitant and reserved, as if he was scared that smiling at him would bring consequences in any way.

-But he was a nice guy, and tried to help heal Jiang Cheng and himself even as he used the wrong dose to a medicine or bandaged him messly.

-Wen Qing proved herself to be reliable and firmly set in not joining the slaughter the other Wens were at.

-Wei Wuxian felt relieved in meeting them, he realized one day. They helped him distract himself from the burning despair inside him, made him feel like he had a new family, another little brother and older sister.

-It was going to be fine, he reassured himself. He could do this, despairing and sadness won't bring him any good, it won't make the Wens at Lotus Pier *drop down and die*, it won't bring Madam Yu and Uncle Jiang back.

-The medicine felt much more bitter on his tongue at the remembrance.

-After giving up his golden core to Jiang Cheng (He deserves it, he is the Sect Leader now, he is his best friend and brother), Wei Wuxian felt… empty, at first.

-It reminded him of the times as a street kid that had to fight dogs for scraps of food. Why? He just felt so… weak, suddenly.

-He could starve now, his body was far more fragile now and he couldn't use cultivation anymore.

-Wen Ning had given him a concerned, helpless look when he thought he wasn't looking, but Wei Wuxian simply turned to him and smiled.

-’It is alright, I was the one to make this choice. I will face the consequences, now.’

-The unspoken words between could be understood, even if Wen Ning didn't really knew him that well.

-“Wei Gongzi…” “Come on, don't call me that.”

-Wei Wuxian laughed, albeit quieter than usual. Such a cute little thing, Wen Ning was.

-Of course, he knew they needed to leave soon. Wen Qing suggested they should leave Yunmeng as soon as possible to seek refuge-- She noticed him of other Wens that weren't involved in the war.

-But Wei Wuxian couldn't leave Jiang Cheng alone. He knew he had Shijie but… He swore to be at his side. They would be the Twin Heroes of Yunmeng.

-Wei Wuxian never thought that he would broke this promise, when Wen Ning said *those* words.

-Wen Ning started feeling more and more nervous around Wei Wuxian, but not the way he would he around anyone else normally.

-His stomach knotted and he felt like like butterflies were dancing there with all the churning.

-As they walked side-by-side (“You're not my servant or anything, we're friends, so it's okay to walk next to me, y’know?” “B-but--” “No buts!”), Wen Ning couldn't help but smile shyly as he looked down. He felt so happy around the other, it is the first time he liked to be with someone so much, outside of his family.

-It was always so hard to make friends to him.

-But Wei Wuxian was bright (now darkened by the tragedies he went through, but still smiled and always was going forward) and talked to him as if they knew each other for years.

-He should have payed attention to his surroundings more, huh.

-Wen Ning stumbled on a rock mid way and let out a small ‘Wah!’ as he fell next to Wei Wuxian, who let out a surprised sound of his own as Wen Ning fell on him.

-Wen Ning felt like screeching and apologizing-- Until he saw the beautiful man (awfully bold of you to believe I am not into cliché tropes) beneath him and his breath caught up evenly.

-How-- how did he never notice it before?

-“Wen Ning? You there?” “Y-yes!” “Mind getting off me or…?” “Of course!”

-Wen Ning stood up in an instant, nervously offering a hand to help Wei Wuxian, whose response was to eye it for a while before holding it and help himself standing up.

-“Your clothes are dirty…” “It's black, nobody will notice.”

-After that, they walked in silence, Wei Wuxian wondering if he did something wrong.

-Wen Ning confessed a week after.

-Wei Wuxian stood frozen, then he accepted. Because, didn't he love Wen Ning? Even if he wondered how the hell Wen Ning had… had feelings for him (and Wei Wuxian become confused and didn't understand it), Wei Wuxian just… didn't think of saying no.

-It definitely wasn't out of pity (Wei Wuxian would never degrade Wen Ning’s feelings like that), yet he didn't feel like anything other than taking in gladly the confession, stumbling and nervous, yet full of determination and courage (those that almost everyone overlooked because of Wen Ning’s meekness. But Wei Wuxian knew better.)

-Wen Ning awkwardly tried holding hands with him, blushing as he thought on what Wen Qing would think of this whole affair. Wei Wuxian had chuckled, amusement sparkling in his eyes.

-Wei Wuxian dragged him to one town one day and buyed them a matching pair of hairpins, one silver with small blue jewels (they reminded him of Wen Ning’s eyes, and definitely planned to use that to tease the other), a plum motif adding to its beautification as short threads that carried the same blue stones jingled like bells.

-Wen Ning had hesitantly choosed a much simpler one; a white jade hairpin. Not much, but beautiful nonetheless.

-Wen Qing was suspicious as Wen Ning and Wei Wuxian came to her later that day, wearing jewelry she never saw before on their hairs (the later having a strangely girlish-looking one). The only thing she spoke was that it totally, utterly unmatched either of them.

-Wei Wuxian had given her a bright beam and Wen Ning smiled sheepishly but sweetly nonetheless.

-Wen Qing had huffed, warning for them to not spend their money on useless objects next time.

-Wen Ning smiled at the man next to him, eyes fluttering fondly as he watched him. He still couldn't understand how Wei Wuxian had come to accept his feelings, but he was happy he did. Not that he wouldn't be there if he didn't, sure he would be dejected but would understand and stay at his side even then. A mere rejection won't stop him from following Wei Wuxian.

-“Call me Wei Ying already! I just call you Wen Ning and aren't we dating?”

-Wen Ning shook his head out of his reverie, looking at Wei Wuxian confusingly.

-“Uh… Wei… Ying…?” “Not so paused! Wei Ying! Wei Ying!”

-Wei Wuxian laughed, thinking he was truly happy there and then.

I hope you like it;;;

Will make more if asks me! ^^

For @klashta-neali,

Xiyao

-Everything burnt down-- And Lan Xichen has ran away, leaving no explanation for his younger brother or uncle.

-Lan Xichen wasn't one to regret, but it pained him to remember that he left Lan Wangji to suffer alone (No, not alone, but Lan Qiren was far too strict on them even though Lan Xichen knew he genuinely cared for himself and his younger brother) as their home was burnt down.

-But then, even for the tragedy that happened to their home, escaping to Yunping was something he came to think as one of his best choices.

-Why? Because he met him there; a youth dressed in plain robes, a young, handsome and attractive face shining on him like the sun itself.

-Lan Xichen soon learned his name was Meng Yao (even though he was the one alongside his brother called The Twin Jades, the name ‘Jade’ was a fitting name for Meng Yao in his mind) and he helped him hide from the authorities in Yunping.

-Meng Yao lived and worked at the brothel there, and he seemed fearful if Lan Xichen would disapprove of him being at… such a ‘dirty’ place, specially because he was a cultivator, an immortal!

-But Lan Xichen didn't mind in the slightest, rather, he was worried that Meng Yao was helping him so much and he couldn't do much in return.

-Meng Yao was starry-eyed. Not only was he the most beautiful looking man he had ever met, but also the kindest.

-After being looked down at and belittled for so long for being a prostitute’s son, Meng Yao felt like Lan Xichen was a blessing from the heavens; he never once had even remotely treated him bad and genuinely saw him as an equal.

-For Meng Yao, that was the best reward he could ever ask for.

-(Albeit he had to admit Lan Xichen was rather useless in any kind of chores he tried help at. Meng Yao never thought someone could tear their own clothes accidentally through arm strength alone. But aside from that, he looked at everything with wonder at the Brothel, even at the simplest things, as if he never saw all that before.) (“Young Master--” “Please, you don't need to call me that. Meng Yao is more than enough.” “I find it disrespectful to not refer to someone who risked himself so much with equal respect, but if it is your wish, I won't question it. But, look at this comb I found isn't it pretty--”)

-(Of course, Lan Xichen returned it to its owner, a medium-ranking prostitute with light eyes and high cheekbones, but he was so impressed he just had to show it to Meng Yao, who was amused at this display of… child-like curiosity. He almost wondered if all the immortals were like that, but-- Lan Xichen was Lan Xichen, so of course he was who he was.)

-For Lan Huan, Meng Yao was someone to be admired, no matter the circumstances of his birth.

-He was a hard-working youth with bright eyes and a brilliant mind, someone that could see so much more than the dirty floor of the Brothel he had always to clean (not that Lan Xichen found it dishonorable by any means; Meng Yao was capable of things Lan Xichen couldn't and knew much, even if they were simply or meaningless in Meng Yao’s own opinion. But Lan Xichen had said that no knowledge was meaningless and Meng Yao become silent for a few moments, only to then smile and say he was right), and Lan Xichen wanted to help Meng Yao, not simply because he was indebted to him, but because he liked him.

-Lan Xichen liked, because how could he not? Meng Yao was gentle, kind, fierce, strong-willed and smart-- but it was not a friends or siblings’ like, no, it was different.

-His brotherly love for Lan Wangji was much stronger, he was his younger brother he watched grow up and cherished since an infant after all, but the feelings he had for Meng Yao were different, but no less beautiful.

-Lan Xichen found himself staring dreamily at Meng Yao’s face, when he washed clothes, or when was speaking, or when was smiling joyfully, or when he was laughing freely, rather than the reserved chuckle he normally used.

-Lan Xichen knew there was something… strange with this, at the way his eyes followed Meng Yao’s figure or when his eyes would became half-lidded in fondness as his cheeks would be dusted in a light pink.

-He didn't particularly care. If Meng Yao was the one, man or not, son of a prostitute or not, why should he push those feelings aside? He was more than glad in being a part of Meng Yao’s life, even if briefly, even if he would eventually just become just a memory.

-He didn't want to abandon Meng Yao, no, not at this point. But he would eventually have to, his Sect, his brother and uncle were waiting, after all.

-It hurt, to have to choose, but he had only been with Meng Yao for such a short time in his life (for he was a cultivator, and years were nothing than a small time, and so were months), and he had been at his Sect his whole life until then.

-Surely, Meng Yao knew this. But… did he notice his romantic feelings for him? Meng Yao was a perceptive person, after all.

-But Meng Yao ever did notice, then he never once spoke about it, always meeting his eyes in a lightly fashion and blinking, asking if there was something wrong.

-Lan Xichen would calmly smile and say no, there was nothing wrong.

-Accidentally taking a sip of a cup must have been a… bad idea, perhaps. The (in)famous Lan’s (almost non existent, to be entirely fair) tolerance to alcohol was inconvenient in a situation like that.

-Of course, Lan Xichen thought it was water, but even that was enough to make him drunk.

-It was night, stars shining brightly on the sky, moon round and silver as it gave its light to the darkest of the places.

-So, when Meng Yao walked in after a while and saw a dozing, oddly cheerful Zewu-Jun with fair cheek pink, he didn't held back his thoughts.

-“A-Yao…” “Zewu-Jun? Just what…?” “Don't worry!!! I am alright, alright!!!”

-To say Meng Yao was confused was a given, but soon his confusion turned in amusement.

-“Are you…” “Hey, hey!!! A-Yao, I think you're beautiful!!!” “... What did you say?”

-Meng Yao was fairly shocked, but not because of someone praising his looks (no, he was self-aware enough to know his face was handsome enough even if it didn't do much for him), but because Lan Xichen of all people said so. After all, no looks could ever surpass those of Zewu-Jun’s, surely, and why would he acknowledge it, at all?

-“You know, I really like you!!! I don't want to-- to leave you!!!” “Ah…” “Will A-Yao forgive me? Surely, someday, I will return to you, if I live--” “Don't say that. You will live.” “...Yes.”

-Lan Xichen suddenly looked strangely down. Meng Yao wondered if the alcohol was making him feel strange, because now he very sure the other was drunk, but... how much did he drank to reach this point…?

-The evening passed in silence, then, and Meng Yao helped Lan Xichen reach the bed.

-Meng Yao thought it better to not comment about the previous night when morning come and Lan Xichen woke, offering him some herbs to help with possible hangover.

-Lan Xichen smiled and said it was fine, but Meng Yao insisted.

- “Young Master Meng…” “I told you, Meng Yao is alright and---”

-Didn't you call me A-Yao last night?

- “???” “... No, it's nothing.” “By looking at your eyes, it doesn't seems to be nothing. Tell me, are we not friends?” “It’s…”

-Meng Yao shook his head.

- “Please, don't concern yourself over it, Zewu-Jun. It's nothing important, really.”

-Lan Xichen didn't look convinced (Meng Yao swore there was a hint of sadness in his eyes), but let it go, if just for now.

-“I thank you for all of your help and time, Youn- Meng Yao.” “No, I should be the one to thank you. All the time I spent with you is something I won't ever forget in this lifetime.”

-Lan Xichen smiled, eyelids lowering in half-fondness, half-sadness.

-“I am glad to have met you, Meng Yao.” “... Call me A-Yao.”

-Lan Xichen blinked, then looked back at the youth, hair half tied up in a ponytail (so short in comparison to Lan Huan’s own waist-length hair) and robes in the colors of plain brown and slight grimy white.

-Lan Xichen placed the smiled back on and walked towards Meng Yao, taking the other’s hands on his own two and covering them, almost in a confession-like fashion.

-“... A-Yao, meeting was like a blessing to me. Never I knew someone like you before and I won't know someone else in the future. I… have to leave now, but I will return to you, one day. So, for now, have this.”

-Lan Xichen placed a white jade stone on Meng Yao’s hands, then took one of his hand and covered the stone with it.

-“I am aware it is not much, but if you ever can, it will grant you passage to the Cloud Recess.”

-Lan Xichen helds the other hands tightly, shutting his eyes for a moment. Then, he let out a breath, smiling (always the friendly, approachable smile, but this time there was something different about it, something… more passionate), Lan Xichen brought Meng Yao’s hands to his lips, then kissed then tenderly.

- “A-Yao… I won't say those words now, but in the future, I promise I will pay you back.”

-Meng Yao’s eyes widened, and he could only observe as Lan Xichen slowly let go of his hands (calloused and somewhat rough from all the housework he did at the brothel), and turned on his heels, painfully slowly parting their ways then as Meng Yao could only watch Lan Xichen’s back, figure fading aways as he moved on.

-Meng Yao let one of his arms fall to his side, his other hand tightly gripping the stone Lan Xichen had gifted him with, but he smiled.

-Meng Yao raised the hand close to his chest, mumbling words only himself could hear then.

-“Zewu-jun, I am eternally grateful to meet you.”

-He was the reason he decided to ally himself to the QingheNie Sect and raise himself to become someone worthy to be with Lan Xichen, even if it just one of the reasons.

I hope you can enjoy it! ^^''

Hi, I saw your JZX/WWX headcanons, and they were p e r f e c t. I'd love to see more!

Hey there! Sorry it tooks me ages sksnskdkdkldl. This post will probably have a second part btw ^-^

Zixian ft actual headcanons (or not)

-Alternates in sweethearts that could make people around them get diabetes and an old married couple that argue for the pettiest thing, there is no in-between.

-Expect Wei Wuxian to dramatically say he's leaving Jin Zixuan every time they finish a heated discussion. People can see Jin Zixuan having a heart attack, and worst, he falls for it Every. Single. Time.

-No one is sure how exactly their relationship works.

-JZX: B-but that can't be! Don't tell me you have been fooling around with me the whole time?! WWX:... You know this is becoming repetitive

-The next day, the whole affair seems to be forgotten, and the couple are being all lovey-dovey with each other, aka Wei Wuxian is clinging to Jin Zixuan, blowing kisses whenever he gets the chance and Jin Zixuan is smiling and listening to whatever nonsense Wei Wuxian is speaking.

-Though for all of it, they often have to be apart as Jin Zixuan is a Sect Heir and Wei Wuxian is the Head Disciple at his own sect. They often go together on night hunts, however.

-As the time went by, their fighting style become more and more synchronized, specially supported after the infamous incident where Jin Zixuan injured himself and, despite the later's words, Wei Wuxian was often blamed for it, the Jin Sect taking any chance to problematize Wei Wuxian and this so scandalous affair between those two.

-Obviously, they shouldn't let such a thing happen again, so after Jiang Yanli had they make up amends with each other, they agreed that they should trust more each's strength and train harder so the incident wouldn't repeat itself or worse.

-The tales of the Jin Sect Heir and the Head Disciple of Yunmeng Jiang valiantly piercing and submitting fierce corpses and spirits soon spread around the cultivation world, many comparing their moves to a deadly dance.

-Jiang Cheng wasn't pleased with this turn of events, a pang of hurt in his chest when he heard about this, after all wasn't he and Wei Wuxian supposed to be the Twin Heroes of Yunmeng?

-Later, Wei Wuxian assured he could be a 'battle couple' with Jin Zixuan and be the Two Prides of Yunmeng with Jiang Cheng at the same time, joking that Jiang Cheng shouldn't sulk just because he still was single and Wei Wuxian got himself a partner already.

-Jin Zixuan wondered half-distressed and half-curious why Jiang Cheng seemed to be more aggressive than usual when they met at the next hunt alongside Wei Wuxian and some disciples from Yunmeng Jiang and Lanling Jin.

-"Wha-?! Y-you could have almost killed me! Are you looking at where you are throwing your sword?!" "Sorry, my hand slipped." "You aren't using your hands to control your sword!"

-Wei Wuxian wasn't sure on whether laugh his ass off or punch Jiang Cheng.

-Yu Ziyuan still didn't approve of them, because Wei Wuxian stole her husband's attention and affection for his own son, made Jiang Cheng pale with his skills and talent and now he was stealing her daughter's fiancée too?! How could she bear to even tolerate this-- this servant's son anymore?!

-Jiang Yanli tried to calm her mother, assuring it was fine, but Madam Yu wasn't having it so easily. Jiang Yanli was saddened about it, but she couldn't deny that she wasn't sad about having the man she liked, even if he did not like her back, falling for her brother instead, but… it was it. Jin Zixuan wasn't interested in her, and he was making Wei Wuxian happy despite his flaws. She couldn't break that. Jiang Yanli knew she needed to move on, even if it hurt.

-So she smiled for A-Xian and soon found that she didn't really mind anymore, as she once said very passive-aggressively that she wouldn't forgive Jin Zixuan if he ever hurt Wei Wuxian.

-Jiang Cheng wasn't as passive, resembling Madam Yu more than ever as he looked at Jin Zixuan with a scowl so deep it tarnished his otherwise handsome features and a glare so fierce it could have been a mass-murder weapon if looks could kill.

-Jin Zixuan was now sure it was a Yunmeng thing.

-After training with it, Wei Wuxian began to use Chenqing as a weapon, albeit messily at start, as he, for all his ability at playing the instrument, he never used it as a weapon before.

-His technique increased with time, using it to distract and weaken opponents as Jin Zixuan took lead on the fighting.

-But soon, blood-soaked story happened, the difference being that Wei Wuxian wasn't there at the burning of Lotus Pier happened, instead he was at Lanling Jin with his lover, taking a break from his injuries as Jin Zixuan refused to leave him at the Cave when he, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji defied that bastard Wen Chao and stood up for Luo Qingyang. (Not gonna expand here).

-Jiang Cheng had come to Yunmeng nonetheles, and the only good thing was that his sister wasn't there to see what he saw when the Wens invaded, slaughtering all, even his Mother and Father, and he cursed Wei Wuxian at that moment, for they wanted to punish him and he wasn't there, and even so it happened.

-But what come to his mind was, what if they turn their sights to Lanling Jin when they discovered he was there? It was a well-known fact about his affair with Jin Zixuan.

-Surely, that coward Jin Guangshan wouldn't hesitate to turn his back on them. Then, not only Yunmeng would have suffered for Wei Wuxian's mistake, but Lanling as well.

-But Jin Zixuan had stood up and defied Wen Chao as well. It will be hard to avoid that fate.

-Wei Wuxian was nothing shorter than horrified when he discovered what had fall on Yunmeng, blaming himself for what had happened. He wasn't wrong, even if Wen Chao's pettiness had been unjust.

-*Time Skip to Burial Mounds bc it is becoming a canon divergence half-assed fic*

-After the rise of the Yiling Patriarch, who carried a golden flute with a sound that would soon be known as the sound of death, that would bring dread and fear to anyone if he as much as reached for the beautiful flute.

-Wen Chao died. He was happy.

-Jin Zixuan was shocked, for his Sect, no, his father, was too cowardly to stand up against the Wen, not allowing him to participate at the Sunshot Campaign then.

-But he was also so-- so happy. Words cannot describe the pain in his chest when he heard about the death of Wei Wuxian (A-Ying) at the Burial Mounds. The thought about his very soul not being allowed peace was enough to send the chills to Jin Zixuan.

-Soon, however, the Lanling Jin wasn't able to stand still. They would participate on the Sunshot Campaign then.

-Jin Zixuan swore he wouldn't ever let go of Wei Wuxian then, even as he became somber and feared from his demonic cultivation.

-Wei Wuxian had smiled.

-"Even if I am not welcomed, you still didn't give up, huh?" "Shut up. Don't joke about this, A-Ying." "... Yeah. You know I will not be tolerated by your sect, right?" "It doesn't matter. I will go against my own father if I need-- Mother has taught me to not be like him." "Like him? Are you serious? You barely resemble him aside from your looks. You're almost like a copy of that scary Madam Jin!" "Ugh… She will kill me after this…"

-*Time skip 5 years*

-Their relationship became more closer, and Jin Zixuan soon declared that he would make Weo Wuxian his cultivation partner, claiming that any offense to the Yiling Patriarch was an offense towards Jin Zixuan himself. Agaisnt the Lanling Jin's approval, he gave Wei Wuxian his support, to which they had to oblige if they wanted to keep a good reputation.

To be continued?

Jiang Yanli felt her eyes widen, a sudden feeling of dread coming to haunt inside her as she looked at the boy clad in golden robes, the same robes that her beloved wore the last time she saw him, so long ago.

'That can't be.'

"You..." Now, she could see the similarities-- how, how could she not have seen it before?

"...Mother?" The young boy called, slow and low from hesitation-- and fear- no, not fear, but sadness, the way his eyebrows drawn together and his lips curled downwards making a perfect picture of pitifulness.

Jiang Yanli, the Yiling Matriarch, tensed, her shoulders that were covered in dark, tattered robes stiffening. She could feel, even though she didn't look back, that Wei Wuxian, her dear young brother, that didn't deserve the fate that had befallen him, was glancing at her anxiously, his eyes begging her.

"Mother--"

"Go back!" The once smiling young girl screamed, her tired, worn-out complexion making her sudden outburst all the more fearful as she glared at Jin Ling with reddened eyes, teeth gritting together as she took deeps breaths.

Jin Ling had recoiled back, his demeanor all the more hurt and shocked as he stared at her and the fierce corpse that had spoke-- his uncle.

"B-but, I--" "Leave! Never come back!"

Jiang Yanli couldn't see this child-- the son she bore. He didn't deserve to have a Mother as fallen as her, she couldn't ever redempt for leaving him or her other young brother.

Jiang Yanli gathered her breath, composing herself.

"Shi... jie.." Wei Wuxian let out, knowing what was going on inside her mind, and hating that he couldn't do anything to help her, but... she couldn't just yell at her son like that...!

"Silence." Jiang Yanli let out, not turning her head to look at the Ghost General, her once gentle yellow eyes staring down on Jin Ling coldly. "Get out of here and never come back," She repeated her previous word, ignoring the unbearable feeling in her chest, struggling to keep looking at the boy that resembled Jin Zixuan so much. "This isn't your place and I am not your mother." Not anymore, not ever since a long time ago.

Jin Ling felt his fist clench painfully at his side, looking at his Mother's- no, the Yiling Matriarch's ugly red eyes with his trembling ones, unshed tears dancing at the corner of them.

This wasn't fair!

At their matching stare down, a Mother that had forsaken her child and a Boy that pitifully hoped with the innocence of a young child that he would find his Mother, all that Wei Wuxian could do was watch, face as blank and pale as a paper.

Even though he wanted to yell.

Even though he wanted to say to his beloved Shijie that she shouldn't do this to her son too-- Wasn't Jin Zixuan and Jiang Cheng enough?

Slowly, Wei Wuxian felt his mouth curl in distate. Jiang Yanli didn't see it, too busy trying to hide her own emotions in front of Jin Ling to notice anything else around her.

Seconds, maybe minutes, passed, but it felt like an eternity there and then.

Jin Ling had surrendered.

Jiang Yanli couldn't celebrate.

He left, not wanting to take any more blow than that. His own Mother didn't want him-- Just why?

He had to cry, he wanted to, but he couldn't lower his head so easily. He would leave with, at least, his head raised and proud, even if it was a facade.

Jiang Yanli watched her son go, her red eyes empty and dead, and expression that had become usual of lately.

Jiang Yanli turned on her heel, she wouldn't look back, too.

"Let's go, A-Xian."

"... Yes, Shijie."

Hahahaha, it's horrible but-- I had just... the urge to write...

Yiling Matriarch Jiang Yanli but Jin Ling is born before she starts demonic cultivation and after Wei Wuxian dies. He hears stories that talk about his uncle Wei Ying and his mother who lives in the burial mounds with the Wen remnants. When he asks about what happened to Wei Wuxian, nobody answers. It's when he's on a night hunt and almost killed that he meets his mother and uncle. He realizes why nobody told him anything because Jiang Yanli brought Wei Wuxian back as her ghost general.

She … isn’t what he had been expecting. The portrait his father kept in his room showed a young, pretty woman in purple robes. Uncle Jiang said she was always smiling and that she was the kindest person he had ever known. The woman before him wore dark clothes and looked like she hasn’t had a decent meal in weeks. She had dark circles under her red eyes and there was no smile on her face.

She didn’t recognize him and that hurt more than words could describe. She called him a pest and was about to command the corpses surrounding them to attack until one of them spoke.

“Shiji,” he said. Jin Ling is shocked to realize that he recognizes the corpse. His Uncle Jiang had a drawing of him when he was alive. Could it be-? “The bell on his belt… I recognize it.”

How come it lead this? Yu Ziyuan thought fervently, her lips trembling in anger as Jiang Fengmian refused yet again her request to watch her spar.

She could only watch him go, purples robes swaying behind him as he walked in that calm manner that Yu Ziyuan once thought was charming.

Now, everything it brought to her was frustration, anger and confusion. How dare he make her watch his back everytime she sought him!

But it was not just to her requests to spar. Everything! Every single thing she asked for him to come, he didn't even seen to consider it!

A walk around Lotus Pier, drink tea together...

Yu Ziyuan felt her fist clench painfully at her side. She wouldn't be humiliated by a man that wouldn't even explain himself to his fiancé. She didn't do anything wrong, did she?

"Hmph!" Yu Ziyuan turned her own back, not willing to take anymore of this nonsense.

------

Jiang Fengmian, for all his growing affection for the Third Lady of Meishan Yu, wouldn't, couldn't tolerate her belittling his friends.

It was not just Wei Changze, but Cangse Sanren as well!

"What a shameless, insufferable woman! How come a Cultivator as talented as her is interested in a lowly servant?! Surely, she is out of her mind."

Yu Ziyuan, as strong and firm she was, just couldn't mince her words. It was as if she didn't care about how could it affect the others around it.

And Jiang Fengmian, even though thise insults weren't directed at him, felt like he was personally offended for seven generations.

He turned his back on her, because even though he disliked this part of her, his foolishness didn't allow him to confront her directly and simply talk about it.

Perhaps, had he just come to her and spill out his feelings, his marriage wouldn't have been as badly as it ended up being.

Short...

jfm loved yzy with all his heart since back when they were young. the reason he rejected her was simple. she had called wcz a worthless servant and no, jfm wouldn’t have anyone belittling his best friend as close as a brother

She thought nothing of calling Jiang Fengmian’s servant worthless and weak when he lost in their sparing match one afternoon. She had looked over to the Jiang sect heir, expecting him to be laughing at the other mans expense with the others or smiling at her, proud that his betrothed was so skilled. She hadn’t been expecting for his eyes to be like ice.

The change had been so sudden that it shocked her. Her fiance had been nothing but wonderful to her during her families visit to Lotus Pier. He had been kind and patient and gentlemanly to her.

But after she had mocked Wei Changze everything changed.

Okay but consider this:

-Michikatsu lowkey pretends to became depressed every time Muzan enters in just to watch Yoriichi Get Angry(tm)

-Michikatsu: *watches Muzan and Yoriichi argue*

Michikatsu: n i c e

-Yoriichi is a real kendo practitioner. He actually was to be a double for the actor supposed to be Yoriichi but then they liked his acting so much they decided to keep him as the main actor.

-Also, because some people legitimately thought he and Michikatsu were related.

-Muzan Jackson is an actual... dancer. Surprise surprise.

-He is also the king of holding petty grudges. That being sad, he Resents and Remembers Yoriichi for his ruined makeup until his last breath.

-Michikatsu is an young actor that practices Iaido as a hobby. He was initially to be Yoriichi, but after checking over the scripts, he found Kokushibo's personality (and pettiness) more amusing, thus deciding to play him.

-Michikatsu and Yoriichi's friendship is legendary. One day after meeting each other they already wore matching friendship bracelets (on Yoriichi's whim).

-They keep doing the shitty bro memes just because.

-Yoriichi: Bro, them the whole world we are bros.

Michikatsu, leaning in: *whispers* We are brow.

Yoriichi: Why did you whisper it, bro?

Michikatsu: Because you're my whole world, bro.

Yoriichi: Bro...

-(The rest of the cast: *looks at camera like they are on The Office*)

-After having to say mean lines about Yoriichi, Michikatsu became sad for a week straight.

-Likewise, Yoriichi cried at Michikatsu's 'death'.

-Muzan was losing his shit at the background the whole time.

-Michikatsu, after some time in the role, became so angry at Kokushibo he actually sucker punched himself on the face.

-The dressers and people doing the makeup weren't amused.

-They had to play the purplening mark as a injury on a battle scene.

-Yoriichi was horrified.

So I Made Something.. Actor Au
So I Made Something.. Actor Au

so I made something.. actor au

where they're shooting the kimetsu no yaiba anime and they are still, when in real life, enemies.

because one time when shooting the scene where muzan is half beaten and yoriichi is glaring at him, yoriichi had to damage some of muzan's makeup that muzan did himself.

and muzan insulted and made fun of michikatsu's “eyeballs costume” and made michikatsu sad for a while, so yoriichi dislikes muzan as well.

in this au, muzan's last name is..! jackson..*cackles*

headcanon is that michikatsu and yoriichi are like chris Hemsworth and tom hiddleston's relationships

and muzan knows now to dance ((u know what I mean
