Multiple Personalities - Tumblr Posts
This interaction has me thinking of an AU where Atem developed DID (Multiple Personality Disorder in layman's terms) upon regaining his memories. Like the memories didn't fuse seamlessly with his new identity as they did in Canon and instead it caused him to have two distinct personalities form, one being Atem from Ancient Egypt, and the other being Yami from the puzzle. And now they just coexist together in his mind. They mostly get along but will occasionally but heads over who gets more of Yugi's attention. I love the idea that Atem is the more responsible one since he had to bear the responsibilities of royalty his whole life while Yami is more chaotic because he only really knows the chaos of the puzzle and all of the shenanigans he's gotten up to with Yugi and his friends. That's how scenarios like the one above happen lol.
Atem: Let me show you a picture from last night that really upset me Yami: Okay, but in my defense, Kaiba bet me 50 cents I couldn’t drink all that shampoo. Atem: That’s not what I wanted to- you drank SHAMPOO?!
So I drew what I see a human version of Sun and Moon to be. They're the same person technically since they share a body. It's a small case of D.I.D. and Sun is the "host". Sun is extremely afraid of the dark (due to shit as a kid, I won't go into detail for my sanity), so his mind created Moon for him, the one who embraces the darkness and what it has to offer with open arms. They both love kids even if Moon creeps the kids out a bit with his interesting personality.
They wear a vest without a shirt that has sleeves under it since it can get really hot playing and keeping kids safe all day long along with gloves with a bell on it (for blind kids to hear them), long striped pants that, pointed/curled shoes (?), and whatever tf that curly thing is around clowns' necks. Sun wears a headband and Moon switches it to his night cap when he comes out along with his name tag. The colors on their clothing appear to change colors in the darkness and light. Find the lighting sweet spot and they will appear purple with a really light teal tint on the yellow/white.

For a long time, hands have been reaching for the sketch of this drawing. It was very scary to take it on because of its complexity, but I kind of coped.
