Headcanon for Why MA Raph Lost His Memories
The memories Raph lost during the Mutant Apocalypse are associated by bad or traumatic moments in his life.
I was rewatching Mutant Apocalypse and kind of noticed something. In the beginning, we see that Raph remembers his brothers but not Splinter. Same with Chompy and most likely Mona.
I think after witnessing the Mutagen bomb, his brain was so tired of the mental trauma that it sort of did a reboot. But, only the good memories stayed. Like deleting files in your computer.
Splinter was one of them because his death affected Raph then actually expressed. He saw his dad get killed and couldn’t save him. I think a part of him just wanted to forget.
Chompy and Mona got erased because they are sort of associated with space. Season 4 was not a great place mentally for the characters. Along with everyone, he had this weight on his shoulders to save the Earth, most importantly his loved ones. Plus, Raph constantly stated that he hated space and would get sick.
But, his love for Chompy was so strong, Raph remembered him at first glance.

2012 Karai & Her Foot Arc
Wouldn’t have been cool if there was an arc about Karai and her journey of becoming a leader and redeeming the Foot?
I would’ve loved to see that. Karai got really sidelined after S2 and it sucked. I liked her and wanted to see more. She could have learned how to be a leader from Leo, it would be fun brother/sister bonding. Don’t you think? 😁❤️
Can I also say that her new foot ninjas are crappy fighters? They either lose tremendously, don’t do anything, or run away. Shini is the only good one. The previous foot ninja may not have been amazing fighters, but at least they weren’t chickens. 😂
I wish that was a storyline in season 5 instead of the arcs we got(mostly Mutant Apocalypse, I don’t like that arc).
Also, did Karai seem weaker in the later seasons?
Compared to the earlier seasons, her fighting skills are lackluster in S4 and 5. Maybe it’s because of the mutagen in her blood or she relies on her snake too much? I don’t know but something felt off when watching Karai fight.
She also kinda lost her edge. In the first two seasons, she was cunning, flirtatious, and pretty much a badass. Now, something is off. I can’t really describe it.
I have very strong mixed feelings about Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse. But, alternate future or actual, I think we can all agree that the best part of it is that it means that Ice-Cream Kitty is canonically capable of living at least another 50 years.
Ok- so i don’t know if you have been asked this before and I apologize if you have and that I’m probably bothering you but-
I just re-watched the like “apocalypse” multi-episode of 2012 and saw chompy and I was wondering if (you’ve seen the episode), what would mutant chompy look like in that like “apocalypse” setting?
Would we stay with Mikey like he does in the show or like go try to find his dad? And what would he look like 🤩

chompy was closest to mikey when the mutagen bomb went off, protects him from the blast (shell gets damaged due to that)
he was unable to find raph, donnie, or leo, so he gets mikey to safety (later returns for ice cream kitty)
since chompy can't get back to space and there's no reason for him to anyways, he just ends up getting huge
stays with mikey/ick because he wants to protect the only family he has left
raph doesn't remember chompy at first
donnie's mind was transferred to metalhead's body, and essentially replaces his son's mind (not his choice, but metalhead's)
the mutagen bomb not only permanently disfigured leo and altered his mind, but also caused her leg injury to act up... amputation 👍
