Merry Christmas and TMNT Update!
Merry Christmas everyone! Just some updates but I've been hard in the TMNT brainrot. So first of all I just binged through the first 3 seasons of TMNT 87 AAGH SO GOOD it's so cute I love the boys so much! I finished 12 and WOW what a rush! Leo is the type of brother who would just carve his entire heart out for his family (and he basically does.) Raph is like the best brother, he grows SO much and cares SO much. Donnie is so adorable too, I'm glad he grew out of being a simp. He's a really sweet brother when he's not being like a stalker. Mikey literally saved them so many time just wow, what a lad. I love the dynamics of 12 so much. it's written like a tele-novella soap opera, but I say that only with love.
I'm on season 3 ep 7 of tmnt 03 and I saw Raph meeting a blind old lady who owns a cat and my heart melts, planning to actually rewatch that ep just cause my dogs interrupted the entire episode.
I also got my friend to sit with me and watch the 2007 tmnt movie and the Rise tmnt movies recently and they are literally amazing movies. I really hope Rise wins it's nomination.
I've been taking an obsessive amount of screenshots of tmnt 87 and sending live dms to a friend on discord, and I just wanna share some of my fav screenshots.
I wanted to take screenshots of 03 and 12 and Rise while watching them but the streaming platforms prevent me from taking screenshots.
This was such a cute episode, Michelangelo was so sad to not have money for a boogey board and Raphael towel whipped him and Leonardo in the back trying not to laugh out loud was so funny.
This ep was also great because it just ends with Splinter being stuck in this other dimension and the turtles are like "how do we save him!" and hitch a ride on an alien ship and just follow along and April is like "you can't leave me!" and next thing you know Splinter is shimmying his way to freedom and lands on them.
I don't remember this ep title, but I just think the goobers looking all sad is so cute and funny.

This is the episode that introduced 87 Leatherhead and they went back to Florida, I just think them looking sad while sinking was so funny looking.
I took a million screenshots on birthday boy mikey episode. He's so adorable and sweet. He got sad and ran away from home and was hooked up like this flushomatic torture device and idk it was so silly and so many cute expressions were in this ep.
Just a bunch more super cute moments. Like no one said how they acted when they got sick and I was not ready for them to be begging April and Splinter for attention and baby talking for more care. It was so cute and sweet. I also screenshotted Donnie falling cause his face cracks me up. I still can't get over how they're literally just little babies and April is totally their mom. (she reads them bedtime stories, it's canon)
He was so excited to film a turtle work out video.
This is one of the last frames of the season 3 finale and I think it's so funny they got rid of the Technodrome once and for all by sending them back to dimension X and they don't even look that happy. They're literally being celebrated and look so bummed out about it
BTW I have paramount but they don't have past season 2 available right now so I started watching it on internet archive, it's all there for free if you ever want to get your Cowabunga fix. (it's also why I could even take so many screenshots)

Headcanon for Why MA Raph Lost His Memories
The memories Raph lost during the Mutant Apocalypse are associated by bad or traumatic moments in his life.
I was rewatching Mutant Apocalypse and kind of noticed something. In the beginning, we see that Raph remembers his brothers but not Splinter. Same with Chompy and most likely Mona.
I think after witnessing the Mutagen bomb, his brain was so tired of the mental trauma that it sort of did a reboot. But, only the good memories stayed. Like deleting files in your computer.
Splinter was one of them because his death affected Raph then actually expressed. He saw his dad get killed and couldn’t save him. I think a part of him just wanted to forget.
Chompy and Mona got erased because they are sort of associated with space. Season 4 was not a great place mentally for the characters. Along with everyone, he had this weight on his shoulders to save the Earth, most importantly his loved ones. Plus, Raph constantly stated that he hated space and would get sick.
But, his love for Chompy was so strong, Raph remembered him at first glance.

2012 Donatello Headcanon
Leo almost dying twice and Splinter’s death effected Donnie more than the others.
*MENTIONS OF BLOOD & DEATH*
This is one of my favorite headcanons I wrote since I really delve into Donnie’s character even if it is not canon.
I came to the conclusion based on something Donnie said in season 5 in the Monster arc. While in a fight, Donnie mentioned that he hated blood. Someone had a headcanon that Splinter’s death was the reason. After getting stabbed and dropped from a building, there would be a lot of blood, but it was censored.
With Leo, Donnie felt like it was his fault his brother almost died the first time because Leo separated from the group after their argument.
I don’t know if I overanalyzed Donnie’s reaction to Leo’s second near death experience. I know the brothers were all there, but Donnie was sort of the medic and was trying to revive Leo. A lot of things must have been going through his head. Like if he does the wrong or no action, Leo will die and it will be his fault. Everyone would be devastated, but Donnie would make it tougher to handle since he will always wonder, “I healed him once, why couldn’t I do it again?” It would eat away at him of what might have been.
Leo survived, but those questions will never stop running through Donnie’s mind.
Splinter’s death had an affect on him because as I mentioned before, Donnie is the medic of the family. Seeing that he couldn’t do anything to save his father, only hug him along with his brothers. For the first few months, Donnie will try to find ways to prevent someone from dying, so he could save any of his loved ones.
Well, that’s it. Can’t believe I wrote so much.

On my like 5th watch through of ROTTMNT here’s some things I noticed
Granny CJ… 👀
The teapot shows up a LOT more than I thought it did
The reoccurring theme of Donnie actually truthfully being the Funny One and delivering actually funny and entertaining one liners
Donnie supposedly being the “smart one” while also messing up the most and being wrong almost all the time (like when he staked everything in the Raph Alone episode and lost several times in a row)
Donnie’s supposed “bad boy” image
Leo pointing out things and being right surprisingly a lot and knowing what people are going to do before they do it?? Despite his cockiness he’s very observant and has good gut instincts and it always surprises people (Probably a good reason for why they made him leader later)
Raph saying he’s bad at making plans then proceeds to solve the issue anyway with his plan of not having a plan
Mikey being the one who’s the least predictable and literally a wild card but also surprisingly the one who drops the jokes when things get serious, also the theme of his brothers supporting and loving him instead of making fun of him (like in previous iterations)
I also like that Mikey, of all people, is the one that lays down the hard truths while maintaining being the sweet and empathetic one
Mikey and Donnie hanging out all the time like they did in the 1990s live action movie
Mikey not being “clueless” (like they made him in past iterations) and working with Donnie to make plans that actually work because they’re both putting their heads together
Donnie going out of his way to protect people and putting himself in danger on purpose despite his vulnerabilities as a soft shelled turtle
Raph and Leo bickering but ultimately getting along really well and being understanding of each other like the 1990s live action movie
Donnie and Leo not getting along and picking on each other all the time
Splinter being more than a background character and being strong, funny, and a father instead of just a “teacher”
The reoccurring theme of Splinter acknowledging April as one of his kids
Despite being the “Thoughtless Jock” stereotype, Raph is very over protective and cares about his siblings well being and also seems to be actually the most level headed one out of all of them
Donnie having very extremely complex emotions that feel realistic compared to everyone else in the show
April always being the stronger, smarter older sister
Foot Recruit (CJ) listening to advice and getting help from both Draxum and Splinter, also making her a part of their family
The turtles longing desperately and deeply for the approval and validation of others so much they’ll do pretty much anything for it (it’s splinters fault mostly but he develops as a character and becomes a more loving and supportive father as the show goes on)
Splinter having Childhood Trauma and no parents from a young age which is why he’s been a not so great dad and has a lot of deep seeded issues he has to face through the series
Everyone acknowledging and respecting peoples comfort zones and boundaries and apologizing when they accidentally fuck up
All of the characters seeming like cliches but being very complicated and interesting despite it being a cartoon. They wrote all the characters to be a bit silly, sure, but when you watch and observe everyone they always subvert your expectations for how they’re going to be and I fucking LOVE IT
I haven’t finished rewatching the 2nd season or movie yet but when I do I’ll probably make another follow up post
one of my favorite HCs is that Mikey has Synesthesia - his family thought it was just him being a lil weirdo until they learned it’s an actual condition
Edit: He can see the colors of sounds, but he’s more excited about the tastes/smells he gets from them instead.

Splinter, Donnie, and Mikey!
So, TMNT X League of Legends is something my mind has been pestering me about for like, a few mins so let's do it
Splinter would have to be from Ionia,,,, The Foot Clan and Hamato Clan I don't think would be as prevalent as they were in in their series, mostly because of the Twilight Order being the main 'clan' in the country. Same old, same old, Yoshi and Saki fall in love with Tang Shen, Saki rebuilds Foot Clan, Tang Shen chooses Yoshi, the fire, yadda yadda yadda.
With all the grief and shit, Yoshi moved to Piltover. Yes, Piltover is now NYC. He goes down into Zaun with his baby turtles, they meet the Kraang, the mutagen thing is a thing, Zaun's severe case of plague rats transforms Yoshi into one,,,,
Now, I'm guessing the turtles would basically be Vastayan now. They end up living in Zaun's sewers,,,,,,, considering everyone in Piltover is Tony Stark at this point, Donnie's tech remains very advanced, and he deffo goes down on the Third Level to go sumpsniping on the regular,,,, seriously this dude with Hextech is a horrifying image,,,,
They go out in the night to protect Piltover, Shredder finds out, and the Foot Clan leaves Ionia to Piltover.
They get found out sometime, and the turtles now essentially have Piltover's Enforcers helping them on the case with the Foot. Vi and Raph regularly arm wrestle and Caitlyn and Leo talk strategy and fancy on the regular.
The Kraang is most likely some sort of Void species, or an extension of it. I have no idea how to implement the space shit, but Renet is defiently a Pulsefire.
Other info falls down into
I don't think Zed or the Shadow Order would work with the Foot clan. Despite Zed basically being very Shredder in their appearance, his goal is to protect Ionia, and considering that the Foot is a crime syndicate, Zed would hate their guts and try to take them down
Akali and Karai meet and become BFFs
They probably met Zac before, considering that he travels through the pipes
Mikey is probably a big fan of Seraphine's concerts,,,,
Everytime they hear about Jinx they collectively groan. That girl probably ruins their day by another 20%,,,
None of them like Singed. They live by #SingedLivesDon'tMatter. Splinter gets flashbacks of Shredder everytime they meet, mostly because of the eye thing,,,,
Also Jhin. They despise Jhin.
Splinter hangs out with Twitch every Wednesday for brunch
Warwick gets asked to join the Foot and his response is attempting to kill them. He kills criminals, he doesn't join them
Knowing Shredder, he probably does something to fuck around with the Spirit Realm, thus getting Shen and the Kinkou Order involved
If Irelia and Leo were too ever meet, they'd talk about the burdens of leadership
Splinter: Okay, children. Let’s start the day with a few math problems. What is 5 x 2? Come on children, don’t be shy. Yes, Casey?
Casey: 12?
Splinter: Okay, now let’s try to get an answer from someone who’s not a complete idiot. Anyone? Come on, don’t be shy.
