Neutinya's HQ OCs - Tumblr Posts

HFKSJDJSJ so I've been hyperfixating on the idea of new generation volleyballers in Haikyuu so I thought why not make some Haikyuu OCs gjjdjd They exist in the same universe as canon!! But are much younger since most of the canon characters have graduated. Have Mitsui and Koji, better known as Mitsu or Ko tbh. Also, funnily I didn't put them in Seijoh even though Seijoh is my fave team because I kinda don't want to draw Seijoh uniforms all the time haha

So basically!! Mitsu is a volleyball prodigy, he's considered to be one of the best spikers in Japan, but he's fucking dumb lol. Outside of volleyball he almost has no brain cells and barely passed his subjects despite his "smart and composed" appearance. Koji on the other hand despite his rough look is actually a top student academically fjjs, he's extremely smart and diligent and even tutors Mitsu for almost everything and is honestly the only reason Mitsu is still making it through the academic year. He's a really good libero and is well respected by his teammates as a reliable player. They've known each other since middle school and are kinda in a weird pining stage? Mitsu likes Koji but is too dumb to realise Koji likes him back romantically rip. Meanwhile Koji wants to rip his hair out because liking this idiot was tiring but he can't stop lol

TLDR: Mitsui is fucking stupid but is a genius at volleyball and Koji fell for his stupid ass the end goodbye

Ahhhh, I always get so nervous when I post my OCs :(( fjjsjsj but!!! Here are more Haikyuu OCs!! This time my Seijoh babies!! If you missed my previous installment, they exist in the same universe as canon!! But are much younger since most of the canon characters have graduated.

So again, just me rambling about them. 

The three of them are third years at Svbc, Shin and Hideki are childhood friends while Tetsuya met them in highschool fjjsje.

Tetsuya is like a quarter Italian??? His dad is half italian, half Japanese. He can speak a bit of Italian but he’s kinda bad at it tbh. He’d good at humanities but bad in science and math.

Hideki is an all-rounder and often tutors Tetsu lol, he was really smart but he lacked motivation, he likes cooking lmao and is really good at it. He likes making food for Tetsu when he came over to his place

Shin is similar to an extent but mostly he’s just lazy. He’s the kinda guy who didn’t have to put in effort to make things work and is often too carefree for his own good. He gets into quite a bit of trouble since he doesn’t express much concern over school rules, he often roles up his sleeves or like, makes a mess out of his uniform.

Tetsu and Hideki have been dating since their second year and Shin is the obnoxious third wheel. He loves teasing the two of them to no end because while they were open about their relationship they still got flustered quite easily. Shin is biromantic but he’s asexual despite his very crude mouth lol

Shin has a twin brother in Shiratorizawa, Shun and a younger sister in Karasuno, Shiro!! Hfjsjs yes that’s all I have for now

TLDR: Shin’s two bros are not being very “no homo” so he rubs it in their face

Some extra info!! 

Shun, the younger twin, is the complete opposite of Shin personality wise, he's very quiet and reserved, being one of the top setters in Japan. He's smart but he has to put in the hard work unlike Shin. 

Hobbies aside from volleyball include reading cause he's a nerd. However he's also quite jittery and doesn't do well under pressure sometimes fhjsjd. For example, if he messed up a set, he'd blame himself

It's at times like these where Shun, like the rest of the team, have Sakurai to help them get back up. Honestly I feel like out of my captain OCs, Sakurai is definitely the best captain. 

He's an unwavering pillar of support that acts like an older brother figure to the entire team. He gives advice, hugs, a listening ear, food, lectures, everything. But the team has developed such a deep respect and admiration for him that no matter what the lecture, they'd take it.

To Sakurai, everyone in the club was his family, he grew up without parents and had to live with his grandmother who was rather sickly. He's also the type who isn't good at expressing emotions or opening up to people. He carries a lot on his shoulders for a 18 year old, and the team knows that.

There were only three times Shun and the team ever saw any visible emotion from the captain. The first when they made it into nationals, the second when everyone got together to hold him a surprise birthday party, and the last when his grandmother passed away and he had still come for training. Each and everyone of them in the team had taken their own time to check on him to make sure he was okay. 

By the end of the day he cried, and everyone was there to give him the hugs he had always given them.

TLDR: you can't not love Sakurai, he puts his team before himself and would do anything for them

There’s not much to say for this team actually, Akira is a degenerate rat boy who constantly causes trouble for the other 3

Chiharu is the tired parent of the team, Nori is the “e-boy” captain and Tenma is one click away from shaving Akira’s head bald

Chiharu acts like an angel who’s trying his best to discipline his problematic son in front of others but when it’s just the team Chiharu will deck Akira’s ass while Tenma and Nori conveniently do something else

Chiharu likes orange juice, Nori has a poker face so no one knows he does tiktok, Tenma likes staring at clouds or sunsets and Akira likes being annoying because he craves attention and validation lol

Nori is right about his parents not giving him enough attention at home which explains why he’s such a headache in club

TLDR: Akira is an annoying bitch, Chiharu has had enough, “e-boy” noriaki and Tenma wants to kill his best friend

Honestly I really love this dynamic jfjsjdj, it’s my fave team dynamic so far actually hhhhh

So!! Meet new gen dateko that has evolved to be more than just and “ironwall” but also a “spear”. Tomura is a very strong spiker, on par with Mitsui actually!! And also!! They are notorious for their very tiny setter and very big libero!! Minori is one of the best setters in the prefecture despite his tiny size, he can also really jump!!

Minori has heterochromia, his right eye is grey and his left is brown. He was bullied a lot for it throughout his childhood. The scar on his right eye was actually from getting shoved around so much he cut it against the sidewalk ;;

People always make fun of his height and Tomura and Sho will not tolerate any of that shit. Minori was the very “oblivious, patient, innocent and kind” kinda person. He forgives people very easily and rarely got mad.

Sho is extremely quiet but he has a terrifying stare fjsjjs, he just doesn’t like talking and is sleeping most of the time. He’s half British!! His mom is British and his dad Japanese!! His English name is Salem

Tomura is like, loud and very headstrong but he was calm around Minori and sho. He likes raisins and will dump a container of it down his mouth like it was nothing

Also, because Minori is very physically affectionate, he always pats the team’s head if they played well etc. Sho and Tomura will bend down and let Minori pat their heads because they really liked it ahhhhh. Sometimes if they win a game, the team would all kinda just, line up, and let Minori pat and ruffle their hair fjskfjjd

Also it’s very common to see either sho or tomura spooning Minori because they did all the time when Minori was down. According to them it made Minori feel safe hdjsj

TLDR: Dateko’s third years are basically the defence squad for their tiny setter and captain

Shigeo: 192.2cm & 88.5kg [Setter & Vice-captain]

Kaito: 176.8cm & 69.3kg [Spiker & Captain]

Shigeo is a second year!! He's known Kaito since middle school as Kaito had always been a senior he looked up to in the volleyball team??

Honestly I know they kinda have a similar dynamic to bokuaka but hear me out;; Shigeo is actually very loud!! He gets excited when he does a good set or a good feint!! When he does he always kinda just instinctively waddles over to Kaito to seek validation 😔😔

Kaito acknowledges his hard work by patting him on the head and stuff because he admitted it was kinda cute haha

Kaito doesn't admit it but Shigeo was technically his favourite Kouhai since the younger really admired him for some reason. Shigeo is always kinda following Kaito around like a puppy during a practice and everyone else on the team is just 😑😑

But more on Kaito, he doesn't really know how to verbalise his thoughts well but he's a good captain nonetheless, he gets pretty tilted when he doesn't get his spikes but most of the time he's pretty laid-back despite his somewhat snappy appearance

Shigeo's favourite food is anything with mushrooms and Kaito likes anything spicy. (Shigeo cannot take spicy food at all.)

Shigeo gets jealous a little when Kaito give other people more attention 🤡 but because he's vice-captain he has to act like he isn't although he has a very obvious pout lol

TLDR: Shigeo follows Kaito around like a puppy
