NEW ZELDA GAME THIS IS NOT A DRILL
until proven otherwise I am assuming Echoes of Wisdom as downfall timeline because of the use of the Link's Awakening Switch style send tweet.
okay here's my "never going to happen" nintendo direct wildcard prediction: new 2d zelda - but with playable zelda.
it's a soft launch of the idea by putting it in a 2d game. 2d zeldas are not the massive console seller juggernauts as 3d zeldas, so its a safer "test" AND more realistic to put at the end of the switch's life cycle.
the game itself would be somewhat lighthearted, but not condescendingly simple like the peach game. it has a similar artstyle/feel as the links awakening remake. there's a bigger focus on puzzles than fighting.
How are we doing today spirit tracks fans
I really hope they include a cutscene or two in Echoes of Wisdom that are animated like the intro (and outro) to Link's Awakening Switch.

The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
I knew the princess of Legend was just as impressive as her hero but now she gets her own little game! And I love that they're giving Zelda a completely different gameplay experience than Link.
I love seeing the different characters and monsters in this art style. Did you see that little Lizalfos!?! Did you see the 2 Zora designs! Everything looks so cute!!!
That little fairy Tri is obviously referencing the Triforce in some way but I find the Green tint on it suspicious… (never overlook the companion characters in Zelda)
ABOUT DANG TIME!!!! Wish she got to attack enemies more directly tho... Let her stab...
