OC Interview Tag

Thank you so much for the tag, @mk-writes-stuff!!!

Rules: answer the questions as an OC

I'll go with Maryon from my WIP Of Starlight and Beasts for this one!

Are you named after anyone?

"I'm not exactly sure, if I'm being honest. I vaguely remember reading something about someone named 'Maryan' being a popular character in a beloved folk tale in the kingdom where I was born, so I think that could be where I got my name from. It's not like I can ask my biological family that, though. They've been dead since forever - maybe if the roads weren't so godsdamned riddled with bandits that wouldn't be so. But noo, the King of Tirawen has 'more pressing' matters, or so I've been told. Well he can shove those 'pressing matters' up his royal arse, nothing will ever be an excuse to neglect his citizens' needs - ! But I digress, do move on."

When was the last time you cried?

"Oh, that's a rather interesting question! I don't quite remember, if I'm being honest. It's not like I'm bottling up my feelings or anything like that - far from it. I just that I haven't had a reason to cry in a while. Things have been going pretty great. Despite the, you know, looming war that's on the brink of changing the continent forever and all."

Do you have kids?

"Goodness, no, there's far too many things I want to pursue before even thinking about having children. It's an endearing thought, sure, but certaintly not enough to be one of my top priorities within the next ten years or so."

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"Only when I'm severely annoyed. I think that, while irony and sarcasm can surely add an interesting layer to any communication, there are more effective ways of making your words sting. Like speaking them while pointing a poison dagger to one's throat, for example! Just kidding. Or am I? (winks) We'll never know. But in all seriousness, I prefer keeping those kinds of confrontations to a minimum - being polite and kind often solves more disputes than rage, and those are words I try to live by."

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

"I'm quite perceptive - being the adoptive daughter of the most powerful spymaster in all of the Frosts has definetly given me an edge when it comes to reading people and deciphering their true intentions without even needing much effort on my part. People usually do all the hard work themelves - their choice of words and body language reads like an open book to me after just a simple conversation. So there's quite a lot I can notice about someone after first meeting them - but their intentions, feelings and morality are definetly the main ones."

What’s your eye colour?

"Dark forest green. Or so I'm told - Eidan, my boyfriend, can be quite the romantic. Either way, I rather like that color and I find his description of it to be very sweet!"

Scary movies or happy endings?

"I adore reading any kind of book, the more intriguing the story is the merrier! I usually don't have a strong preference as long as the tale is gripping enough to keep my attention focused after the first ten pages of the book and especially if there are deeper meanings to be found beyond just pretty words. If I had to choose, I would say a balanced mix of scariness and happiness in a story is ideal, though I do lean more towards the scary!"

Any special talents?

"Oh, many! I've been trained in the arts of espionage, dyplomacy and politics from a young age, and I've also learned quite a lot of fighting techniques, poison recipes, and languages! I'm also an expert knife thrower, and know how to survive in the wild. I know how to manipulate an enemy to fall into a trap I've laid out for them, just as I know how to persuade a potential ally to help with our cause, with just my words as my tools. Currently, I'm still working on learning how to cook without causing a potential fire in the castles, but I'm getting better at baking!!!"

Where were you born?

"I was born in one of the many provinces along the outskirst of the capital kingdom of Tirawen. My birth parents - from what vague childhood memories I can still remember - were very successful merchants. However, one of their many trips out of the kingdom's main road would prove to be our last - bandits, you see, as I mentioned before. A very tricky sort. I don't remember much of what transpired, if I'm being quite honest. What I can remember is being lost in the woods of the Frost for a while before being saved by the man who would go on to become my adoptive father, a spymaster otherwise known as the 'Serpent of the Frosts'. He took me, then a lost child of around five years of age, under his wing as his own child, and gave me a chance at the life I have today."

Do you have any pets?

"I have a 10 year old cat whom I named Sir Thurston who seems to love randomly appearing and disappearing at random places around the castles at will. I've also got twin pet snakes named Knack and Snap, one purple and the other white. And though they're highly venomous (and capable of breathing out ice shards like a dragon does fire) they've only ever bitten my enemies. They're also real cuddle buddies and very sweet if you give them something tasty to eat!"

What sort of sports do you play?

"Well, if these count as sport where you come from: swordfighting, archery, knife throwing, martial arts, tavern brawling (on occasion, but don't tell Father, haha), climbing random stuff so I can get to high places. If you count chess as a sport of sorts - though it is more of a competive, strategic tabletop game - I'm rather good at it!"

How tall are you?

"Shorter than most of my friends, or so it seems. Eidan especially. But no matter. Being smaller has its advantages too - it makes sneaking around easier and makes spooking my friends by randomly appearing behind them that much fun!"

What was your favourite subject in school?

"I had private tutors, other than my own adoptive father himself, so not exactly a school in the traditional sense of the word, but my favorite 'subjects' were politics, foreign ancient languages and botany (especially when it comes to rare plants and their effects). I also really like poetry, especially the ones from the fallen kingdom of Idraven - its very interesting to see how that society saw the world, though their demise never fails to bring me a strong sense of sorrow whenever I think about it for too long."

What is your dream job?

"Becoming a spymaster, like my adoptive father. Not only have I been trained for this since I was a child, but I also really look forward to being able to serve the land which took me in when I had nothing else in the world. Being a spymaster is a high honor in the Frosts, and nothing could fill me with more pride than being deemed worthy of serving our Queens and protecting the realm from behind the scenes."

OC Interview Tag!

Thanks for the tag, @mk-writes-stuff (here)!

I'll go with Corah (the main character of "Of Starlight and Beasts") because I don't think I've done this tag for her before!

Are you named after anyone?

"No, not really."

When was the last time you cried?

"I don't really cry all that often - at least not in front of people. At least I try not to. When I'm sad or something truly upsets me I just kinda, shut down and run off to try to find somewhere I can truly be alone. Then I cry. The last time I truly cried was when our kingdom was attacked by those horrid monsters a few months ago. It was chaos and I can't help but feel I could've done something to prevent it, even though that's a foolish notion."

Do you have kids?

"No, of course not, I'm too young for that, I'm only nineteen! I'm almost still a kid myself. And I've got a whole world to see, a lot of adventures to have, wrongs to make right and monsters to fight before I can start thinking about that. If I ever have children, I'll try to be like my Dad was for me - present and caring, as a parent should - not like my mother who left when I was little and never once looked back. Sometimes, because of her, I worry that - if I eventually have any children - I might not be a perfect mother, if I ever become one."

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"Only sometimes! It depends strongly on my mood and whom I'm talking to. If I'm happy, I might use sarcasm to make some light hearted jokes, if someone is doing something annoying on purpose I'll use sarcasm as a rebuttal, and so on and so forth. I try to be very careful not to hurt other people's feelings, because it doesn't hurt to try and be as polite as possible to everyone you meet - its common courtesy and even a simple smile and kind words might make someone's day much better, because you never know what they're going through. But on a less serious note, I tend to use sarcasm a lot with my friends - mostly because I trust them and also because they're incredibly sarcastic as well so they're able to match my energy very well!"

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

"I try to understand a bit more about their intentions and morality, if they're trying to help people or if they're using power to cause harm to others. I can get a general vibe of whether someone is good or bad from a first impression - but I tend to give anyone the benefit of the doubt until I'm proven wrong. I also notice try to notice the little details that might give me some more insight into that person's personality and daily life. Sometimes the details speak the loudest, because everyone is so unique and different in their own personal way."

What’s your eye colour?

"Dark brown!"

Scary movies or happy endings?

"I personally like both! When I was a little girl I used to adore the kinds of tales that had very intriguing and scary events that the protagonist had to face throughout the story - the more epic and high stakes the obstacles the better - as long as the hero triumphed in the end. And to this day, though my taste in books has certainly matured that preference hasn't changed. I think that, when you grow up in a kingdom that is constantly beset by monsters and horrors born of dark magic, you learn that fear is a natural part of life, and you learn how to deal with it in a way that doesn't let it consume you - you learn to grow from it, and to use that fear in order to create a better future. My Dad comes from a long line of monster hunters, so I was naturally raised with a lot of tales about eldrich creatures from far off lands and the knights who defeated them."

Any special talents?

"I am a knight-in-training, and I take my training duties very seriously. Because of this I can say I'm pretty talented when it comes to fighting, especially with the use of swords, spears and daggers. I'm also good at archery and I've learned how to fight wearing plate armor (the weight of that amount of metal takes a while to get used to, but once you do it becomes pretty much second nature). Though I take pride in those talents I've nurtured, I still have a lot to learn - hubris can lead to fatal mistakes in a fight. I also like sewing and making simple jewelry out of daily items, and I think I can dance well enough to not make a fool of myself in front of everyone in a masquerade. At least I hope so!"

Where were you born?

"I was born in the capital city of Tirawen, and have lived there ever since. It's a beautiful city, with good people and an incredibly vast set of cultures, but its also a very complicated place - the nobility is trapped in a constant 'dance' of which House has the most power and influence, and as such, gossip and intrigues are a harsh reality one has to deal with when around the city's elite. The kingdom also is constantly beset by monsters, though due to the capital being in the heart of the kingdom, it is usually safer than the provinces, despite the kingdom's magic barrier shielding most of the land. Also, fun fact that some people don't know: due to our kingdom being constantly in contact with that same magic, people from Tirawen often have longer lifespans - up to 200 years old if they live really close to the heart of the kingdom where magic is the strongest! I just find that pretty neat!"

Do you have any pets?

"We have an old dog named Miss Hilde who is the sweetest little thing - despite her being the biggest dog I've really ever seen. She's incredibly playful, but don't let those big, seemingly thoughtless eyes fool you - she's a sneaky and sassy pup who likes making a mess at every chance she gets, because she knows she'll get away with it. Or at least that's what I think my dog thinks, haha."

What sort of sports do you play?

"Does jousting, horseback riding, swordfighting and other knightly duties - like archery, duelling, etc - count? I hope it does, because that's pretty much a lot of what being a knight entails - at least I'm constantly exercising, so hopefully I'll be a healthy and buff old lady when I eventually grow old, haha."

How tall are you?

"I've always been pretty tall for my age, which has definetly come with its own sets of advantages and disadvantages."

What was your favourite subject in school?

"Hmm. In my time at the academies I used to really like subjects such as 'History of the Ancient Realms', 'Handling Magic', 'the General Sciences of Alchemy' and every single class that had something to do with improving my abilities as a knight!"

What is your dream job?

"I think I've probably already talked your ear off about wanting to be a knight, by now, so I think we've got the answer right there, haha. I cannot wait to pass my Trials and be fully knighted as a soldier of the realm - then I'll be able to serve my country and protect the people from the monsters that lurk in the night, as well as bring honor back to our family name... Which is a very complicated subject for another time."

OC Interview Tag!

Thanks for tagging me, @talesofsorrowandofruin (here)!

I'll do two interviews this time, one for Tarrant Kyresell from Song of Thorns and one for Jack Tithus from Supernova Initiative!

(SONG OF THORNS)

Are you named after anyone?

(Tarrant shrugs) "Eh. Not really, I think. At least not that I know of. My... so-called 'family' was never so considerate as to put any thought into stuff like that, they don't really care all that much."

When was the last time you cried?

"Last night, into my pillow when everyone else was asleep, it's almost a routine for me now. Don't judge me - if you worked for my employer you would do the same. No, I'm not going to talk about why I cried. Mind moving on to less personal matters, now?"

Do you have kids?

"I know how to take care of children, how to babysit and whatnot - and my cousins sure do act like little kids when they want to, even though they're both grown up. But no, I don't want to bring any children into the world I live in - it's far too dangerous for various reasons."

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"Not really, only amongst people I trust. Misunderstandings can prove deadly and I really can't afford to have my superiors accusing me of insubordination or of 'talking back' over some sarcastic remark or something. It just really isn't worth the time and patience."

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

"Noticing what people want in an interaction is the most important thing one can do. Once I know what people want from me - and trust me, everyone wants something - I can work my way around it safely and avoid uncomfortable situations. That I know what to expect and won't be caught off guard. It pays off after a while, and kinda became second nature to me."

What’s your eye color?

"I've got hazel eyes, though they're slightly more of a golden amber from what I've heard, due to alchemical sorcery potions I drink."

Scary movies or happy endings?

"Life in the kingdom I live in is a scary story, there's no way around it. Ghouls, undead, the plague, dangerous people who want to use you, it's always there one way or another - I'd rather not have to face fear within fiction too. Happy endings are rare and few in between in real life, which makes me find them slightly unrealistic in tales. Either way, I don't have much time to spend reading - another luxury I've lost a long time ago - but personally I do prefer philosophy books and poetry."

Any special talents?

"It depends. What do you consider special talents? I can sing, dance, clean stuff, and I know how to use my words and guile to get people to accept my employer's contracts and deals. It's my job. I also know many ways to kill, even though I don't like to - in the place I live, you kinda have to if you want to survive for long. I know how to look pretty and say things people want to hear. I'm a 'Silver Snake' - a manipulator of underworld politics and fake diplomat for my employer. It's what I do. As for talents I personally consider special, I have taught myself many different languages - which I can now speak fluently - and I also know how to make some interesting potions."

Where were you born?

"A freezing piece of nowhere called Grymhaw, close to the single most dangerous and disputed roadway in the realm, the Reaper's Way. Lovely place - if you don't mind everything else about it. "

Do you have any pets?

"Not really yet, but, and I fear this may seem childish of me, I really, really want to adopt a cat one day! A fluffy one, with those adorable big eyes and which does little 'biscuits' with its paws on a pillow. They're just the best."

What sports do you play?

"I don't really have time for any specific sports, per se, at least not as a hobby. If you count carrying stuff around for my employer, fighting people I'm hired to defeat (with a dagger or rapier, I'm not that good of an archer though), dancing, etc, I'd say I'm quite fit and athletic."

How tall are you?

"5.9 ft tall, around 179-180 centimeters."

What was your favorite subject in school?

"Commoners don't attend academia in Grymhaw. I am a commoner, spent most of my childhood trying to survive, and then was trained to become a Silver Snake after that godsdamned contract was signed. As I mentioned before though, I have a special interest when it comes to languages and I do know quite a lot about Botany, Philosophy, Politics, etc."

What is your dream job?

"Haha, now that's a new joke. I never even was given that choice - my soul was magically sold and I had to become a servant and a spy. Being a stupid warlord's little plaything wasn't exactly in my plans, but here I am. I wanted to be an alchemist."

(SUPERNOVA INITIATIVE)

Are you named after anyone?

"Hint: my full name comes from a gemstone or a flower. For personal reasons, I don't like my full name - so I just go by my nickname, Jack, which is a shorter version of my actual name, just that. Not really named after any specific person though."

When was the last time you cried?

"Don't really remember, if I'm being honest. I'm a pretty happy person - I've got an amazing little sister, great friends, my spaceship. I'd say I'm pretty damn lucky. I think I did cry recently while being experimented on by the Director though - I was scared and in a lot of pain - but thankfully no one but me needs to know that."

Do you have kids?

"No, not really. I'm an intergalactic thief and my on-the-run lifestyle, while fun and exciting, isn't exactly suited for small children. If one day I meet the right person and settle down, which is highly unlikely, I would like to have children - I think I'd be a good dad."

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"Yes. I'm pretty witty and I love making sarcastic remarks - I'm not rude to people who don't deserve it and am usually very polite, but sarcasm is like second nature to me. It's fun, gets the message across, and annoys the hell out of my uptight enemies. Overall, it's a win-win situation for me. Plus, I'm an older brother - I think sarcasm is pretty much one of the requirements, haha, especially when you got a chaotic little sister like mine."

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

"It depends. If I'm meeting someone in a regular social situation, I usually notice how they carry themselves, if their looks seem to reflect something of their personality, if they seem like a nice person to be around or a douchebag, that sort of thing. If I'm in a dangerous situation however, I try to notice if the person is armed or poses a threat - if so, I then try to figure out how I can keep my team safe from that person and do anything I can to minimize the danger."

What’s your eye color?

"Dark brown, just like Cassie's."

Scary movies or happy endings?

"Oh, that's a nice question! I like both. Personally, I don't really like those extremely gory or disturbing horror movies, but I do like those cheesy teen horror flicks with a bit of comedy. Sometimes me and my sister try to find the worst possible low-budget horror movie and just watch it to laugh at the bad SFX and corny stories. As for happy endings, it's always good to watch a movie where everything works out in the end and gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling."

Any special talents?

"I'm a great pilot - I can maneuver my spaceship through an asteroid field or while being chased through a bunch of skyscrapers on a space station without much struggle. I'm also good at sharpshooting when I have the time to prepare and focus - though I'm admittedly not as good as Deimos or Vesper when it comes to striking moving targets, and I prefer not to hurt anyone, so most of my guns are set to just stun. I'm a good liar, I can make deals with anyone and I can get in and out of a high-security building with a priceless artifact without anyone noticing I was even there. So, haha, quite a few talents."

Where were you born?

"I was born in one of the three moons that orbit the planet of Ivion. It's a mining settlement, dusty, grimy, crime-ridden - forgotten by those highbrow Junction officers except in matters of exploiting everything the moon had to offer until there was nothing left. Basically, that place is just a big, bureaucratic space junkyard that sucks the soul out of you if you let it. I was never a big fan and don't want to go back any time soon."

Do you have any pets?

"Actual pets no, because they usually don't do that well in constant space travel and I would never want an animal to feel uncomfortable. But we do have a robot my sister built that helps around the ship - I believe Cassie named it Clank or something. The robot kinda acts like a big puppy and we love him."

What sports do you play?

"I do some workouts every morning - I need to be in top shape to continue making a fool of the Junction, plus I rather like exercising as a hobby, it's fun. I also stretch whenever I can, and I like doing some target practicing with my guns just to keep the skill sharp. I'm also good at running - which kinda comes with the territory of being a thief - and am good at streetfighting."

How tall are you?

"Eh, not sure. The Director's laboratory charts say I'm 173 cm, so around 5.7ft, I think? I haven't personally measured my height in a while."

What was your favorite subject in school?

"When I attended school I never really cared about it, to be honest. I was too busy being a rebellious little kid, and then our lives were thrown upside down, so I had to take care of my little sister, and ended up becoming an intergalactic thief, so not have much time to have a favorite subject. I do like astronomy and general science, like chemistry, though I never really was very good at maths - Cassie's the one who knows all the complicated equations and can build a robot from scratch. I'm really proud of her."

What is your dream job

"I'm pretty happy as I am now! I get to spite our corrupt government, take from the snobs, and help those down below. I get to see all those new planets and cool galaxies and have all these adventures alongside my team. I wish we didn't have to break the law though, and that we had a different life - but since that isn't really an option, we might as well enjoy the life we have!"

OC Interview Tag

Thanks for the tag, @willtheweaver (here)!

I'll go with Renn Atrius from Song of Thorns.

Were you named after anyone?

"I'm not sure. My parents weren't that close to their respective relatives, due to a myriad of reasons - the main one being that my maternal grandparents are vampire hunters, and my father was a vampire. You can imagine how uncomfortable the family meetings were. Dad said my name means 'honesty, love or benevolence' - I think it's a pretty great name."

When was the last time you cried?

"Hmm. I'm not sure to be honest. It was probably a while ago - I occasionally have nightmares about... well an incident, in my past. Those dreams do make me cry most times, but they have been few and far between lately, which is good."

Do you have any kids?

"None. I'm pretty young still for a dhampir - my current age is equivalent to 18 in human years, so I'm basically still a kid myself - and regardless, I've been too busy not being hunted by the people who want me dead and trying to rebel against the King to even consider something like that. I probably won't for a long time."

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

"Yes, all the time! Especially when I'm trying to annoy that fancypants asshat of a prince I have to travel with. That is priceless."

What is the first thing you notice about people?

"Let's see (starts listing the following with his fingers): if they're a Hunter, if they work for my psychopath of a grandfather, if they're another stupid villager ready to call a mob with torches and pitchforks to go after yours truly, and so on and so forth... There's a lot to consider when you're in my shoes. Other than that, I guess I try to notice their demeanor, a bit of their personality, and whether or not I'd like to waste my time talking to them."

What is your eye color?

"Light greyish brown, like my mother's. When I use my vampiric powers, my eyes glow a bright red, like blood but glowing like two little lanterns."

Scary movies or happy endings?

"Happy endings. I don't like the feeling of fear that much and the world is already horrifying enough for me to subject myself to more scares while reading fiction. Ha, if I wanted to endure something scary, I'd just have to tell a random villager I'm half-vampire or go out into the cursed woods alone. Happy endings are honestly my favorite thing about some books - they show us that no matter how bleak things may seem, there can be a brighter future ahead."

Any special talents?

"It depends. I'm a great swordfighter, have perfect aim with my bow and arrow, and am very agile - after my family was betrayed I survived mostly as a thief stealing from corrupt humans, so I had to learn how to climb things and be silent, which are also talents I consider special. Oh, and I can turn into either a giant bat or a really tiny one - transforming into a giant bat is easier and lasts for a longer period of time! My Dad taught me how to."

Where were you born?

"I was born in my family's manor in the vampiric lands, where I lived with my Dad until he was killed by a Hunter when I was around five years old, during a diplomatic visit to my human grandfather's lands."

Do you have any pets?

"Yes, I have a pet raven called Cornelius. I call him Corn for short! He's a little crazy bastard of a bird and I love his chaotic energy, haha."

What sort of sports do you play?

"I'm pretty active. I'm constantly running, climbing things, and fighting people who try to hurt me, so I guess that counts, plus I often fly around in my bat form, which is a great exercise for the arms (as they're my wings when I'm in my bat form). I also practice archery and sword fighting quite frequently!"

How tall are you?

"I'm honestly not sure. Probably 5.9ft. So around 179 centimeters? I think. I haven't had time to really measure my height if I'm being honest, haha."

What was your favorite subject in school?

"I was born a noble, so I would have had private tutors teach me instead of going to a traditional school like humans do - fey don't really do institutions like that, and learning from tutors and parents is the custom in vampiric and fey lands. But my Dad died when I was five - so I was orphaned and had to learn to survive on the run since the Hunters also wanted to kill me. I didn't really have that chance. Before that, it was my father who taught me how to read, write, and draw. He also used to teach me a lot about vampiric history and botany. When we visited my mother in the human lands she taught me a bit about sewing."

What is your dream job?

"I'm not sure. I would love to be an adventurer and help people whom the kingdom has forsaken, but I'm not sure if that counts as a job traditionally. If I manage to aid others during my lifetime in any way and make the world a better place than it was before, even if just a little bit, then that's enough for me."

OC Interview Tag 2

Thanks for the tag, @pandoras-comment-box! I'll be using Luna from Traveling Bards.

What are you most protective of?

Luna: "Dinner."

Can you be trusted with a pet? A house plant?

Luna: "Both, I'd say!"

Iris (from another room): "No the fuck you can't!"

Luna: "What?! Yes I can! I had loads of plants in our old world! The only reason I didn't have a pet was 'cause my apartment had a crazy high pet fee!"

Iris: "Yeah, but all your plants were dead! Mom had to take them from you because you kept forgetting to water them!"

Luna: "Shut up! I was just busy! My work hours sucked!"

Iris (now in the doorway): "Luna can't be trusted with anything that can't audibly communicate. Or punch her in the face."

Luna: *offended gasp*

Do you like sports? Which ones?

Luna: "Sports are alright, but I mean, I've never really been an athlete? I guess martial arts, if that counts. I also working out. Especially now that there's literal magic benefits involved!"

I hope I did this right!

Questions for you:

If you were to wake up in another universe, what's the one thing you would take with you?

What kind of person pisses you off the most?

How often do you dream? Are they usually dream-dreams, or nightmares?

OC Questionnaire Tag!

Thanks for the tag, @anyablackwood (here)!

I'll go with Deimos Soll from Supernova Initiative, Lady Vivaldah Lariach from The Forgotten Ones, and Kane Mylestrom from Song of Thorns!

Your OC Questions:

What is a thing that would break your trust in a person immediately?

What is your favorite animal? Have you ever had a pet/or want one?

Who do you look up to the most?

If you were to wake up in another universe, what is the one thing you would take with you?

Deimos: "My sniper rifle, or food. One of those two options, it depends on what hypothetical 'universe' I happen to wake up in."

Vivaldah: "My sister's necklace, which is also the sigil of our House. It's one of my most prized possessions."

Kane: "I wouldn't call my dragon a 'thing', because she is a sentient and mighty being who deserves all the respect, but yes, I would take my dragon with me."

2. What kind of person pisses you off the most?

Deimos: "People who think they can do anything to others just because they have the power to - snobbish tyrants who think it's their birthright to screw others over. Also, people who objectify others or who think torture is 'okay' just because they think it's justified for a 'greater cause' are a kind person that makes my blood boil immensely."

Vivaldah - "Those who justify cruelty in the name of their 'Gods', and who think they can kill anyone whom they consider 'heretics' just for thinking differently than them. I also hate people who are rude and who like to make fun of others."

Kane - "Cowards and people who turn tail and run at the first sign of trouble, along with liars, manipulators and people who have no moral compass. I also despite royals who consider their subordinates as pawns to be manipulated and discarded once we're no longer of 'use.'"

3. How often do you dream? Are they usually dream-dreams, or nightmares?

Deimos: "Well let's see: I was kidnapped from my homeworld by slavers when I was sixteen, escaped, and grew up as a street urchin - with the duo who became my adoptive siblings - on one of the most crime-ridden moons of our galaxy, and then, as an adult, was captured by an insane warlord who tried to torture me into being her living puppet weapon. So... you can imagine the kind of 'dreams' I have are far from pleasant most nights."

Vivaldah: "I used to have the sweetest dreams in the past. When I was just me being a princess who lived in a rosy-tinted world, sheltered in my family's ancestral palace. Then the Iron Inquisition came. Now my sleep is haunted by the memories of the day my family was slaughtered by them."

Kane: "Eh. I'm not the kind that usually has a lot of dreams, and when I do they're usually the most nonsensical, stupid mess that makes me question my life and sanity, and then wake up and not remember anything about that dream in the morning. So. My dreams aren't bad, they're just weird and I rarely remember most of them."

OC Interview. [Antonio Chandrani-Rivera at 20 years age.]

Are you named after anyone?

... It's already well-known who I was named after.

When was the last time you cried?

What kind of question is this? This wasn't in our write-up. Why would I tell an interviewer when I last cried?

Do you have kids?

I know that when I was 15 I'd go on about how much I wanted a family. Truth is, I might still, but... I used to have such assumptions about the future. At this age, I wouldn't mind adopting children.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

:)

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

What else? Their feelings toward me I know too well. Everyone knows I'm disliked, it's true, but what's unbearable for me is...a certain kind of worry.

What is your eye colour?

Everyone knows I'm red-eyed. Our hearts bleed and infect everybody. ...Oh, you meant what was? Yes, yes, my eyes were a gorgeous dark brown, once. Swear I've brought up a million times by now. Ugh. Upset with you? Yes, I am, actually. >:(

Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings especially for romances are cute and all, but isn't it nice when someone you like grabs your arm because they're scared? >:)

Any special talents?

Cloud-surfing. Literal clouds, I mean. Not as good as Raj and his piano skills, I know. ...What? Aren't you well-warded? What's with that stress point between your eyebrows? You know, I did like bothering Alejandro and seeing if anything around him would catch fire only two or so years ago. Isn't that a special talent, knowing how to turn the Protector's temperature up? I suppose everyone knows I can dance, too, when I think about it.

Where were you born?

What? You can look that up on a wiki. What's with some of these questions? Are you troubled I know Alejandro's temperatures?

Do you have any pets?

Now I miss Sally...my baby. 🥺

What sort of sports do you play?

In the past, Alejandro kept dragging me to so many of his games and kept pulling me into playing them, too... Oh, you winced. I knew you would. Anyway, I'll never lose at the oceanic arts, but I sometimes miss those days I'd have to manage crazy goals and all those annoying hoops.

How tall are you?

Oh, I stopped keeping track after 18. I wound up a bit shorter than Alejandro and Diego in the end--stop wincing so much. I think I'm around 186 centimeters. Isn't Alejandro 188 centimeters? I'm only 20 though... Maybe I'll still catch up to or surpass them.

What was your favorite subject in school?

Astronomy. History, too... Sometimes I miss running around and looking for artifacts the way I used to.

What is your dream job?

I know the fame of several Chandrani family members persists, but... I don't find it terrible to do our family's calling, you know. Many of us have been, of course, most obviously alchemists, but translators, rune decoders, teachers, computer scientists, historians, archeologists, and the like. I'm pretty content with the ocean depths and all my books. ...No, I'm not lying. Who even are you? When I think about it, when was the last time anyone would interview m--

When was the last time you cried?

...

When was the last time you cried?

What...?

When was the last time you cried?

I won't... am I dreaming?

When?

You... You. You'll pay for messing with me again, djinn.

---

The last 3 repeat questions aren't part of the typical interview; just messed around with the end of it! Thank you @ceph-the-ghost-writer for the tag!
