Pokeprompts! (Random Pokemon Prompts)
Some random ideas for Pokemon fans. Please credit and share a link. I’d love to read your fics!
Crossover Ideas:
-Your favorite character from another fandom winds up in the Pokemon World, either as a Pokemon or trainer. (Bonus idea: If they are a Pokemon, their worst enemy is a trainer trying to catch them!)
-Ash Winds up in Narnia. Pikachu can talk now, and Ash doesn’t like everything he has to say.
-Animorphs, but the kids turn into Pokemon.
-A trainer finds a never-before-seen Pokemon. The catch? It’s an SCP.
Other Ideas:
-Coffee Shop AU (inspired by Pokemon Cafe Mix)
-Write about a Pokemon who doesn’t want to be caught
-Write about humans and Pokemon who partner in other ways besides battles, such as a seeing-eye Pokemon or a police/rescue Pokemon.
Big List of General Tullius & Ulfric Stormcloak Fic Ideas
AKA I’m a Skyrim fangirl with more ideas than time.

-US Civil War AU. You pick who winds up on which side. (Although, let’s be real; with Ulfric’s views on anyone who isn’t a Nord, could he be anything but a Confederate?)
-Rival Pokémon Trainers. Kids or adults, doesn’t matter. This would be loads of fun either way.
-Hunger Games Contestants. They could either be from Panem, or you could have the Thalmor host something similar after their takeover. You’d definitely have to tweak the timeline for the latter, but it could work. Note: I’ve been toying around with this one, but simply don’t have time to write it. If you’d like to try this scenario but are struggling to find inspiration, hit me up. I’d be glad to brainstorm and/or beta read for you.
-Rival Restaurant Owner AU. Kind of inspired by an SCP I read recently (SCP-4201, Pizzas of Mass Destruction) and Hell’s Kitchen. I could see this one having strong anime vibes.
-High School AU. Rival quarterbacks, rival students, you know, the usual high school stuff. I’m not normally into this genre, but Skyrim makes everything better.
-Canon Divergence: Ulfric and Tullius Were Both Captured During the Great War. How would this have changed things? This could easily become a prison break/escape scenario if you wanted to go that route.
-Star Fleet Captains. I’d love to see how these two would run a star ship. Who would be the better captain? Do they remain rivals, or do they have a kind of working relationship? Or do they actually become friends?

-A trainer feels sorry for their Psyduck and gives it migraine medication, with unexpected results.
-Arceus goes through an identity crisis. (Okay, this could be a crack fic, or you could get super philosophical with this one. Either way works.)
-Team Rocket’s Meowth sets out to start a new career in radio. Unfortunately, between his annoying voice and sketchy resume, he has trouble landing a job. Will anyone take a chance on him? And is this career change really his idea, or just another of Team Rocket’s crazy schemes?
-Ash’s Pikachu lives a double life as a bookie. (Don’t ask. I have no idea where this one came from.)
-Ash discovers a cave complex housing a cult of Pokémon who worship humans. They’ve kidnapped Jessie and James as their new chosen ones and won’t let them leave.
Unusual Pokémon Fic Ideas

-A private detective and their Pokémon must track down and stop a local serial killer.
-A young person wants to become a Pokémon trainer, but not for the reasons you’d think. They want to train Pokémon to act in movies, not to fight in tournaments.
-A burned-out chef goes on a culinary journey, discovering new dishes and catching new Pokémon along the way. (This would be a great opportunity to explore the more practical and controversial agricultural roles Pokémon fulfill.)
-A park ranger receives reports of an aggressive Pokémon attacking campers. They and their Pokémon partner investigate and find out it’s part of a larger pattern.
