What is Boom Boom and Pom Pom's relationship? How did they first meet each other? Do they hang out a lot like in the games, or are they more seperate here?

They're childhood friends, though have more of a sibling friendship (you know like how friend is like the sibling you never had). They get partnered up alot to fight mario, and make a AWSOME duo!
