(Another AU from me! I kept thinking about this one)

This takes place during Volume 1
Bio: While heading back to Beacon from a comic book store, Jaune hears crying and whimpering from an alley. Curious, Jaune went to the alley and discovered a box full of Golden Retriever puppies! Ten to be exact. (7 boys and 3 girls)
The puppies were dirty, crying and whimpering, and hungry. Feeling bad for the little guys, he takes them back to Beacon and takes care of them.
His friends were surprised to see the puppies but quickly loved them, except for Blake for obvious reasons. Ozpin allowed Jaune to keep them, mainly for future advertising, sneaky bastard.
Pot of Gold AU: Surprises come in small packages

Jaune was walking down the streets of Vale, he recently purchased a new release of X-Ray and Vav! He was currently headed back to Beacon to read his new book, when he heard...whimpering and crying?
He looked at an alley way where he heard the noise. Cautiously, he approached, curious to know what made that noise.
He found a box with holes in it, it rustled and moved quite a bit. The noise felt very familiar...kinda like Zwei when he gets denied of treats...
His eyes widen at the realization, he immediately crouched down and removed the top, he was greeted by the sight of puppies! Ten of them! All of them were dirty, crying and hungry. He guessed that they were around four weeks old. When the pups finally noticed him they all start crying out to him.
Jaune’s heart ached seeing the little guys so miserable and vulnerable.
Jaune: Shhh, shhh, it’s okay, I won’t hurt you. It’s going to be okay.
He put the top back on and carried the box. He quickly got out of the alley way and rushed to the nearest Bullhead station.
One flight later...
Jaune kicked the door of his dorm open and quickly got inside, closed the door and set the box down. He went to the bathroom to get the tub ready to clean the pups up.
Thankfully, his friends were off doing there own business.
Once the bath is ready, he took off his shoes, rolled up his sleeves and pants. He took the box inside and went to work.
One bath later...
Cleaning ten puppies ain’t easy but he managed to pull it off on his own. Thankfully some of them were really behaved while the rest really liked to play with water. Not that he blames them...
He got a towel dried them all up, and himself...the little guys like to splash around. When Jaune was done, they were all squeaky clean, their fur was clean and devoid of any dirt, and they all smelled nice.
Jaune admired his handiwork and smiled. The pups swarmed him, letting out happy barks and giving him licks. He returns the love by giving them head pats and scratches.
Jaune: Hahaha, you’re welcome you guys.
He was cut off by the door opening, his friends stood their in shock and surprise to see the puppies.
Jaune: chuckles nerviously Hey guys...
(Aaaannnd done! What will happen next to the Golden pups, including Jaune, find out next on[INSERT DATE HERE]!)

One recap later...
Jaune: ...And that’s what happened.
Jaune just finished telling his story on how he met the pups, while his friends, mainly Weiss, Ruby, Nora and Yang kept on bombarding the puppies with affection. Safe to say that the four girls were absolutely livid that someone would abandon these sweet babies. Oh and Zwei was also there, he wants to meet his new playmates and possible siblings.
Weiss: THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE!
Her loud screeching made the pups flinch in fright. Thankfully, Weiss noticed this.
Weiss: baby voice Oh I’m sorry little guy, mommy Weiss is just mad that there are despicable sacks of disappointment would leave precious little angels like you! Whose a good boy, yes you are!
Weiss reassured and cradled one of the puppies in her arms like a baby and giving belly rubs and scratches.
Jaune: ‘Wait, did she just call herself-’
Jaune was cut off by Nora.
Nora: Yeah! I wanna break their kneecaps!
Damn it, Nora...
Ren: Nora, no.
Nora: NORA, YES!
Double damn it, Nora!
Pyrrha: Breaking knees aside, have you named these little guys, Jaune?
Thank you, Pyrrha!
Jaune: Err, not yet, Pyrrha. I haven’t thought of names for the little guys.
From the corner of his vision, he saw Ruby, Weiss, Yang and Nora perk up from the statement, and he saw Blake being cornered by one of the puppies.
Weiss: brings her face close to the pup she was holding From now on, you will be called “William.” How does that sound to you?
The puppy barked happily in her arms, like he was saying yes.
Weiss gushed in delight and cuddled the the little baby in her arms, all the while rambling “Whose a good boy, you are!” And “I’ll get you and your siblings different colored collars!”
Nora raised the doggo in her arms like a sacred treasure.
Nora: Henceforth, you shall be named as “Prince Pancake!”
The pup barked in delight at the name.
Jaune: Uhh, Nora, that one’s a girl...
Nora: “Princess Pancake!”
Ren: sigh “Pancake” is just fine, Nora.
Ruby: holds puppy close to her face How does “Pumpkin” sound to you?
Her answer was a lick to her nose. Which made Ruby happy. Zwei barked in happiness at his new sibling/playmate.
Yang: Dad’s gonna flip out when he finds out we got a new puppy.
Jaune saw Blake still against a corner with a pup parallel against her. The pup seemed to be happy if the wagging tail was an indication.
Jaune: Hey, Blake, what are you gonna name that one?
Blake: hiss Mutt...
Jaune: deadpan “Matt” short for “Matthew” it is then.
He heard the puppy barked, and Blake hiss again. Jaune then felt something against his shin. He looked down to see one of the puppies. He smiled.
Jaune: kneels down Hey there little guy, you want to be with me?
A bark was his answer.
Jaune: smiles Okay, how does “Pete” sound to you?
The pup barked happily and wagged his tail. Making Jaune happy.
Then Jaune got an idea.
Jaune: Hey, Ruby. Zwei has his aura unlocked, right?
Ruby: getting her cheek licked Yeah, why?
Jaune: Let’s unlock these pups aura!
(Tadah! The pups meet their new friends and owners! And they got new names! Let’s see what shenanigans will ensue for these pups, especially now they’ll get auras and semblances!)

Pot of Gold AU: First Night
The pups' first night sleeping with their new dad and family
JNPR dorm room
Jaune was wearing his onesie ready to go to bed while the pups explored their room. He smiled as he watched them run around full of excitement and curiosity. Their brand new colored collars made it easier to identify them, courtesy of Weiss.
He set up a little place where they could sleep, eat and drink water from. He used the box where he found them as a place for them to sleep, he added a blanket for coziness, Ruby and Yang were generous enough to let him borrow Zwei's food and water bowl, and Zwei was happy to share the cans of dog food he was sent with.
He saw Nora and Pancake bonding together with Nora rubbing her belly and Pancake enjoying it. He smiled.
It was getting late, time for bed!
Jaune: claps Alright guys, time for bed!
Nora: Awww... stops belly rubbing Pancake
He heard Pyrrha and Ren chuckling at her.
Jaune rounded up all the pups and put them all in the box and knelt in front of them.
Jaune: Good night guys, sweet dreams.
Jaune turned off the lights and hopped onto his bed and went to sleep.

Jaune woke up to the sound of dogs crying and snapped awake. He looked to the clock and saw it was midnight, he groaned and looked to the side of his bed where the crying started, and he saw the pups trying to get on the bed.
They were crying so much that his team started to wake up due to the noise.
Pyrrha: Jaune? yawns What's going on?
Jaune: It's the pups, they're trying to get on my bed.
Ren: sigh Why?
Jaune: I dunno, I guess they're still scared.
Jaune got an idea and got up from his bed, and grabbed his pillow and blanket. He then set his pillow on the floor as the pups followed him.
Nora: where are you going, Jaune-Jaune?
Jaune: If the little guys are afraid to sleep alone, I guess I'll sleep with them.
Pyrrha: Will you be okay sleeping on the floor?
Jaune: I can manage. As long as these guys are happy and safe, I'm alright.
He laid down in a fetal position and urged the puppies to come to him. They all lay in front of him in a sea of golden fur, they all looked better now and stopped crying.
Jaune smiled and draped his blanket over them and him.
Jaune: Good night guys.
Then everyone went to sleep...
Pot of Gold AU: Morning Moments Part 1
Morning shenanigans
Jaune woke up to his face getting bombarded with something wet repeatedly.
Jaune: GAH! I'm up I'm up!
Jaune sat up and saw the pups sitting looking adorable and happy as always.
Jaune: smirk Did you guys wake me up?
He received several barks of confirmation. He chuckled and looked at the clock.
It was 8:30?!
Oh wait, it's Saturday...
Jaune sighed in relief, then he looked at his team's sleeping forms. He grinned as an idea went into his head.
Jaune: Hey guys. Wake 'em' up.
Immediately the pups bolted for the beds. They eagerly jumped on the beds, surprising Jaune, and started licking their faces.
Pyrrha and Ren bolted up from the sudden sensation. They calmed down when they realized it was just the puppies.
Nora on the other hand, continue to snore and absentmindedly grabbed the nearest puppy for a hug, the puppy being Pete.
Jaune snickered at them.
Jaune: Morning, guys! Enjoy your wake-up call?
Ren: deadpan Did you seriously order them to wake us up, Jaune? absentmindedly pets Pancake
Jaune: Hey! They woke me up first like that!
Pyrrha: yawn Morning everyone...
Suddenly, Nora stood up from her bed and stretched out an arm wide while the other one held onto Pete.
Nora: Good morning JNPR! she brings Pete closer to her face And good morning to you too, lil guy!
Pete barked out his own version of a good morning and gave Nora a lick on the nose, making her really happy.
Jaune stood up and stretched his back with a few audible cracks.
Ren: Sleep well, Jaune?
Jaune: Peachy, the floor was cold but I got a blanket and a blanket of puppies to keep me warm.
Pyrrha: Anyone wants breakfast?
Nora: Pancakes! Pancakes! Pancakes!
The pups joined Nora's chanting in their own way, via barking. Jaune, Ren, and Pyrrha were very amused and laughed.
Jaune: Heheh, alright let's get ready and wake up RWBY for some breakfast.
Nora: with the pups YAY!
Later, the team got ready and headed out to wake up their friends..

Bork!
Pyrrha used her semblance to open the locked door of RWBY's dorm and all of them quietly entered.
Jaune saw the girls sound asleep, just waiting to be woken up. Jaune looked down at the pups doing their best to stay quiet.
Jaune: whispering Alright guys...3...2...1...Go!
The pups bolted for the beds and jumped on. Pumpkin, Newt, and Pancake go for Ruby's bed, surprising JNPR. William, Pete, and Dory went for Weiss. Sam, Lucky, and Oswald went for Yang. And Matt all alone woke up Blake.
Ruby: GAH! Two can play that game! starts kissing the puppies back
Yang: Hey! Hahaha! Morning little guys!
Weiss: baby voice OH~! Good morning to you my sweet wittle babies~!
Weiss happily embraced the three pups close to her, who were still giving her kisses.
Blake: hiss Hellspawn!
Blake sat up and threw Matt at Weiss' bed. The heiress happily welcomed the new pup.
Blake got up and dove out the window...
JNPR:...
Jaune: Well that happened...
Ren: Anyone want breakfast?
Meanwhile...
Blake was currently hugging the wall and trying not to fall off the edge.
Blake: HELP!

Pot of Gold AU: Halloweenie
Spooky scary puppies!
Halloween, a time to dress up in costumes and go door-to-door getting candy. Today was a special day, since today was the pups’ first Halloween! And Ruby’s birthday too, I guess…
Right now, RWBY, JNPR and the puppies were headed back to Beacon to celebrate Ruby’s birthday. All of them were dressed up in their own costumes.
Jaune was dressed up as Captain Vale, Pyrrha was dressed up as Black Widow, Nora was dressed up as a Viking, and Ren was dressed up as Snake Eyes.Ruby was dressed up as a Jack-O-Lantern, Yang was dressed up as Tifa Lockhart, Weiss was dressed up as Snow White (Shocker…) and Blake was dressed up as Raiden from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
The pups also wore their own cute little costumes, courtesy of Coco and Weiss.Pete was dressed up like the superhero Robin, William was dressed up like a Vampire with a little cape and everything, Lucky was dressed up like a leprechaun, Dory was dressed up as a witch with a cute pointy hat, Oswald was dressed up as a wizard with a stick like a cane in his mouth, little Pumpkin was dressed up like her namesake and owner, a cute little pumpkin, Pancake was dressed up as Nora, custom made courtesy of Coco again, much to Nora’s joy, Sam was dressed up as a viking with furry shorts, and Newt was dressed up like a scientist with a lab coat. Zwei was also with them and he was dressed up like the sidekick of the Hunts-Man.
The teams chatted while they walked with Weiss, Ruby, Nora, and Yang gushing about the pups’ costumes.
They weren’t the only ones too, all of the houses they went all cooed at the puppies. Bonus candy!
While the pups couldn’t eat the candy, they have a butt-load of doggy treats to compensate.
Weiss: Oh look at you wittle babies in your wittle costumes~! All of you are oh so adorable~!
Ruby: Yeah! We owe Coco a lot of favors for this!
Yang: And we also get celebrate your birthday, Ruby!
Nora: CAKE! CAKE CAKE CAKE!
Some of the pups joined Nora in her chanting. Unfortunately for the puppies, Ruby’s cake was chocolate, very poisonous to dogs, but luckily they’ll have their own cake, courtesy of Weiss, it was vanilla flavored.
The others chuckled at them.
Pyrrha: Let’s hurry then. Wouldn’t want to be late on your own party, huh Ruby?
Ruby: You’re right, Pyrrha! Let’s go!
Ruby scooped up Pumpkin and used her Semblance to get there faster.
Nora: Hey! That’s cheating!
The rest ran after the birthday girl and her new puppy. When the party started, they all sang Ruby happy birthday, with Taiyang and Qrow on a video call. They all ate and had a wonderful time. The pups played with everyone.
When it was time to go, Ruby, Nora and the pups were already peacefully asleep, carried by their sister, their partner and their owners respectively.
I have some news, My country got hit by a strong typhoon which caused a lot of flooding and damage, my house got flooded unfortunately and my neighborhood lost electricity. And I also got into contact with someone whose positive with COVID and I’m required to quarantine myself away from my family. Good news is that, I don’t have any symptoms just yet (hopefully wouldn’t) and it stopped raining and the flood went down. Thank God.

Ren: nods with a smile I'll go check on the girls, I can hear them squealing while in the kitchen.
Jaune: chuckles Yeah, they can't contain themselves from anything cute.
With that, Ren left them.

Been a while, hasn't it?
Jaune yawned as he prepared for bed while wearing his signature Pumpkin Pete onesie. He looked around the room to see the pups still running around like they weren't even tired, well, except for Lucky who was already sleeping, that pup was a bit lazy.
Whenever they run around, Ruby and Nora call it "zoomies" for some reason...Eh still cute to see.
Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren were also getting ready to go to bed, giving the pups a glance and a smile once in a while.
Jaune: Alright guys, time for bed!
He was greeted by the sounds of sad whines from the puppies. But they followed anyways.
They've been doing really well right now, they no longer needed him to sleep by their sides, but they'll still want to since he's warm, and it's not like he can refuse since they're so cuddleable.
Jaune: Alright, c'mere. kneels on one leg and held out his arms invitingly
The pups all lined up excitedly, even Lucky who woke up when he heard him.
This became a routine for them, he gives them goodnight kisses while they give him and his team good morning mlems.
First was Pete, giving him a kiss on the nose.
Followed by Pumpkin...
Then Matt...
William...
Pancake...
Dorothy...
Lucky...
Newt...
Sam...
Oswald...
Pancake-
Wait a minute...
Jaune: smiles Didn't I get you already~?
Pancake licked him on the nose, making Jaune chuckle and give Pancake another kiss on the nose. The rest of his friends smiled at the cute moment, Nora squealed and vibrated in place.
Once he was done, he led them all to their dedicated corner in the room with one big cozy bed, separate colored food bowls, water, and toys, courtesy of Auntie Weiss.
Pyrrha turned off the lights and they all went to sleep.

Pot of Gold AU: Qrow's lucky break

Qrow has no idea how he got roped into babysitting one of Ruby's friend's puppies. (He got bribed with beer)
Currently, he and the little mutt were strolling down Vale, occasionally passing by people gushing about the puppy, the majority of them being ladies.
Lucky little bastard...
He could feel the happy look on the puppy's face as he walked and get complimented. Some complimented him for being such a good owner, to which he corrects them saying he's just watching him for his niece.
He got tired and went to the park to sit down.
No, he's not old, no matter how many times Ruby and Yang say it!
On the way there, he came across a Lien bill on the sidewalk just laying there. He quickly pocketed it.
He sat on the bench as he watched the pup run around the park. He got interrupted by getting accidentally hit in the back of the head by a ball. The kids apologized afterward.
He went to a nearby cafe when he got hungry and the pup got tired. The same thing happened hours ago while they were staying in the cafe.
This little guy is a chick magnet for sure...
The day was nearly coming to an end so he had to head back to Beacon to return this little guy. And he nabbed a few lost Lien on the ground too.
When he gave the pup back, Ruby was thankful for him, and she'll buy him a beer on the weekends.
When he went to sleep, he reflected on his day with the little puppy. And then it hit him...
Throughout the day, his Semblance hadn't affected him at all, apart from that one time in the park when the pup was far.
He remembers his last conversation with his niece.
Ruby: Thanks for looking after Lucky, Uncle Qrow! I'll get you that beer on the weekends!
Qrow: Eh, don't mention it, Squirt. The mutt was easier to handle than Zwei.
Ruby: Yeah, he is. He sure is a blessing I'll tell ya what!
Qrow: Yeah yeah, that beer better be there on Saturday.
"Blessing" rang in his ears which kept him up at night.
The little guy's name was Lucky...
According to Ruby that the pups have their Auras unlocked...
Next to nothing bad has happened to him for the whole day...
He even got lucky with some chicks and some Lien on the streets...
Qrow: 'You know babysitting that pup again doesn't seem so bad...'

Jaune: I'm very sorry about this!
While Jaune left the four, the pups soon calmed down. Unbeknownst to everyone, the pups were actually saying some things to them. Let's see~
