Broad-strokes of the case -Theres a medical facility that works for ICE -A nurse, Dawn Wooten, made allegations that she was told by migrant women that they received hysterectomies that were medically unnecessary -Dr. Amin was libeled as "The Womb Collector" by the migrant women at the ICE facility -Turns out that Nurse Wooten has no direct knowledge of what she claims -Also also turns out, there is no documentation of anymore than 2 hysterectomies being performed by Dr, Amin - Also also also turns out that both hysterectomies were performed due to cancer diagnosis -Also also turns out that MSNBC knew that was the case according to E-Mail correspondents -MSNBC even acknowledges in E-mails that the story couldn't be verified and that there was a malicious political bias in the story and ran it anyways because they wanted another scandal to attack, then president, Trump over. MSNBC are actually lying scum, but thats par for the course for Democrat mouthpieces.
Jorge Gonzalez, suffered a broken neck, and a compressed spine at the hands of 3 sheriff deputies in Texas. He couldn’t even hold his head up for this mugshot…so they had to hold it up for him. They actually thought the mugshot was more important than a hospital visit.
After a deputy tripped him he hit his face hard and went unconscious. They tased him couple of times “to wake him up”.
He was left paralyzed neck down, went through a series of surgeries, and was in ICU on the ventilator for over a month after the arrest.
According to the hospital he went over 26 hours in Hidalgo County jail without necessary medical attention that could have saved his life.
No matter how progressive or well-read you are, there are always going to be moments in your life where somebody pushes back against something that's so culturally ingrained you never even considered it before. And you'll say "Huh, it never occurred to me to challenge this but you're right" and that doesn't mean you were "morally toxic" before, it means you're a non-omniscient human capable of growth.
I think something ppl, especially younger folk, really need to understand is that just because someone exists in a progressive space doesn't necessarily mean that they are actually interested in progress. Many people will use the rhetoric of progressivism for nothing but their own ends. Some people want plausible deniability when they commit terrible acts. Some people want a reason to bully other people without feeling like a bad person. And some people simply aren't interested in practicing what they preach.
I'm not saying this to say never trust anyone. But if you get a bad feeling about someone and all you can think is "they can't be bad! They share the same opinions that I do!" Then maybe don't write off those suspicions right away. Actions speak louder than words, after all, and if their actions contradict their words, then that's a red flag you shouldn't ignore.
