Hey, can we go back to calling them "radio dramas" instead of podcasts? I just think it'd be cool. and not just for story-based podcasts like Welcome to Nightvale or whatever, I mean all podcasts. Podcasts of 3 dudes talking about whatever random indie games they bought during the Steam Summer Sale? Radio Drama. Fucked up audio-only quiz show? Radio Drama. The sounds of someone screaming muffled under a pillow for 2 hours before swapping to the noises from underneath the empire state building? Radio Drama.

Niffty doesn't want to sleep (nightmares) She goes to Alastor for company.
The 2 of them cook and have an unwanted guest on Alastor's part.
Includes a radio drama! She basically gets a bedtime story and a snack!

Who would come knocking at his door at this hour? He wondered. He wasn't expecting any visitors, and most of the hotel staff and guests were asleep by now. "Come in!" He said, in his cheerful voice that masked his annoyance.
Niffty stepped into the room in her night dress, and a sleep mask on her head. She saw him sitting in his chair, holding a book in his hands. She took note of the chair opposite him.
"Niffty darling, what do you need?" He asked, putting his book aside and concentrating on Niffty.
"I can't sleep and I know you are awake... As always." She said, in a timid voice. She walked towards him and climbed on his lap, cuddling with him. "So what are you reading about?"
"I'm reading a book of old radio dramas, my dear. They are very amusing and thrilling, and they remind me of the good old days." He said, showing her the cover of the book. It had a picture of a microphone and a title that read "The Golden Age of Radio". He opened the book and pointed to a page. "This one is my favorite. It's called 'The Shadow', and it's about a mysterious vigilante who can cloud men's minds and fight crime. He has a catchphrase that goes like this: 'Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!' Isn't that marvelous?" He said, imitating the voice of the narrator. He chuckled, and looked at her. "Do you like it?" He asked, hoping to interest her.
"I do! I do! It sounds very exciting. Can you read it to me?" She asked, eagerly.
"Of course, I can." He said, smiling at her.

My love for radio from the 30s to 50s was reawakened recently and I need to share some programs with you! Hazbin Hotel is to blame, one hyperfixation wasn't enough I guess!

Radio program that ran from 1937 to 1954. The title character, a caped vigilante, was one of the most enduring and influential creations of the pulp era.
"Inner Sanctum Mysteries" is a horror show from the 40s! You can find it easily on You-Tube!

"Fibber McGee and Molly" radio comedy show! Features an old married couple!

Radio dramas may have fallen out of style but podcasts and audiobooks still have the same feeling to them! People really love to hear stories!

It's really fun, it's really goofy when only some people are good at drawing, and it's really absurd the way we did it

The Hobbit (youtube upload. for some reason the hobbit radio drama has a lot of youtube uploads?)
LOTR Trilogy (internet archive. THE TRACK NAMES DONT SAY WHICH BOOK IS WHICH ASDFASF. It's all in order but its like 97 tracks)
anyways back when i was a teenager I watched the LOTR trilogy and then tried to read the books and failed... So i tried the audiobooks. Still failed. Then I found these audio dramas (radio plays, not audiobooks). i love them so much there is so much heart in these.
The Hobbit is my definitive version because i listened to it right after i watched the movies (the hobbit movies didnt exist yet, i stand by this radio drama version its incredible)
