Thank you to everyone who responded! It was a huge help, especially as someone who lives in a densely wooded area with plenty of creatures roaming around. We'll be careful not to hurt this non-danger noodle if we ever see it again. :)

Help identifying this snake? Found in the northeastern US. Neighbors said it's pretty big. Google searches aren't turning up anything remotely close.
