Albino Squirrel...
Albino squirrels are a rare genetic mutation of the gray squirrel that results in a pure white coat and red eyes:
Appearance: Albino squirrels are completely white with red eyes due to a lack of pigment.
Rarity: Albino squirrels are rare, with a birth chance of only 1 in 100,000.
Vision: Albino squirrels may have impaired vision due to a lack of eye pigment to reduce glare.
Predation: Albino squirrels may be more susceptible to predation.
Other mutations: A different genetic mutation, called leucism, causes squirrels to have a partial loss of pigmentation, affecting their skin and hair but not their eyes.
One these beautiful rare creatures visited my back garden.
The native Red Squirrel is also rare in Scotland now.

More than 75% of the UK's remaining red squirrels are found in Scotland, however there are only about 120,000 remaining in Scotland. Their numbers have fallen drastically in recent decades.

The North American Red Squirrel; variously known as the Pine Squirrel, the Hudson's Bay Squirrel or Chickaree.

A couple more for the road. I think this little guy wishes he had a basket!
#SpringTime
... meanwhile, early in the morning from the mountainous part of the Northern Hemisphere, it is the Red Squirrel who certifies that Spring is at our doors.
February 18th, 2022.

So here's an unexpected visitor... to ease down the week.

#SpringEquinox
The Welcome Back.
Mountainous Parts of the Northern Hemisphere. March 20, 2023.
#BreedingPeriod
Visibly, the female is about to give birth and needs a lot of protein…

while the male is more preoccupied marking his territory; on a rock.

#SpringTime
Even with months and dates, it's never easy to know exacly when Seasons change. Like Spring which officially this year is supposed to be (around here) the 19th of Mars. But Native people from the mountainous parts of the Northern Hemisphere, can have a hint observing animals… like this little Red Squirrel (AKA our Groundhog) when emerging from the snow, who can easily certify that Spring is at our doors.
Two years ago it was on February 18th… 2022. And this year, February 12th, 2024. So yeah, Spring is just around the corner guys.

Little doodle of Reeve, Matthias’ mentor, dear friend, and first oracle to one of the big gods (Clover). To meet her is to fall in love. :)

All the stuff i dont sell is gonna be on etsy in the future! (Probably august, but who knows)

You , yes you, can now get your very own little snake magnet! After the market i had a ton of stuff left over (i think i had the wrong audience it was all old ladies looking for jewellery lol) so now they’re all on etsy! Im not that find of Etsy but i don’t really have any other options.. and also please excuse my crappy photography skills im working on them…. Also when im back at uni ill have access to all my materials again so rest assured in late September i will be selling Sinosauropterixes and other prehistoric themed stuff! I didn’t make any for the market because I’m guessing they’re quite a niche thing..
