Retro Style - Tumblr Posts

This one comes with a story- when I was little I had a real bad phobia of clowns- my family went to a car show at McDonald’s, and this was before the company made a complete rebrand of the franchise. A guy dressed as Ronald McDonald was there, and at first I was terrified to approach him, but then HE approached ME and was very sweet and kind! That kinda put me on the path to no longer finding clowns scary, and also the nostalgia of old McDonald’s characters just- makes me pissed they took them all away. Bring them back dammit! Anyways- Rhonda McDonna everyone! I plan on making this into a sticker on my Redbubble store too-

Man, I love the look of old video game stuff....

Rare “Behind-the-Scenes” look at the classic 1984 Tower of Druaga arcade flyer!
Many people don’t know it, but the scenes in the comic used to promote Tower of Druaga were done by placing miniature cardboard cutouts of the characters on to intricate sets made of the tower’s exterior and interior, and then taking pictures of it. This gave it a unique sort of 3D perspective. It’s much like a diorama.
You can even see the wires that the Slimes were suspended from, and that they put a clay model of a broken brick wall over a Ki drawing to simulate her being imprisoned. I’ve included the finished comic for comparison.
Spirit Box

Today’s prompt for Fright-Fall is “Spirit box”! I do know what a spirit box actually is, but I thought this was cuter!
Smilo-Hess is now a cup head boss folks

I swear she lives rent free in my head, please tell me how to get her out 😭😭
I might also add backgrounds but this is experimental on how to make something more retro I guess
EDIT: made her more muted thus more vintage

aughhh why are mixels such an aesthetic ✨💖
