Back again for the RoTT Aftermath and AU this time with Claire!

So I didn’t really change much of her except for some small details. But I of course wanted to make her older since it does take place around 6-9 years later(still deciding).

Her armor is overall the same but I wanted to make a new one since y’know she could have outgrown hers? Anyway-I took inspiration from Morgana like I did Jim with King Arthur. She deserves a cape and crown tbh<3

And finally character reference. I wanted to darken her town down throughout the shows since shes always outside, but I did make her a little bit pale due to the shadow magic. AND A NEW FIT???? HELL YES!! She needs it and I didn’t want it to be the same old one from high school(but the coat was an inspiration from her old one. I also liked the idea that when she teleported Nari’s titan her hair became full on white which was so cool! so theres that :]

Back at it again!! This time with Toby! There isn’t too much information on him but I do wanna go onto his character designs throughout the series

First off is outfits! I wanted to keep a bit of the same design for Trollhunters, and since he lives with his Nana I wanted the clothes to be like button ups, jackets, vests,ect. By the time 3Below happens I’d like to say he’s old enough for a job(heck maybe even a car) so he can buy clothes that fit more to his style, such as hard rock.

Armor is overall the same. I did shake it up a bit for the future design but its overall the same. Next up is the Arcane Order!!

You’re telling me that James Lake Jr, got handed the chance to time travel, to undo the death of his best friend, his moms fiancé, and the two other friends he lost in saving the world, but instead he went so far back that he never made friends with most of these people, didn’t know if he would still have the chance to win over the love of his life, and threw out his destiny and responsibility that he proved himself time and time again to be the only one who could take on the amulet and the role of leader, and handed all of that trouble and responsibility and danger and ‘weight of world on shoulders’ over to his best friend, who just died for him, and who is the clumsiest person in the world, who was a hero with completely different strength and would not survive two days with the amulet, because it was not his destiny in the first place, is that what you’re trying to tell me?

Well, that was load of garbage put in fancy packaging and ribbon

Okay I didn't like A LOT of things in this movie BUT I believe it could have been saved if Jim just traveled back to the beginning of the movie itself.

It could have ended with him saying " okay, let's do it again" or some shit like that I don't care.

As a person who HATES open endings I still would have been willing to accept it over that hideous last minutes we had to witness.

YES , that is exactly it .

Another big thing that I can't live with is that the magical amulet just chose the first person there.

Like , I thought that this thing was meant to choose the trollhunter because of his skills or his pure heart or crap like that.

Why didn't the amulet choose Jim again ? Isn't the whole trollhunter stuff based on destiny ? And isn't it JIM'S DESTINY to be trollhunter ? WTF??

I want to make myself clear, my problems with that ending are in no way, ‘‘Toby hate’, I love him and he was a full fledged hero. I wouldn’t have been happy if Jim gave the amulet to Claire either, or douxie , or blinky, or anyone else, because they all had their own part to play. They all had their individual destiny, and destiny was such a big theme, and then Jim forfeited his own, and decided who would play what role as if he can do that. They were a team, each character had their position, each one had a purpose, I’m not happy that they killed Toby, but he was not the yielder of the amulet, he was the yielder of the war hammer. You can’t swap destinies with your best friend because you think ‘maybe this way he’ll survive’, that’s not how it works and Jim knows the weight he just put on Toby’s shoulders. Just because Toby was the help Jim needed to carry it, doesn’t mean that Jim helping will be what Toby needs to carry it. He just imbalanced something bigger than he even understands, and after a while he’s gonna realize he made a mistake and have to put things back to the same moment he left, because time travel, NEVER, works out .

Aw , this reminds me of the good old "before ROTT" days when I thought that Blinky's death would have ruined the movie for me. Little did I know that the movie would keep Blinky alive and still manage to be the absolute worst piece of garbage I'd ever see in my life

The whole tower window tug-of-war scene is jussssssssst

Okay, first of all, Gen being a little snot and singing Dite’s song insulting himself and Irene where everyone can hear INCLUDING IRENE

Sophos taking the initiative as one of the few people, politically and personally, who can dump Gen on his behind without consequences (see: ACOK, also Sophos’s general Baby Of The Group nature), to defend his Now Very Good Friend Irene and give Gen some consequences

The absolutely Buster Keaton physicality of the entire scene

Sophos turning back to the window to yell something rude down at Gen only for Gen to be in the window nose to nose with him like

and then the absolute insanity of the Annux of the Little Peninsula and the King of Sounis tug-of-warring in a position that would mean actual death or broken bones at any outcome

And everyone’s just having a grand ol’ time (except Pheris)

getting the long-awaited finale of one of my favourite series and having to watch the ending strip all the characters of their development and basically erase the events of the entire franchise like
