The fleet is lit up

So, on the 20th of May 1937 a British man was Drunk with a few of his palls also being drunk, Now what makes this bunch special? I did mention him after all, well this one was on top of the battleship Nelson, named after a War criminal to the Dutch and a hero too a few other people. Like he blew up Copenhagen twice that's pretty funny. Anyway On top of the Nelsol as it was called because people thought it looked like an Tanker. Very Odd ship the nelson all of the guns are in front of the Towers to make the main belt of amour less long so it wasn't as heavy.

ANYWAY SORRY DRUNK MAN. So this lad Thomas Woodrooffe so he had a job to do and this drunk man wasn't about to blast out some poor cottage or anything he was gonna say what the Spithead Navel Review and describe all the ships.

And So the "Woodrooffe Incident" started By his first line he had already described the fleet as fairy land.

Right thats the first One and now tags.

I hate tags silly things

The whole Fleet is fairyland

So I may as well just post a few of his lines and try to explain what he is thinking because it funny Well I was going to but frankly its too good not to show Anyway this very Tired and Exhausted Man said:

1st line "At the present moment, the whole fleet is lit up. When I say 'lit up', I mean lit up by fairy lamps."

2nd Line "We've forgotten the whole Royal Review ... we've forgotten the Royal Review ... the whole thing is lit up by fairy lamps. It's fantastic, it isn't the fleet at all. It's just ... it's fairyland, the whole fleet is in fairyland."

- this is likely just the normal young people have forgotten how to man the navy always comes out when drunk. The

4th I'm sorry, I was telling some people to shut up talking.

- yea sure No drinking buddies here

7th line In a second or two, we're going to fire rockets, um, we're going to fire all sorts of things (indistinct). And.. you can't possibly see them, but you'll hear them going off, and you may hear my reaction when I see them go off. Because ... erm ... I'm going to try and tell you what they look like as they go off. But at the moment there's a whole huge fleet here. The thing we saw this afternoon, this colossal fleet, lit up ... by lights ... and the whole fleet is in fairyland! It isn't true, it isn't here! - it really is oddly poetic "I'm trying to give you, ladies and gentlemen, (indistinct) the fleet's gone. It's disappeared. I was talking to you ... in the middle of this damn (cough), in the middle of this fleet ... and what's happened is the fleet's gone, disappeared and gone. We had a hundred, two hundred warships around us a second ago, and now they've gone, at a signal by the Morse code, at a signal by the fleet flagship which I'm in now, they've gone, they've disappeared."

- all the ships go dark Must have been surreal. "There's nothing between us and heaven. There's nothing at all." After this line the people at the studio chose to slowly fade him out

Aaack I need to re-write the afterwards and now write the after afterward and why this matters to me.

Bit pissed ngl
