yes! that was moon’s hand! she has a prosthetic left hand. (suns has 3 fingers, too. seemed fitting for them to have some of the most notable body alterations)

pebbles thought he could solve the problem. suns has access to void fluid, and looked the other way as pebbles stole some. this ended. poorly.

as for artificer (still need a title for them aa)

they took up the role of leader easily, taking care of their city dutifully, and looking forwards to more construction in the area. someone they could connect with! they spoke with other iterators, but stuck to themself mostly. didn’t have the same connection, with the lack of a local group. and construction began. two new iterators at once! they wanted this. they wanted to have the company of a local group, and get to teach them how to be iterators, show them the world.

they tried to ignore the uproar in the surrounding areas. if they wanted it badly enough they could have it, right?

it got as far as the beginnings of puppet construction when things fell apart. and it made them angry. resentful. a dangerous person. the karma mark on their forehead replaced the old markings. if they couldn’t have this, then their citizens didn’t deserve their help anymore. frayed wires and hastily built purposed organisms sent to keep everyone away from the two structures. explosives and anger. artificer was deemed too unstable for people to live upon, and was abandoned in droves.

oh hello!!!! i am glad you asked!!! :D the ancient who is on a police chase is Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors (or bob. stands for big ol' bastard, his iterator gave him this nickname before the...rot incident) Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors was a part of a council working on an iterator (around early to mid gen 1) that can withstand the rot, this iterator wasn't the final model but was the first prototype however Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors needed a approval from the rest of the council (especially since his council didn't live atop his iterator as his iterator had no city. regulations and checks need to be done for there to be a chance that the city would be built), he wasn't the best to his iterator :( this has caused the iterator to act distrusting and not cooperative (note: Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors lived in another iterator city, so therefore his council was merged with the other council) even worse thing that happened is that during one of the checks, Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors decided that it would be time to initiate the first bit of his plan (give his iterator a bit of rot, install it into the primary core container. its similar to a core except it contains rot, in theory the rot should not spread, and the iterator will suffer minimal consequences, if not no consequences at all). this was an utter FAILURE. not sure what happened next but basically the iterator ALMOST got killed by his stupid business decision, he got a little (a lot) mad at his iterator (RB. short for Rotting Balance), may have yelled at him, and promptly got zapped by a less harmful version of the brain zap pebbles gives you if you stay in his chamber for too long all in front of the other council people. consequences for this is that the iterator had a few new code add-ons installed onto his code. if he is disrespectful or otherwise unkind to any ancient in any way (can range from not cooperating and all the way to zapping an ancient again), he'll get 25% of his water supply taken away, and RB CANNOT be bellow 75% water supply or else he will not be able to keep the rot somewhat under control. consequences for Reflections in Last Fracture, Speaks of Mirrors is that he loses his place in the council, and gets all his permits on working on iterators taken away he wasn't happy that cycle he and the council had a REAL BAD argument, not sure what happened here either but it escalated to him threatening the other ancient with a dagger, he realized what he had done so he ran before the police could be called, threatening a maintenance worker to get the pin to the maintenance staff elevator in the superstructure's leg, then hopped onto the first train car carrying supplies over to an iterator across the mountain range the police did caught up to him eventually when they did, he ran to the nearest void fluid mine and jumped into the void he is now an echo.

awwww!!! its ok!!! and i am very honored you are taking interest in this!!!!! :D oh theres so much about this little idiot of an iterator... hmmm with what shall i start with...? well to start off i guess i will properly introduce him now! :D

RB is his group's main admin/senior (as he is the oldest out of the three seniors, yeahh his local group is BIG) he often has his communications closed, therefore not available most of the time. he is.... very paranoid, (probably caused by whatever his ancient did or also the fact that he is only on 50% water usage and he doesn't know how to overwrite the code to give him his water supply back, it feels like a constant fever rn, like the type of fever that you can't think clearly) often not trusting others or being uncooperative, this gets him quite a strained relationship with the other seniors of his group (they do not trust him, he does not trust them, all of them are one badly worded message away from arguing ... all the time) he at one point was somewhat friends with an iterator? not really tbh?? more of like a business friendship? (like the friendship people have with their coworkers?) well uhm that didn't go well that other iterator ended up succumbing to the rot it was partially due to RB's paranoia and careless actions he does also have an evil lizard cat he so nicely named "the mauler", the mauler was the only thing he was somewhat nice to! although the mauler was a handful to deal with! always trying to bite and maul!!!! it probably bit at least half of the local group (dw! no damage was done most likely, the mauler will not harm ones from the local group, however same cannot be said about iterators outside of the local group)

my edgelord evil feisty son..... RB..... he is so evil (unintentionally, he just has terrible luck i guess.) and edgelord and feisty and he has no clue how to be nice because his ancient was so feisty and evil to him.........

Ok! I’ve been thinking of this for a while now! Here comes a “what if” thing again! Here me out, albino ancients/lighter colored (mainly albino but still)

I don’t see a whole lot in this community (if there are then I must be blind). I don’t know it just make me wonder how they will be treated in society. Will it be like us? Where we are completely fine with it and everything is normal? Are they treated highly due to how rare this is (I’m pulling crap out of my ass I’m sorry)

I think they look cool! I wouldn’t mind seeing others put their take on this if anything. Since I myself many draw the ancients like dogs/cats (or deer for that matter) type hybrids, most of my references came from animals.

Mainly the pink hue mixed with the blue eyes (or red)

Just wanted to put this out there. I talked about it with a friend once and my dumb brain held on to it for MONTHS.

hmmmm well the only i am rotating in my head rn is the evil angst! i remember void rupture incidents being mentioned in the lore???? not sure! so like: 42 strikes worked as a maintenance worker for iterators?! and i guess them and their coworkers were doing the ussualy work day of fixing stuff up, and like, i think one of workers noticed a void fluid pipe that might have some issues ? so they tried to fix it! they failed!!! oh they failed so bad!!!! the pipe was barely holding on already, and them trying to mess with it caused a void fluid rupture incident!!! (neither did the valves of the pipe work enough to stop the void fluid flow, the whole pipe was dissolved from the inside out by void fluid) and so uhm that coworker became void soup i guess :( bro got dissolved :( AND HERE IS 42 WHO WALKS RIGHT INTO THE SCENE OF THE INCIDENT, TRIES TO GET THE BARELY ALIVE COWORKER AWAY FROM THE VOID FLUID AND PROMPTLY GETS VOID FLUID ALL OVER THEIR LEFT ARM, LEFT SIDE OF TORSO, BOTH PALMS, AND UPPER LEFT LEG TOO!!! YOUCH!!!!! not sure what happened next but definitely the hospital bills must've been expensive :( and here comes 15 swords of crimson, with a deal too good to be true! of course 42 takes it, what other option do they have? (it doesn't end well) (dw they'll be fine they just need a bandaid and a snickers bar i promise they're ok) (the other coworker didn't survive :( injuries too bad :( didn't come back next cycle either since the cause of death was void fluid)

hmmmmm not sure! however i do know that dude is the embodiment of karma 1 ! i guess just the power of being a council member got to his head after all sometimes council members can do some serious crimes and get away with it only because they're a part of the council or something yeah the council ancients can be rather mean at times, especially toward lower or working class ancients

during the making of my custom skin mod, i dug through RW files these are some notable graffiti i found !

this one is labeled as "godofeyes" which i find very interesting!!! this may show that some ancient religions worshiped something other than the void??? or maybe this guy AND the void too???? no clue!

this little image here titles as "iteratorsaint" this looks like moon, however i do doubt it as the mark on the forehead is a bit more oval shaped with a dot in the middle, where as moon's mark is a circle with no dot in the middle. could this be another iterator?

these two creep me the hell out what is this first one is labeled "sittingman" and the second is "boxbird" i do not like these they creep me out :( well at least sitting man does show us that maybe ancients can be bald? as well as just the intricate pattern

these two are rather interesting to me!!! labeled "pilothelmet" and "gasmask" look at them!!!! interesting guys!!! the pilothelmet and gasmask show more examples of ancient masks that aren't just the standard gold ones we see in game!!! also look at the ancient's eyes in gasmask! silly thing ..... i love this graffiti!

another one! this one is labeled as "faceandtag" i find this one interesting as it shows what looks like a cartoonish ancient head??? either way look at the nose!!! do ancients have dog noses then??? if so then omg they're even sillier ............ love the messed up guys

lastly this one wtf is happening here!!!! it is called "faceplug" what. is. happening i am so puzzled this looks like an iterator, except with whatever this is happening to their face??? is this normal behavior??? is this messed up?? huh anyways thats about it

I shall start off by presenting THE BOARD

This originally started off because I was trying to create as canon-accurate designs for the iterators and ancients. That plan has since gone out the window (haha, stylization go brrrrrrrr)

BUT because of this I have spent a lot of time collecting art assets from the game (and elsewhere. i’m looking at you catboy pebbles.) and staring at them for many many hours. And now you will be subjected to some of this (not all of it cause I can’t fit it all in one ask– which is why this is my second try at sending this jbkikibdljgvewd)

I’ll start with some ancients ones I found interesting!

First one here has a citizen drone!! Second one provides a really good showcase of ancient ‘hair’, and the third one i think everyone’s probably seen but I just really really like this dude

These are some graffitis that I *think* are ancients, but I’m not 100% sure on them

Ancients seem to have had…

Dog snoots.

Big tall eyes.

Ear inconsistency. Seriously so many graffitis that i think are of ancients have ears, and so many just don’t. IT CONFUSES MY BRAIN.

I don’t know if any of the other iterators showcased here can give us any real insight on other iterator’s designs, but the green head in the first image here is just barely reminiscent of NSH and that bothers me a bit

That guardian one is present in one of the very first rooms in outskirts. I dont know why but that bothers me slightly.

OH OH THIS IS AMAZING!!! i have found all of the ancient graffitis including the ad that the overseers shown you!! BUT SEEING THEM CLEARLY IS SO NICE NOW!! OH THIS CONFIRMS MY IDEA THAT ANCIENTS CAN HAVE SNOUTS OH THAT IS NICE!!! IT MEANS THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO DRAW EM MASKLESS IN A WAY THAT MAKES SENSE TO ME!!!

here is me trying to understand how to draw ancients

here is a concept region i made!!! "abandoned construct" !!! or well.. MLtT's structure!

and this is me trying to make up ancient work days. i hc that cycles are almost the same length as weeks, being 170 hours long! each of the 17 digits is 10 hours long!
