She's based on my own avatar from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's World Championship 2011.
Samara -Duelist Outfit-
~Summary Background~
Samara and her family lived in Crash Town. Until they finally managed to move to Neo Domino to live quietly and to achieve their goals.
She had been at the events of the WRGP Tournament, cheering on the Team 5D's, along with her friends. They really wanted to participate there, but did not reach their time, due to lack of training.
At that time, Samara was in a relationship with Crow Hogan, until they broke up when he decided to leave the city.
Samara -Duelist Outfit (Duel Monster version)-
~Summary Background~
Here, she is wearing a new duelist outfit, worn in one of the greatest events in the history of Duel Monster: Battle City.
In a sudden travel to the past, Samara takes this opportunity to participate in Battle City to face the King of Games.
In which mean, there are many challenges await her in this tournament, especially with a dangerous opponent.
Nonexistentshipping: Yami Marik x Samara
Meaning of this ship: Marks the non-existence of them; Yami Marik is a dark being that was born through Marik's hates. And Samara remains in the past, where she doesn't exist yet.
........
During the events of Battle City, it was evident they would great changes that will happen in that past with the presence of Samara. Especially when she meets Yami Marik "Malik".
At first they were suspicious and intrigued between them, but as they get to know each other more they discover something emotional, especially in Malik.

And yes, I added that Malik is a fan of this franchise. Not to mention that his Millennium Rod is also a lightsaber, an obvious homage to Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged 🤭
While Samara's spirit partner, Hades, is the contrary. He hates science fiction movies.
By the way, the scene represents a duel that those two had, once Malik defeated Bakura.

Well, that was pretty fun drawing this idea about Samara taking a selfie in Seto Kaiba's airship. Just having a little reminder of her travel to the past.... But she didn't realize that she had someone behind her.
And here Malik, approaching her out of curiosity, shows a rather confused expression, not understanding what Samara is doing. 🤭

Fun Fact: The reason why Samara is calling him Melvin? Well... Besides that I made a reference to the name they gave him in the parody Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged, it's because at first, without knowing what his name was, she thought he looked like a Melvin. 🤭
I needed to make a drawing about Malik, acting possessive with Samara, even though it's almost impossible for him to intimidate her that much, because of the fearless personality that the Fabled girl has. (≧▽≦)

I really loved the result of my drawing and seeing this interaction among them. And yes, Duke fell in love with Samara since the moment she arrived on Seto Kaiba's Airship. In Tristan's case, he is still in love with Joey's sister.

💜You're What I Believe💖
Another post from my nonexistentshipping, followed by several doodles that show their dynamics.
To make some sense of the empty space that was left in my drawing, I added the first part of the song What I Believe, by Skillet, which is also the theme that represents them.
Knowing what the song means, it fits them very well. Especially from Malik's point of view, who by meeting Samara shows that he feels comfortable and confident being with her and might even risk his life to save her.

Note: Among in their Dynamics, I added one of the Samara's Fabled, Topi, because she loves this relationship (and some shipping fictional or reals). And yes, she's a shipper. 🤭
Since I had based Samara on my own avatar from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's World Championship 2011, I decided to add Toru and Misaki (Characters/NPC from the same videogame) as her friends in my own backstory.

This three younglings they are best friends, especially Samara and Toru who already knew each other since in the childhood when they lived in Crash Town. And when they both learned that Misaki came from the future just like Bruno, they continued to accept her as a friend and part of the team convincing her to stay on Neo Domino city.

A picture of my nonexistentshipping in the anthro versions of their respective animals. I really I love drawing Malik in an intimidating way, while Samara's reaction is very calm.
The scenario is a mix of two backgrounds I found on Google and I modified them.
It's the first time I'm doing this kind of design, but it helped me to practice a little. And yes... This is an Animal AU. 😹
