Quick Snape Headcannon:

I Believe Young Snape 100% knew how to solve a Rubix cube in his youth, and he can still do it as a professor.

( Let’s pretend Rubix cubes were in Britain around this time. )

To expand on my previous Snape rubix cube headcannon:

Like, imagine using a Rubix cube during potions class at Hogwarts and all of the sudden, Snape snatches the unsolved Rubix out of your hand. “Detention (Your Name), my office.”

And so, you walk into Snape’s office, and sit down in a chair, prepared to write lines, and boom, Snape slams your Rubix cube on the desk, and it’s solved. I totally imagine him making you stay for detention until you solve the Rubix cube a certain amount of times.

Quick Severus Snape Headcannon:

Despite what others believe, Severus Snape and Lily Evans passed notes to eachother in class (if they were done with their classwork) and sometimes in the library when they studied.

Severus kept all of the folded notes in a little wooden box and re-read them later on.

After a long, tiring day of teaching dunderhead students, Professor Snape goes into his office and opens up the locked desk drawer with the little wooden box in it. Once in a blue moon, the shadow of a smile crosses the grumpy professors face while he looks at the contents of the box.

Day Five, Pillow

Headcannon

(This post was late - yesterday and today have been decently hectic days for me.)

Let’s start off by saying something most likely cannon: Severus does not get nearly enough sleep at all.

From juggling two jobs, having to grade around 700 students worth of paper, to being a double spy and still have time to have a mental breakdown every once in a while; Severus is stretched thin.

It’s no wonder in that one scene he pops out in his normal day robes in the middle of the goddamn night. He hasn’t slept a wink.

Oh, and to top it all off (but not really) Severus gets nightmares every time he falls asleep. He has never had one night where he has fallen asleep and stayed asleep and woken up refreshed. He will jolt awake out of fear from a nightmare.

A ‘full nights sleep’ for Severus is four hours continuously interrupted by nightmares and five cups of dark coffee in the morning.

Not sure if these all count as headcanon exactly, but I love to imagine them as:

1. James naturally being a very 'touchy feely' and flirty person

Like if he likes someone well enough he'll rest his arms on their shoulder, envelop them in a bear hug for no reason, punch them playfully on their shoulder, rest his head on their lap when he's going to lie down

The more he comes to realise Snape is actually a truly decent guy (albeit a rudeass and a weirdo) the more he does this, only further encouraged by the fact that this seems to irritate him to no end

Blowing him kisses, wrapping his arms around him from behind while resting his chin on his shoulder, pinching his cheeks, cupping his face, sitting next to him shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee, even more so than with anybody else

Until he realises he's forming a crush and pulls back immediately to stop it from escalating

But by then Severus is already used to it, confused and strangly cold without James’s furnace body obnoxiously plastering itself all over him

2. Snape having no regard for personal space

While he's annoyed with James’s little shows of affection at first it's more to do with James being James than hating human contact

He does this thing where he will get all up in James's face, to where it almost looks intimate

If he's angry enough he'll grab James by his collar and whisper bloody murder in his ear

This is incidentally James’s bisexual awakening

Severus's speaking in a low, deep voice, his breath beating against his ear and neck, his fist against his chest, his words that can be taken one way or another

4. James being a whole Aries

Since we don't actually know all that much about James as a character from canon alone, I love to think of him as your 'typical' Aries. Especially cause he fits the bill so perfectly so far

5. James having to catch himself anytime Severus says something particularly hilarious out of nowhere

6. Severus blown away by James’s ingenuity and intelligence each time cause he acts like a complete imbecile most of the time

7. James getting inexplicably peeved when anyone outside of his posse calls Snape 'Snivellus' or messes with him

8. Snape is autistic and James is a hyperactive mess

James talks with his hands, feet, face, words

He talks stupid fast, with his mouth full, while moving around, he'll draw the thing out on whatever piece of paper or blackboard he can find

It's a sensory overload

Snape looking slightly to the left of James when he talks to understand wth he's even talking about

9. James coming up with the plans and Severus pulling them through to the end

10. Severus being James's impuls control and the one to clean up his inevitable mess

11. James teaching Snape to let loose and not take every rule too seriously

12. James doing little things to take care of him like

Putting more food on his plate

Putting a bottle of water in front of him to make sure he hydrates

Bringing over/making him coffee like an unspoken morning ritual

Covering him in his sleep so he won't be cold

Bringing over groceries every time he visits

Leaving his stuff at Snape's place like shampoo and pillows

"Keep it, I can just use it next time"

And he does so Snape can't argue

13. James going way out of his way for the people he loves without thinking of holding it over them

14. Snape slowly warming up when he notices this

15. And going back to wanting to strangle him when James proceeds to do shit like

Calling him every variation of 'Prince' after learning about his other surname from nosing into his Potions book

@ Lucius 'You speak to his majesty with impunity, peasant!'

Dramatically throwing his jacket over a shallow puddle like the chivalrous knight he is

Edit: strike #3. I don't necessarily wanna think about their sex position.

Could you imagin a post war scenario (with a very much alive Snape tyvm) where everyone is there to help pick up castle debris, and when i say everyone i mean the order and there familys (ex. Molly + husband and all there fucking kids aka a mini army)

And out of nowhere this big rugged lumberjack dude shows up and everyone is confused cuz who tf is that!? Many of them are slightly intimated cuz boy is that guy big and tall. Hes just looking around standing there waiting for somthing or someone.

Molly is the one to walk up to him not giving a fuck as she comes to a stop infront of him she can already tell he has a kind soul.

"Can i be of help hon? You look lost." she says with a kind smile on her face but a hand on her hidden wand, after all the war just ended she dosent want to risk it.

And this big intimating lumberjacks face just lights up with the biggest smile

"why yes thank you, do you know where Severus is?" as he talks it is clear he's from america more specifically the south

And those of the order that stayed close "just in case" are firmly puzzled, what business does this big guy that is currently radiating the energy of 100 golden retrievers on steroid's have with there sarcastic potion's master?

"Hes repairing the dungeons" she point to the hall just behind her "Down this hall then to the right theres a set of stair's you can take down dear, would you like me to walk you there?"

"Thats mighty kind of you ma'am but i am sure i can fallow the directions you have given me, thanks for the help"

he leaves he can her a soft "any time dear" come from the kind woman

As he goes to find Severus he managed to leave behind a group of puzzled and curious witches and wizzards.

Honesty somthing resonated in me when i read that, dont be suprised if you see more of this concept on my page, especially considering my sketch book is already open.

Severus Snape dating this big tall guy who is at least a head taller than him and with shoulders at least double the width. who wears flannel and has a beard with a gruff voice and is just the epitome of a lumberjack. He looks scary/tough but is actually the sweetest person anyone will ever meet. He is super protective of Severus and doesn’t take any of Severus mean comments to heart. He easily makes Severus face turn red from embarrassment with just how sweet and kind he is. He is just about the very last person you would expect someone as clean, tidy, lanky, pale, abrasive, and sarcastic as Severus to be with , but so help anyone who is mean to the guy because Severus will make anyone regret it.
