I just noticed how often Watson broke Holmes heart with his cruel words: he bitterly told Holmes that the wedding will happen whether he likes it or not, said that it is their last case together quite enthusiastically, frequently reminded Holmes to not use "us" and "we", mockingly told him that he doesn't have any friends or mates.
