So when Akito sees you slumped over your desk, half-lidded sleepy eyes, and dark circles starting to form?

If you're conscious enough, he'll gently walk you to your bed, or carry you there if you've already fallen asleep.
He won't take any excuses from you, he'll even lay ontop of you to prevent you from leaving <3

It's been a long day, and you still have so much to do. You procrastinated on a lot of work, always thinking you had tomorrow- now look where that got you. As you typed and typed and typed, you glanced over to the list of assignments left to do, and tears filled your eyes. You quickly wiped them away, thinking to yourself, 'No. I have to finish working. I can't put this away any more than I already have'. You were so exhausted, poor you, you couldn't keep your eyes open for longer than 2 seconds. As your eyes nearly shut once again, you heard footsteps and your room door opening.
That meant that your boyfriend, Akito, was finally home. You wanted to greet him, but you didn't have the strength to move. The last thing you heard was "Hey Y/N, I'm back." before you fell asleep. Akito walked over to your desk, bending over a little to read what was on your laptop. He sighs as he slowly rubs your head, going ahead and saving the project, then shutting down the device. Draping your arms around his neck, he carries you like a sack of potatoes over to your bed. While he's gently laying you down, you open your eyes and stare at him. You didn't realize you weren't at your desk til your head hit the pillow, and you quickly got back up. Before you could fully get up, Akito lightly grabs your shoulders, "Y/N, you aren't going back to that desk. Look at you, you've overdone it again. Please just lay back down, you can finish it tomorrow". Although you tried to protest once again, Akito quickly shushed you and lightly pushed you back. The feeling of the soft pillows quickly made sure you couldn't resist, and you finally caved.
The night ended with you in a deep sleep, with your loving boyfriend hugging you from behind, giving you light little kisses on your forehead, cheeks, and nose. Whenever you overwork yourself again, he'll be here to assure you get the rest you deserve <3.

So I had this idea for a little while now.. There is this criminal minds audio right now thatโs trending; it goes like โHow old are you? 29? Iโm 30. - We missed your birthday? Why didnโt you tell us?โ So I was wondering if you could write an Akito x reader for that scenario. The reader turned sixteen/seventeen and akito & the rest of vbs didnโt know.

ft. Toya, An, and Kohane / Vivid BAD SQUAD
You had been dating Akito for a while now. After being close friends since elementary school, it was only a matter of time before romantic feelings were felt for the other.
The both of you almost knew everything about the other, schedules, practice dates, birthdays, and so much more.
Whenever Akito had a performance coming up, he tended to forget alot of important dates, but out of all dates he could've forgotten, why this one?

It was a little hard for Akito to explain to you VBS' 'sekai'. A world created by feelings? A world with pieces of all 4 of you connected? What do you mean virtual singers can be found there?
Once you finally were able to put atleast some of what he was saying together ( you have no clue what's going on ), he asked if you'd like to visit.
Today is that day.
"You ready, [Name]? It's a little confusing when you first go, but I promise you'll like it" Akito shot you an awkward smile. You responded with a quiet chuckle and said "Im ready! I can't wait to meet Hatsune Miku and Ka..Kaga.."
"Kagamine Rin and Len."
"Thats what I said. I am really excited to meet all of them either way. Let's go!"
Akito double-clicked on a computer file, and the room flashed white. You closed your eyes instinctively and you soon felt so light. When you opened your eyes, you saw a beautiful cafรฉ, a short haired brunette, and the rest of Vivid Bad Squad sitting and talking with her.
She turned to look at you and Akito, and gave you a warm smile and walked over to say hello.
"Ah, you must be [Name]! It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Welcome to our sekai. My name is MEIKO."
You paused for a moment, eyeing her. She didn't seem mean, and she did resemble and sound like Meiko..
"Nice to meet you as well. Is this your cafe? It smells great."
Akito smiled happily watching you and MEIKO walk towards the cafรฉ, soon joining his band mates and meeting the other VIRTUAL SINGERS.
One by one, as MIKU, RIN, LEN, KAITO, and LUKA gathered to come say hi. At some point, the conversation had switched over to childhood memories, and LUKA had asked how old you were.
You opened your mouth to answer, but Akito was far quicker than you were.
"[Name]'s sixteen. They're only a few months younger than me and-"
"I'm seventeen."
The room went silent for a few moments, Everyone looking at you and Akito with wide eyes, and you felt a lump in your throat.
An was the first to pipe up, "We missed your birthday? Why didn't you tell us?"
"I did. I texted the groupchat that day." You messed with a hangnail. "I guess you all had ignored the birthday cake next to my contact name or the many pictures I took on my birthday. But you guys did also have a performance on my birthday, so you didn't have much of a chance to see me."
You looked up to glance at everyone. Akito looked away guiltily, Toya and Kohane looked worried, and An was surprised. RIN, LEN, and KAITO looked angry. MEIKO had frozen up, her hand hovering over the on button for the coffee maker while LUKA looked slightly confused. MIKU looked at the 4 of them, disappointed. When she locked eyes with you, she gave you an apologetic look.
Unable to handle the silence and embarrassment you felt, you quickly grabbed your phone and left the sekai, feeling the tears and watching your vision get blurry.
The next day, you woke up to knocks on your door. When you opened it, Akito and the rest of VBS were holding multiple presents as their eyes lit up when they heard the door unlocking.
Akito started, "Hey, [Name]. About yesterday, We felt incredibly bad for missing out on your whole birthday solely because we had people to perform for. I know it might be a little late for all this, but we got you late birthday presents and food."
Kohane added on, "Akito's right. We had all planned gifts for you in advance to your birthday, but we all know how that went." Toya spoke up as well, "Mhm. We truly hope you can forgive us, and we can make it up to you in this way." An swayed side to side slowly before speaking up, "Even if you dont forgive us, atleast take the gifts? You truly deserve them."
You couldn't help but feel a little giddy as you forgave them all and pulled all of them in for a hug. You let them inside and the rest of the day was filled with happiness, gifts, and pancakes. ( Thank Akito. )
This is the best ( really late ) birthday you've ever had.

at first , he stares at you with widened eyes , slighty on edge when he sees you in your distressed mood .
then , whispering an " i hope this is okay . " he quietly sits down next to you , and gently pushes your head into his chest , resting his head on yours .
as he rubs your back up and down , he awkwardly mutters " you can tell me about your day later . for now , just - . . stay here with me . "
depending on if you're crying or not , akito will rock you back and forth , scared of hurting you any more .
soon after , he will make you something small , like a sandwich , and a glass of orange juice to atleast put something in your belly .
he shrugs it off with a smile when you thank him , telling you how its the bare minimum .

X and you used to be very close when you were younger , but growing distant when you grew older . While you and Tsukasa had gotten closer recently , X had pulled you aside and demanded you stay away from him . But when he invited you to a sleepover , you just couldnt refuse him .
After a sunday full of laughter and playful banter , sweets and play - fighting , you had to go to school the next day , and you had forgotten some of your belongings at the Tenma household .
Finding you in the hallways at lunch , Tsukasa smiled at you , holding out your bag to you .
" Hey, you forgot your stuff at my place. I was thinking of dropping it off at your house, but a world future star just cannot miss practice. "
He smiled again as you giggled , taking your bag from his hands . As you walk back in the lunchroom , X's table was staring at you , with X glaring daggers into you as you simply waved and walked off to your own table .

Rui knew about X's existence , since he had noticed how they would glare at you when you're with him .

In a rush because you had a lot to do that school morning , you had forgotten one of your bags at Akito's house .
After school , Akito had to go see a teacher and couldnt walk home with you , so he gave you your bag at the school exit once the bell had rang .

You flushed lightly at the gesture , taking the bag and thanking him before you turned around to a lot of stares thrown your way , specifically X's stare .
You decided to wave him goodbye and rush out of the school before anyone could question you .

He noticed your reddened and embarrassed cheeks , but wasnt able to pinpoint why before he realized people were looking over at the both of you before letting out a whispered " oh . "
X was furious , not only because they had told you to stay away from Toya , but to be at his house had just left them stunned .

Opening your eyes in the Sekai , you were met with mugs filled with hot cocoa and marshmallows , candy canes , chocolate covered pretzel sticks , and the smell of christmas spirit ~ !
" Okay, okay. My turn to open my Secret Santa gift! " An said , hastily grabbing her present as Kohane giggled and Toya smiled , with Akito zooming in on her face with a camera .
As she unboxed her gift , she held up a gigantic mug , examining it with owlish eyes , turning it around to see her name imprinted on it .
" Ooh~! This is actually really cool-! Who got me this? "
Kohane began to giggle as An beamed at her .
" That'd have to be me. I was a little unsure of what to get for you, so I'm glad you like it! " Kohane replied, softly clapping her hands .
Akito soon reached for the circular shaped present with his name on it , looking up at everyone .
" Alright, I'll go next. This better not be something stupid. "
The second he began to unwrap his gift , everyone was waiting in anticipation for what it could be .
Akito's eyebrows raised before he smiled , raising up the different types of cheesecake on a platter .
" Hey, not bad! Not disappointed one bit. "
An began to giggle , making a fist pump .
" You can never go wrong in giving him cheesecake. Its an assured positive reaction. " She shrugged as Akito playfilly rolled his eyes .
Kohane gave a close-eyed smile , gesturing toward the 2 presents sitting on the table .
" You go ahead Toya! " " Oh, thank you. "
Toya picked up his present and brought it in his lap , shaking it and feeling something slightly heavy inside , quickly glancing at his bandmates .
" Dont shake it silly! It might give away whats inside~! "
Toya smiled , shaking his head before silently unwrapping his gift , bringing out a book with bookmarks to highlight page numbers .
" Thats the book you've been mentioning you wanted to read, right? You always ask me what I think about certain pages and lines, so I highlighted my favorite parts. Whats the word-.. annotating, was it? I did that. "
Toya nodded , smiling gratefully . " You're right. I have been wanting to read this. This is-.. really kind, Akito. Thank you. The annotations are a nice touch. I appreciate it. "
Akito smiled and nodded in acknowledgement as Kohane piped up .
" Oh! So this means Toya got my gift! Lets see-.. oh! It feels warm. "
Kohane smiled , picking up her present and unwrapping it , a familiar aroma radiating off of it .
" This smells like-.. "
She opens her box to reveal newly made peach buns .

a/n - i planned on working on this yesterday, and then i experienced an Unforeseen Event and now it's today. enjoy <3
At first, you two will definitely butt heads
Your similar personalities don't... mesh well, shall we say
It's not uncommon to see the two of you arguing over something pretty small either
But something's that's true for both of you is that you're total softies at heart
Even if you (lightly) mock Akito for his fear of dogs, you're still quick to take his hand and lead him away if you see one approaching
And if one of Akito's jabs at you cuts a little too deep, he quickly drops it and apologises
The two of you can definitely be tough on each other, but at the end of the day, you do really care about each other.
"...You know, you remind me of someone that I know." "Eh? Really?! Who?!" "Actually, never mind..."
Toya is very indifferent to your general rudeness and smugness
You being blunt is just how you are and he's fully accepted it
Plus, it's pretty hard to be rude to him in general, considering that he usually takes things you say literally
He's also not at all surprised whenever you start being kind to him
Maybe, Toya just knew you weren't the rude, smug person you portrayed yourself as
He understands you, in a way. I think he took one look at you and he instantly knew what kind of person you were
(Bonus points if your first meeting was you doing something sweet for someone and then immediately getting embarrassed that Toya saw it.)
Like Akito, the two of you will definitely argue, except this time it's over even more inconsequential things
You've discovered it's very easy to rile him up, and you take advantage of it to mess with him
"Oh no, Tsukasa, watch out! There's a spider on your shoulder!" "THERE'S A WHAT?! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF-! Wait, you're laughing!! You're lying, aren't you?!?!"
(You weren't actually lying, his reactions are just too funny. But he knocked it off while he was panicking, so you decide not to correct him.)
He just doesn't understand you. He thinks you're strange, which is a lot coming from him
His confusion only grows whenever you do something kind for him
Which is then immediately replaced by him getting emotional over you being kind to him
...Which involves a surprising amount of tears, you've come to realise.
Rui just thinks you're really funny
Neither of you are sure why he's so fascinated by you, but you've both accepted it
Any attempts to rile him up usually just get turned back on you somehow, so you've just given up trying to mess with him
He's usually never fazed by any rude jabs you make at him either
In a way, you both want to study each other under a microscope
Any genuine acts of kindness from you will actually shock Rui, though
He didn't expect you to be so sweet to him, after all. But he really appreciates it <3
...He might tease you about it later, though. All in good fun, of course.

You had originally visited at the Shinonome household because you were partners with Akito , building a 3D project for [ your choice ] .
But because the project had taken so much longer than you both had hoped for , Akito suggested you just stay over . Once your parents had agreed , your ' project time ' turned into a sleepover .
In a rush because you had a lot to do that school morning , you had forgotten one of your bags at Akito's house .
After school , Akito had to go see a teacher and couldnt walk home with you , so he gave you your bag at the school exit once the bell had rang .
" Over here! Here, you left this in my room last night. "
You flushed lightly at the gesture , taking the bag and thanking him before you turned around to a lot of stares thrown your way , specifically X's stare .
You decided to wave him goodbye and rush out of the school before anyone could question you .

You and Toya were close friends , visiting WEEKEND GARAGE every friday , and hanging out over the weekend .
You and the rest of Vivid Bad Squad decided to have a sleepover at Toya's house , playing Uno and watching An and Akito fight .
Amidst all the fun , you had forgotten an item or two at his house . And as the good friend he is , made sure to return it to you as soon as he could .
During passing period inbetween classes , Toya had come up to you at your locker and tapped your shoulder, stretching out the hand holding your bag .
" You forgot this at my house yesterday. Hm? What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? "
He noticed your reddened and embarrassed cheeks , but wasnt able to pinpoint why before he realized people were looking over at the both of you before letting out a whispered " oh . "
X was furious , not only because they had told you to stay away from Toya , but to be at his house had just left them stunned .

Shinonome Akito doesn't and hasn't loved.
He adores and loves his mother of course, and she reciprocates full heartedly. Him and Ena may constantly argue but they both know very well that they'd die for each other. But in an romantic context he's absolutely repulsed.
Akito doesn't want it. Music is above everything and everyone. Relationships can't compare to the fleeting moments of the spotlight during a showโnor the exhilarating satisfaction of noticing improvement after excruciating hours of practice.
It's such an ugly concept too. His father only hurts his sister, almost singlehandedly ruining her art career and being the sole reason she can't believe in herself anymoreโ all while justifying his actions with the excuse of love.
Akito doesn't want love either. The only enticing desire that ever came to visit him were self improvement. It's a satisfactory way of living. Unlike others he never suffered from pining for another nor struggling to pick up the pieces of his own heartโ it can't happen if he doesn't open it up to anyone at all.
It was futile thought, no matter how much he tried to follow that philosophy, or how long he's been able to abide by itโ because right next to him lies the disruption in his peace.
Sunlight bleeds through the curtains, illuminating your sleeping expression, Akito observes the gentle rise of your chest, entranced with your gentle breathing.
Romance is stupid. So is love, trivial and useless, if it hurt his family then why should he bother luxuriating in it. It's foolish, an utter waste of time, something only an idiot would bother pursuing.
Yet he finds himself here, remaining in bed just to stare at someone, despite the fatigue itching behind his eyes.
Even with your hair in a mess and your face lazily squished against a pillow, it's one of the most ethereal sights he's ever laid his eyes on. A sight only for him. Akito always adores how you look no matter what, but something about seeing you at full peace makes him smile a bit harder.
He hated it, loathed how you were the bane of his existence, the fault in his once flawless discipline. Akito always prioritises practice. He doesn't spend money unless it was for the sake of his performances. And he abides his strict sleep schedule constantly.
But here he is, hours past the time he usually wakes up, admiring the person he's probably spent almost tens of thousands of yen on, even if there's a bit of drool accumulating on their bottom lip.
Akito can go on about how much he hates you. Ever since you stepped into his life, he found himself skipping practice to hang out with you. Prize money went to buying you your favourite books, and the time reserved for picking out song lists went to binging all of your show recommendations. One of his solo shows were entirely forgot by him; all because he felt the urge to blurt out his feelings for you.
You're a flaw. A weakness. A falter in what he calls control.
Initially, he thought he lost it. With how he was constantly reminded of his infinite adoration for you, it didn't take long to accept.
Every detail of you is imprinted in his mind. Your rambles sooth his stress; you could be complaining about someone and it'd still be music to his ears. The way you express yourself is so sweet to him, as smooth as honey and saccharine like the summer air. Your touch is warm, a comforting spring night that flushes his face red every single time.
Being loved was just as addictive. No one's ever bought him flowers, or written him poetry or little love notes during class. He'd never kissed someone until you, nor laughed so hard until he gasped for air.
Through half lidded eyes he notices movement in your body, with a yawn your arms reach out to Akito, though not quite enough to pull him closer. He obliges to your motions, muscular arms wrapping around you as he plants a kiss on your forehead.
"Mornin'."
You respond with incoherent murmurs, burying your face into his warm chest, pressing against his now racing heartbeat. He stifles a laugh after seeing your reaction, patting your head.
A glimpse at the time and he knows he should probably go home soon. His mum must be worried after he stormed out of the house late at night, almost breaking down from hearing another argument invade the comfort of his room.
"I need to go." Raspy and careful, he whispers into your ear. "I'll see you at school." His movements halt as you cling onto his wrist.
"Stay. Please."
As if second nature Akito complies. His body obeys before he can even process your words mentally, returning to your initial position with him. He takes it as an opportunity to throw your blanket back onto you.
"Are you sure...? Didn't you have a morning shift today?"
"I wanna stay here with you."
And I would stay here with you forever, if I could. "I'll be here for as long as you'd like then." Another kiss. This time on your cheek.
"Can't go to work anyways." He asks why, mumbling with his face against your neck. "'m sick."
Akito withdraws. "Really?" Urgency wards off lethargy. Was he out of it? He didn't notice you cough or sneeze, and your breathing seemed stable too.
You nod, wearily. "Yeah. Lovesick." Akito flicks your forehead, almost instantaneously.
He ignores your complaints. "Idiot. Don't worry me again." He scolds you as if a smile wasn't tugging at his lips. "C'mon, sleep more. We stayed up late last night."
"Worry about yourself more. You literally carried me to my room because I fell asleep on the couch."
He shrugs it off. "You're not heavy."
In return, you scoff. "Still would've been more convenient to sleep there."
"You say that as if I wouldn't shoulder the weight of the world for your sake." His lithe finger poke your cheek. "One more hour. Sleep just that and I'll buy you lunch later."
"As if you ever let me pay."
Akito shrugs again, he'd do anything for you, that included making sure your wallet was never empty. His father was rich, might as well make the most of it even if he loathes him. "Bookstore as well, then."
You give in, surrendering to his deal. "Fine. Since you're so insistent."
And so he grins at his victory, tucking you in again and joining you. He intertwines his fingers with yours, calloused thumb stroking your knuckles as he whispers sweet nothings into your ear. Akito feels so relax that it finds it unsettling, it's as if he never broke down from hearing his family argueโ as if said struggles never existed in the first place.
Love is still poison to Akito, only you seem to make it appear so intoxicatingโ if it's you he'll allow himself to indulge in said venom, even if it puts his fragile heart at risk.

Akito was a total ass. Not in the pervy way like other boys your age, but he was just so damn stubborn and hotheaded, refusing to listen to anyone ever.
Sometimes, he blew up at you when he needed someone to blame, which often had you crying to An or Mizuki after school. It was a mystery to them; why did you stay with him when he always broke your heart like that?
What they didn't see was how sweet he could be to you.
The way his hands trembled so subtly as he wiped away your running eyeliner, a muscle ticking in his jaw with guilt. He tried to reassure you the best he could without his pride getting in the way, but he stumbled and stuttered, trying to tame his words.
For the week following his mistake, he came to your house every morning just to redraw the eye makeup he ruined that day. As if walking you to school every day wasn't enough.
On his way home, he always brought you to the cafรฉs that Ena always bugged him to visit, using the money he'd put aside from his part-time job to buy you whatever you wanted. You always insisted on bringing home some cheesecake for her, much to his dismay.
He never tried to charm you like he would to strangers or acquaintances; he could barely speak straight because he liked you so much.
On the contrary, he spoke in snarky comments or shy, grumbled compliments.
"You're so irresponsible," he would tease you, lowering to one knee to tie your laces or fix your leg warmers.
"What are you, five?" He snickered, leaning forward to wipe the crumbs from your lips.
"Yeah, I said you're cute. Don't pretend you don't know!" His face was priceless.
And God, was his sister annoying about you. Always with the nagging and scolding when he did something wrong. He dresses wrong for a date? She's on his ass about it.
But he was still thankful, in a way. The way your eyes lit up at a gift that she had suggested, or when you got all excited after he dressed up to match you on a date... it was thanks to her, though he hated to admit it.
You were definitely a handful to balance, from his job to his passion, but he wouldn't give you up. He tried once but couldn't bear it. His music didn't sound right, he couldn't sleep, and if people thought he was crabby before? It had nothing on him like that.
Before he knew it, you'd become something central in his life. Something he depended on. And even if he couldn't say it, he really did cherish you.
And you cherished him all the same.
