I must warn y'all I am (unfortunately) a dedicated monoshipper in almost everything, which makes me quite boring!

It seems like Funoe used to be really popular, but I get the impression it's because people were hoping he was like the male lead from a certain parallel-marketed series more than appreciation for the story and characters as they actually are; and then, when it was clear that he wasn't the male lead, people seem to have just lost interest entirely.

This blows my mind! Fugo is still such a great character, hella hot, with his own very interesting arc and friends and the sexiest best big brother ever! How is he not a tumblr sexyman or whatever??? LOOK AT HIM!!!

So I'm a little sad for the Funoes, that they went from an abundance of (even if not always totally in character) fan content to almost nothing nowadays. Not only that, but in part two he even says that she's cool and he likes her, but that's about it in terms of shippy interactions. That's so rough! 😭

And it's a solid ship! I mean, you have the rough and tumble demon with the spirited but elegant princess type. Like Caron and Noel, they grow to respect each other despite being so vastly different (and I live for ships with genuine respect !) That's a great combo! And they even look good together.

Frankly I just want to see more Fugo content. He deserves the attention he used to get, on his own merits! 😤

Overall it's not for me but I support the funoes so much and hope they have fun!

UH OK if im being honest i dont think ive actually read that much stuff with them together explicitly? like from what i can remember I've read In His Own Image and Peanut Butter Cookies (and Yesterday if that counts) so I feel like I'm not an expert or anything HOWEVER I do very much enjoy them. I used to not have very strong feelings on them but I've warmed up to them a lot and they have entered my Brain Space. and i. think the fan content absolutely had something to do with it (ESPECIALLY YOURS YOU HAVE REALLY GOOD THOUGHTS ON THEM DFJSHFSDFSDA) i mean like, it's this esoteric divine scientist woman who's destined to be the last one on earth or the second coming or some shit x just some dorky guy. they're stupidly sweet, they look very pretty together, its tragic, it feels very gay despite being a mf ship, its just all around a solid pairing. plus i think making the ghost au versions genuinely made me like them more as a whole lol (also oops the existence of the ghosts au has breached containment) if you've got article/fic recs id love to look at them! :-3

ok obviously i do like them very much as most talloran fans do HOWEVER i put down mixed feelings because i feel like some fan content tends to make them feel a bit...sanitized? if you catch my drift? (you are not included in that btw, i really like your vision of talloraven) like i like the cute shit a lot but c'mon make them a bit sillier, a bit weirder, a bit messier. that being said i do enjoy them very much. they are EXTREMELY adorable in Like Clockwork and POYF, cosmological bastions and all that. i just, i think draven is a very normal guy all things considered (which is absolutely not to say i think he's an uninteresting character or doesn't have his issues, i think he is very intriguing and he has a lot of layers to be explored, i just think he has very boy-next-door energy to me if you get what i mean?) and talloran is. well they're talloran. even before 3999 i think they were kind of a weirdo, just more interested in hiding it, and then just became fully esoteric and bizarre post-3999, and i just think thats fun. we love a puppyboy fixer boyfriend and an enigmatic weirdgirl joyfriend that's seen literally everything and killed god <3 also i am not the first to point this out but i find it interesting how intrinsically linked they are, if one shows up the other is not far behind, there is absolutely a lot to explore there. FURTHERMORE, THE O5 DIVORCE ARC IN THE RETIREMENT AU DRIVES ME INSANE??? LIKE OMG, IT'S RIDICULOUS ITS FASCINATING ITS HILARIOUS ITS HEARTBREAKING ITS JUST. SDAKFHDEUAFHUEIHFERIUHA. admittedly I usually view their relationship as platonic, but I do like romo clight and them in a qpr makes me go insane, actually <3 either way I rotate them in my mind SO FREAKING MUCH. what if we both had been repeatedly dehumanized throughout our lives and struggled with our humanity, what if we were both kind of assholes with really weird senses of humor, a fuck ton of trauma, and severe attachment issues, what if we just kind of understood each other in a way not a lot of other people we've met can, what if we were there for each other in the best way our weird dysfunctional afraid-of-vulnerable selves could, what if our fates were intertwined in some way, and what if we were both aspec and we spent decades in denial about it. my feelings on gearsberg are uh, mostly neutral tbh? they're very interesting narratively but i could never see them being endgame lol. their dynamic is just like, layers of bizarre and sort of fucked up, which is something i could really sink my teeth into but it appears a lot of gearsberg people portray it with a lot of fluff, and like i want to be clear I GET IT, i make shitty old people be soft with each other all the time, but for me personally it hasn't captivated me for whatever reason lol

as some of you might know, these two make me go fucking insane. this terrible horse with every disease and this autistic bear comedian have taken permanent residence in my brain, rip me. look ok just consider it. CONSIDER IT. like, herb had it BAD for bojack in the 80s, he would have moved heaven and earth for that guy, i just know it, and I'm fairly sure that Herb (and Charlotte) were like the first real functional and affectionate relationships BJ had ever had at the time, which like, makes me feel a lot of feelings. they work so well off of each other and I adore watching their chemistry. it makes me so sad that the stupid horse had to go and fuck it up to the point where it was no longer fixable (like seriously BJ what the hell. you broke his dang heart and took the kids in the divorce. and then he took your favorite stim toy that also symbolizes your relationship). they were both so instrumental to shaping how the other turned out and, not to be a sap or anything, i think they took a piece of each other with them when they split. or something idk. i do. i do like to imagine aus where things didn't go completely to shit and somehow bj manages to be better and things work out better and they end up a weird old couple who might not necessarily have actual nieces or nephews but are certainly uncles in spirit. idk just. i think about them often. i know you've already read them possum but to anyone who hasn't i would highly recommend harps17's bjhm fics, they kind of sealed my fate of having brain worms for these two

I'll do the one I keep seeing people use most!

I honestly love Edling, it's currently one of my favorite ships in regards to FMA; I don't really ship Ed with anyone else if I'll be honest (Edwin is nice, yes, but I also think of their relationship as more platonic and familial. When I watched fma a while back I remember thinking "oh, Ed and her are such siblings! She's like a big sister to him! Are Ed and Rosé gonna kiss?") Edling's also what kinda dragged my ass back into the Fandom, I started reading edling fics and was like "oh fma how I missed you" and then the brain rot started.

I can see platonic Edling, but personally I think of them (outside of Canon obviously) as romantically involved. I see them as lovers, idk what else to say.

Ling is probably a flirt, Ed gets really flustered until he finds a few cheesy flirts from a book and tells them to Ling; Who in turn either busts out laughing or genuinely flushes by it. I see them as lil cheesy idiots, Ed getting easily flustered at something such as (scary, I know, absolutely mind boggling that he and Ling would do such a thing) hand holding or little cheek kisses. Idk they're stupid kids, and once they're adults they're just clingy messes to each other whenever they see each other (That's if the fiction has it so that Ed visits Xing sometimes but he doesn't stay and stuff. Idk I just woke up.)

I also see their dynamic as, if I had to put it in a way, Ling being poetic and sappy about love and such (We see him talk so strongly about friends and such, so I genuinely think he's a big romantic) whereas Ed is just like "uh, ok I don't know what I'm doing and I feel like exploding". I see Ed as non-comprehending of romance in the sense of he only knows from what he remembers of before Hoenhiem left. Or he does understand the basic outliers of what romance is (I don't put it past him to delve into studies of it when he gets into a relationship or even feels like he's considering it).
