Ugh, childhood friends. . . Doomed by the narrative. . . The layers ughhhb like I love the idea of a Jotakak situation where both are reincarnated or if the events of stone ocean reset the original universe back on itself instead of making it a whole new thing— like, instead of it being completely changed it simply restarted, like re-reading a book. Nothing changes, and when you get to the end it’s the same.
But maybe after the billionth time this happens, after Jotaro drowns and everyone melts away in this big cosmic event, something does change. A little, very small thing. A rock moves two paces to the left, there’s a rainy day when there was supposed to be sun. Whatever. And Jotaro is in the same primary school with Kakyoin, introducing himself because he saw him make a pencil float and wanted to know how.
Kakyoin, being too young to have complete acceptance of his loneliness, asks him if he can tell him a secret.
And he does. And they become best friends. Things change. But the ending doesn’t. And then the story ends, and the book closes, and Jotaro is six, sitting with Kakyoin in the sandbox at recess. They’re promising they’ll get a big house on Mount Fuji, and they’ll stay up there forever.
“Will there be dogs?” Kakyoin asks. He knows Jotaro loves dogs.
“Yeah. And lots of big, super tall trees.” He knows how much Kakyoin loves climbing trees.
“Okay. Can I have the upstairs?”
“If we have one. . .” He thinks about it, “We can share. You’ll have the top bunk. So then it’s fair.”
And then he’s gripping Kakyoin’s hand in his as he watches the sun dip and dive about the sky like some neurotic dolphin. His head is tingly and the water against his back cold. Kakyoin isn’t holding his hand back.
He thinks the end of the world looks a lot like a spinning top, and he wonders what it would look like, seeing it from the branches of a big, super tall tree in a house on Mount Fuji. . .

I thought I'd be fine and just chug water and take Ibuprofen, but I almost passed out at work lmao.

I don’t know guys. I’m bored.
~Yato tends to push off his illness if he thinks it’ll inconvenience either himself or anyone around him, (which happens all the time, because he always has things to do.) But once he’s finally reached his limit of hiding it, he’s a whining and complaining nightmare. He makes it hard for people to want to take care of them, wishing he’d kept it to himself a little longer.
~Yukine gets very grumpy when he doesn’t feel well. Since Yato isn’t able to sense when the regalia is sick, he can always depend on the sudden outbursts of anger and bad attitude aimed at him. Even while resting, Yukine doesn’t want Yato, or anyone for that matter, near him. He feels disgusting and vulnerable. No one needs to see that.
~Kazuma is a blessed vessel. He can’t just “take the day off” and spend it lying in his warm, soft, welcoming, bed… Veena needs him to be on guard at all times just in case anyone decides to penetrate the shrine. He can hold out just a little longer…
~Daikoku knows when his body is used up to its limit. He understands that he’s no help to Lady Kofuku if he’s ill, so he might as well take a day off and rest up as much as possible. He tries not to be around the god in fear of getting her sick as well.
Never knew it was possible to have inflamed vocal chords and how the f*** did I even manage that? But hey, im on medical leave for the week, have the order to not open my mouth to speak. So, I can write some sick!Character things. Mood. Im bored... not talking is way harder than i expected....
I'm really sorry for not making many posts as of late.
I wanted to let you guys know that my brother has caught Covid and our cat Rainbow is showing signs that she might die soon; similar signs that Fred gave us when he was struggling to move or eat, almost anything, really.. I'd like to be able to cover the cost of her future cremation and getting an urn for her as soon as possible. Any support at all is greatly appreciated 💚

I wanted to let you guys know that my brother has caught Covid and our cat Rainbow is showing signs that she might die soon; similar signs that Fred gave us when he was struggling to move or eat, almost anything, really.. I'd like to be able to cover the cost of her future cremation and getting an urn for her as soon as possible. Any support at all is greatly appreciated 💚

**Update 1**
I noticed that Rainbow's front top-left tooth looked crooked and out-of-place, so I told my mom and she checked it out a little. So Rainbow's tooth is loose and she may need to have it surgically removed by the vet. And according to articles I've read, there will be some aftercare costs that would have to be covered too.
We don't know how much time Rainbow has left, but we can't bear to see her struggle like this. Please consider donating to help me and my mom cover all the expenses if you're able

**Update 2**
My mom and I went to the vet earlier this morning and we were recommended to go to a place that specializes in dental work and stuff for dental x-rays to check where "the tooth has broken off" as the lady at the vet said. But they're of course closed tomorrow 🫠
The dental place also covers things like bloodwork, so we'll get that checked out as soon as we can as well.
Hopefully she'll be okay in the meantime with the painkillers and antibiotics we got. The little dry patch you can kind of see in the second photo is from all the drool she's been having lately. It was especially bad today as far as I know.

**Update 3**
Rainbow has grown more weak in her back legs and is unable to clean herself after using the litterbox. It may have something to do with her teeth and she can't lick properly anymore, but my mom has to physically wipe her clean like she did with Fred when he was still alive. She hasn't been walking around much anymore either.
We tried to get in contact with a dental place, but her body seems to be failing her more with each day, so none of us know what to do. She probably doesn't have that much time left. I only hope we have enough painkillers and antibiotics so she's not hurting in her final days. Please help us keep her from suffering.
Again, any help is really appreciated or just spreading the word if you can means a lot.
