Relating to my last post,
While I was eating dinner tonight I started brainstorming.
You know how the big, original Baymax focuses on physical healthcare by doing body scans and diagnoses and all that stuff, well what if there were a small version (like my little diy dude) that focused on mental health?
If you know Vector, the desktop robot, then I imagine it to be similar in the sense that a personality develops overtime and it is small enough to roam your desk/ household.
It would remind you to eat and give suggestions of meal options - possibly based on your fridge inventory if it can have access to that information.
It would also keep track of events and appointments you tell it about. It will then use that to customize a bedtime and wake time.
This is useful for a lot of reasons, so I definitely feel like it is a must.
Depressed people tend to oversleep and need to be woken up accordingly.
Anxious people take comfort in predictability and routine.
Other conditions (e.g. DID) benefit from routine and predictability as well.
It's simply a healthy habit to go to bed/ wake up at the same time and make sure to get enough sleep.
Mini Baymax can suggest activites to do so if you have ASD and hyperfixate it can help with those interests. If you have ADHD and start fixating in something then Baymax can react to the situation and either go along with it or help get you back on track.**
Tying into that, another symptom of depression is a kind of ennui, so mini baymax will suggest activities like watching your favorite movie or texting a loved one. [Fun fact: people with anxiety tend to watch favorite shows and movies repeatedly because they already know what's going to happen ~predictability~]
Overall, they are just squishy, soft companions small enough to take anywhere with you. It's just nice to have someone to share a meal with or watch a show with and just kkow you arent alone. It helps if they are cuddly.
*I'm not super educated on ASD/ADHD/et cetera, so idk what exactly baymax will do. I'm sorry :c I'm working on educating myself on those.
