This is an oc from @askthecuisson-ler ‘s and I’s botw rp.
for a bit of knowledge, soleila, (sol-lay-ah) is one of sidon and link’s offspring. in our rp link was able to procreate with sidon by means of the zora mask (reference majoras mask) and by means of protandrous(ism?) in which only certain strains of zora can both impregnate and become impregnated but not the entire species is a hermaphrodite (usually alpha species).
so put 2 and 2 together and this little girl was born between the modern zora of botw and an extinct variety that hasn’t walked the earth since the time of OOT. (or majora’s mask in this case) So she would have the genes to control the vajra “lightning” passed onto her by these means.
Aside from her being the only zora to pick up lightning arrows she does have an affinity for music and loves to collect stones and rare coral from the bottom of hylia lake.
To sidon’s dismay she is a bit of an adventurer like her father (link) so its hard for her to keep still. when younger, often trying to train with the royal guard, instead of learning to be a proper princess. She is first in line for the zoraan throne, she does have a younger brother but due to his disposition he is not able to claim the throne. (when i make his character sheet it will be obvious)

I saw @skyfangz zora growth cycle and wanted to chime in with some key lifecycles for soleila. Conveniently leaving out the awkward frog years hee. She definitley has the making of a queen with that long head tail (a throw back to rutelas design) Soilela belongs to me.

I love drawing these two together, id like to think if they were from the same universe or were able to meet in a universal ocean crossing or something, they’d have a close sibling kinship.

someone is a little stubborn when it comes to bed time stories, soleila loves to hear stories of hopeless romanticism, and sidon loves to gush them out.

I remember @zeldahijinks asking me if soleila ever tripped over her tail.
the answer is yes, quite a few times, but the real danger was when she wasn’t holding her tail and running excitedly through the palace halls, like her father, she tends to wag her tail when excited, and that thing is like pure muscle; so there were many a royal staff who were brutalized either by being accidentally tripped, or smacked, by her ladyship’s tail.
eventually sidon and link make it a requirement for her to carry the lethal thing until she gets her growth spurt, but there were still casualties.

some “hairstyles” for soleila, she doesn’t always just have her head noodle flopping behind her.
a concept i thought of was once like every 5 years she grows a mess of bio-luminescent fibers on her head, much like hair. The concept was again, derived from rutela, who had coral like barnacles on her fins instead of smooth fins, so again, hc being, royal lines have gene differences in which they have abnormalities in their appearance, so for soleila, she too grows fibers, but with her hylian genes its much finer and glows much brighter.
no worries though! if she doesn’t stand her glowing “hair” there is a special type of seashell that when rubbed against her scales, will release dead scales and fibers, leaving this princess smooth and pretty!
