Some handspun glitter yarn I made. This is before plying it together to make it thicker and stronger!
Currently it's being knit up as part of a holiday sweater that I've been piecing together on and off. I will be so happy to share it when it's done and I can cozy up in it! I lost some steam, but the thought of having a colorful sweater that sparkles underneath twinkling holiday lights is so enchanting, I'm holding on to that for motivation.

I once read about how steaming your roving reintroduces some of the original crimp.
So i tried that. And oh boy was it fascinating
Here you se 10grams of polwarth roving.
And in a basket to show how cute and tiny 10grams are
(this is a dramatic break for enhancing the drama)
After i steamed it:
THIS IS THE SAME 10 GRAMS BUT STEAMED!! FUCKING AMAZING
Also videos of the process (3 times as fast to see it better)
I really need to make an experiment where i spin the same fiber steamed and non steamed. And THEN spinn two yarns u steamed and THEN steam one of them to see if, yarn that got spun out of steamed fiber behaves different then yarn that got steamed AFTER spinning
My most recent batch of handspun. It’s a bit hard to see, but the darker pink and gold yarns have glitter (Angelina) added to them. These are currently being worked into a sparkly and joyful little sweater for myself.
