The best of friends

I told you I was good at crocheting!
Knitted Balaclava π

made with a stockinette stich and a 2x2 ribbed stich ( in the right pic you can tell the tails were not weaved in )

and added a sparkly fur trim to make it extra cute π (it looks way neater after weaving in the tails + I didn't block it cuz I'm a gangtser π )

Used Egyptian Cotton as my main yarn in the colours PΓ©trole and Blanc 1, the grey and the light blue were leftovers from another project π¦

The other project being my first ever knitting project which was also a balaclava, back when I had just learned how to do a pearl stich haha guess we all have to start somewhere π₯΅
another knitted balaclava with a fur trim πenjoy the knitting process π

The yarn I used is a cashmere and merino blend exept the light green one is wool and personally I'm not a big fan of wool but I picked it up because I needed a 3rd colour

Cute beige summer crop top with clouds knitted with the intarsia method with 3,5mm needles
Here's the knitting process

Used a very neutral beige as my main yarn and a more warm toned white for the clouds

Ink with yarn

The whole gang is here ππ
callout!
hi. fibre friends i need ur help. im doing an ethnology assignment for college about knitting folklore, more specifically the Sweater Curse! I need to interview folk for it, so if you would like to maybe have a chat (over text) about your experiences or what you know about the Sweater Curse that would help me out big time π
In exchange i will send u a free copy of my mystical horn pattern!
help would be appreciated!

I'll preface this update by saying that this is only the second sweater vest I've made.

So yeah, there's some wonky tension and I slightly fucked up the arm holes, but... Pretty pleased with it.
People have asked about a pattern and I uh. Didn't think I'd ever share my shitty graph paper scribble that I copied from a junk mail envelope but here we go. THERE ARE MISTAKES that I was too lazy to correct and just fixed as I worked, including the numbering.

Next step: bind off the shoulders and then I have the joy of the ribbing for the neck and arm holes.

Sweater vest attempt number two is going well

Due to reasons, I've had to audit my yarn hoard and ended up having to make an Excel spreadsheet just to keep track of all the different brands, types, colors, and which colors had multiples skeins. This has taken days.
I'm finally done!
Working on a last minute add-on to my collection of birthday gifts to my little brother. He loves yellow and took my solid yellow skein of cotton yarn to practice crocheting a wash cloth after I taught him a basic stitch when he asked me to teach him. This will hopefully be the kick in the pants he needs to finish his washcloth so we can move on to the next stitch. Bonus: him adding his completed washcloth will make him a set.
