Mundane Meditations #1 - Olives on a plastic cutting board
Not my usual thing on here but I decided I'm going to start a series of meditations on things I see day to day. Every couple weeks or so I want to take the time to appreciate the little things in my life
Here's the original pic and the salad the olives went in haha

It's a still life painting. Our class had to draw it on 18" x 24" paper first. Then we had to take a picture of it and print it out on 11" x 14" matte paper. This had to be attached to a masonite board and had matte medium painted over it. The final result was painted in oil painting.

One of my figure paintings I made in high school.

Another figure painting I did in high school. I think I painted this my junior year.

I remember doing this painting in my sophomore year of high school. This was officially my first painting and I did this in school. I thought it turned out really well and I decided to give this to my dad as a Christmas present after it was finished.

Still life painting I made in my 2D class. This was painted on an illustration board with gouache.

This is a painting I made a couple of months ago and I just got it back from my teacher.
The original painting is titled, Seville Orange, Silver Goblet Apples, Pear and Two Bottles Painting, and the artist who made it was Jean-Baptiste Simeon Chardin. His painting is placed after mine. What I had to do as part of my art history assignment is to make that painting and have it look as if it’s a Cubist painting.

A watercolor painting I made a few months ago. I still like how this came out. This still life painting is suppose to show objects based on me.

A still life painting I made last year.

I made this for one of my classes. This was made with acrylic paint on a 20″ x 30″ canvas.

I made two small grayscale paintings for my Painting class. I used a palette knife to make them.
Both of them were made with oil paint. This was the first time in years that I’ve worked with this material.

Since I’ll be stuck at home for a while, I’m going to resume uploading artwork. Here are two still life paintings I made in my Painting class.
Both of them were painted on 14″ x 17″ mixed media paper with oil paint.

This was a 3-week project I worked on in my Painting class. This was painted on a 22″ x 30″ canvas.
Here’s a photo of the still life I used for this painting.

I sketched this painting a few weeks ago but I was finally able to paint this. I was originally going to use ink only but I thought it would look better in watercolor.
