SU Au/Headcanon Idea

In which Smoky Quartz’ special ability is to amplify Steven’s healing power enough to heal corrupted gems.

*Steven’s healing power could be “watered down”/weaker than Rose’s because he’s half human. Which is why Stevonnnie wouldn’t have this amplifying ability.

*Smoky Quartz could amplify his healing power to be even stronger than Rose’s since they might end up being Steven’s most stable fusion with another gem.

*If Smoky Quartz could heal corruption, the first gem they could heal is Jasper. Amethyst would be able to be a part of the fusion that helped her “sis” and they could all three get a good head start on making amends/getting along.

This probably won’t happen in the show, but it’s really cool to think about! ^ u ^ Please let me know what ya’ll think. < 3

Steven Universe: The Movie Thoughts and Basic Review

Best Parts-

* The Soundtrack, obviously. Every single song was a jam. The Crewniverse really does not mess around like damn.

* Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth are still getting along really well!

* Steven's new outfit.

* Little Homeworld. I'm so happy all of the uncorrupted gems have a place they can stay on Earth. (I'm guessing some of them went back to space as well.)

* The Diamonds' are shown trying to make things better for their gems. I'm proud of them. (They still have a long ways to go though I think.)

* Era 3 being official. We knew it was gonna be a new era of peace after Change Your Mind but it's  still nice to have confirmation.

* The uncorrupted gems constantly being shown interacting with the townies in the background! Subtle but sweet. 

* Finally a new Steven and human fusion! We got so many Steven and gem fusions in Change Your Mind that I was really hoping for another human one. And it was Steven and his Dad! How touching is it that Greg finally got a chance to experience fusion for himself? 

* Spinel! I was surprised with how much you grow to love her in the movie. The trailer made it seem like she was going to be just unhinged and annoying but oooh boy she's actually just a troubled sweetheart. Protect this baby!

* We finally see Amethyst's first form and see what she was like when she first emerged.

* We know a bit more about how Pearls work now! (Though I still wonder whether or not they're made the same as other gems??)

* We got to see more of Steven's weird geometric shaped shields that they showed in Change Your Mind. (Definitely seems like they're building up to something with those...which is exciting!)

* So many good memorable quotes. It's hard to list them all. But whoever you are, you most likely found one that resonated with you and I really love how beautifully motivational yet heartbreakingly real the series has been as of late.

* Opal returned! (I'm sure a lot of people are even more excited about that than me lol.)

* Nanefua continues to be a good mayor! 

* Sadie's faded hair looks so good! I think that's her best style yet tbh and I kind of hope she keeps it like that. Also Lars' hair is even fluffier which is a delight. (And there was a bit of a hint at the end that they might be together?? But idk. Still, it's really nice to see them getting along after all they've been through.) 

* Connie's parents trying to be supportive of her interests! It's always nice to see parents in media supporting what their kid wants instead of always trying to push their own agenda on them. Plus her mother was really opposed at first and a bit too strict so it's lovely that she's starting to change that and be there more for Connie- It's so sweet and refreshing.

* Bismuth finally got a song! Lapis and Peridot both have had a pretty decent song before in the series so it's nice to see Bismuth getting to take the lead for one in the movie.

* They finally show the villain not being redeemed by being friends with Steven specifically. I know a lot of people have been saying that they didn't change the status quo on that but I think they actually did. Spinel even states that she can't really be friends with Steven now, that she messed that up. She's really redeemed by reflecting on her actions on her own and realizing that she still just wants to be a good friend to someone. And in the end she makes the change by giving both herself and the Diamonds' a new person to love so that they can all finally start moving on after Pink, not by being buddies with and clinging on to Steven.

A Few Complaints-

* I was kind of hoping Lars and the Off Colors would have a bigger role. (Hopefully we'll get to see more of them in the next season.)

* When Steven was talking about change in his speech towards the end of the movie I really thought they were building up to him flipping his gem around. Especially since it would parallel not only his mother but also Spinel. (Let's hope they're just saving it for a later date.)

 * I already listed the gems we didn't get to see in a previous post.(Along with Connie's parents.)

* They never really explain where Spinel got her poison injector??? (Maybe they’ll explain that in the next season but idk I kind of doubt it?)

SU the Movie: Pearls Speculation

So in Steven Universe the Movie we see Pearl being 'factory reset' along with the rest of the original crystal gems. Pearl's is the most interesting, however, as we see how all Pearls probably emerge after being created. And, more importantly, how they 'imprint' in a way on whoever they were made to serve aka their owner.

You choose what you prefer to be called by your Pearl (Which they will then add "My" in front of in respect.) and then choose the Pearl's setting. (Which I'm guessing is their starting personality? Or maybe how they look?)

No matter who's nearby, it seems that whoever speaks to the clam AI thingy first is the one who the Pearl 'imprints' on? 

Which really makes me wonder how easy it would be to steal a Pearl made for some other gem...especially if that Pearl accidentally forms/emerges early and you happen to be nearby. Though I'm guessing that would most definitely be a crime worthy of punishment by Homeworld's standards. (Also they could use those scythes seen in the movie to undo the theft, but it's still interesting to speculate about nonetheless.)

Also based on this AI settings system Pearls have, which is a much different way of emerging than most gems, it still makes me wonder if Pearls are made differently...

Mini Steven Universe Theory : Lapis’ Next Fusion?

Now that they've become a solid trio, what if Lapis' first healthy fusion is actually a three gem fusion? 

Maybe to help her feel comfortable enough to fuse again she'll need the support of not just one but two people she trusts and loves: Peridot and Bismuth? 

(This could also be Peridot's first fusion, which could have been foreshadowed when Garnet offered to fuse with her. Garnet and Peridot would have also resulted in a three gem fusion being her first fusion. But it wasn't the right time for her yet...and perhaps...not the right other two gems?)

Another Steven Universe character that has a lot of parallels with The Collector from The Owl House is actually Lapis Lazuli!

Both were sent to a new world by their superiors for what was supposed to be a fun and/or relaxing time.

But instead both got caught in the middle of a war between two powerful factions that they never signed up for.

Both were confused/mistaken as the enemy by those who they wanted to be their allies. And was consequently trapped away in an object.

Lapis was then found and used as a tool for the Crystal Gems. While The Collector was found and used as a stepping stone for his plans by Belos/Philip.

But then finally they were found by someone younger, a little kid who would eventually become their first ever real friend.

And that friend broke them free from the object with powerful force. Freeing them at last and destroying the object in the process.

Some days ago i did this tweet about how The Collector from TOH is similar with both Pink Diamond and Spinel….

Because i saw people saying they are like Spinel or like Pink Diamond (kinda,  before WaD aired) but honestly they are munch like a mix of both….

For Collector and Pink Diamond, it’s because they are the more small/younger member of the group they were (The Diamond Authority and the Archivists) and not wanting to follow them in they ways (Playing instead of following the Collectors motto in FtF / Wanting his own colony and after changing his mind while discovering life).

And for Spinel and Collector: They were later tricked into something in which they were left alone (or trapped) for thousand years before meeting people who love them (in the case of The Collector, it’s after Belos found him, and with his backstory in WaD) …

I’m not sure if i explained this well, but i hope it’s understandable…

I think Jasper is defective

I mean... She's the only jasper who's gem isn't round... And even with that she was "the perfect quartz"

I definitely can see she just accepting it like "I'm perfect, it's just that all of them are just weak defective jaspers"

Why isn't anybody talking about this?
