“Y/n you’re working late again right?” Your roomie sunghoon asks you.
You found that suspicious. Was he planning to someone over you thought. But who were you to care it’s not like you guys were dating …. Yet.
“ yup, why?” You say
“ no reason” he responds blandly.
“ okay then bye hoon” you waved before leaving the apartment.
- at work
“ Hey can someone cover for me today?, I promise I will return the favor”
“ of course y/n but what time do you plan on leaving work early?” Your dear friend tomoya ask you. As you thought, you decided 12 would be a good time since sunghoon would still be up.
“ 12:00am”
“ mk y/ninne”
Your brain was still stuck in the fact that sunghoon has double checked if you were gonna be home the next morning.
You worked while continuously looking at the clock. You were a bit worried to see what you would found out. A part of you wanted to hear something you shouldn’t. Which was sunghoon palming himself. You mentally slapped yourself for thinking like that. ‘ Get your head out of the damn gutter’ you told yourself. There could be something more important than that.

As time went by 12:00am hit. You packed your stuff up and waved moya(tomoya) goodbye. Then walked home.
When you arrived at your building stopped before going in. You don’t know exactly why but you felt like you were gonna interrupt whatever sunghoon was doing.
You went in through the main entrance and walked to the elevators. You pressed the button and waited for it to come down. Which didn’t take long, Since you only had 4 floors in your building. The elevator opened. You went inside and pressed the button 4.
The door soon slided opened and then you walked to your door. You got your key from your bag and put it into the door then opened it.
You went into your home silently has possible but that didn’t matter since sunghoon was still in the same spot ehen you left which was in the living couch.
You immediately saw sunghoon with his feet up to his chest and his head resting on his knees. You heard sniffling sounds comming from him.
Out of nowhere he spoke.
“ I thought you were coming home in the morning” he said.
“ well good thing I didn’t” you said softly while walking to him. You went to your knees and looked at him. He wouldn’t look at you which was understandable considering he was crying.
“ Hoonie what’s wrong?”
“ i don’t know i just feel like im burden and I get on peoples nerves”
“ Hoon you are literally the complete opposite of that” you reassured him.
With that’s he finally looked at you. He had super red eyes and a pink around them.
“Who even made you feel like that?”
“ So at practice today I couldn’t get the choreo right and the members kept saying things to me like| “no one has time to be here all day”, “ bruh this shit is super easy”, “ oh my god it’s literally always him”| I just couldn’t take it no more. I needed to let it out. So I figured this time would be the right time. Since I would be alone and wouldn’t be embarrassed for cry you know.”
“ Sunghoon don’t let there nasty words get to you. You literally are the best dancer out of all of them. Also you shouldn’t be embarrassed for crying. Baby you could come and I’ll make you feel better.” You smiled at him.
‘ y/n why’d you call him baby? Your so stupid!’ You thought to yourself.
“ thanks y/n i appreciate you a lot for that”
“ do you wanna come to my room and we can watch movies and eat candy?” You ask him trying to cheer him up.
“ mhm” he nodded his head.
“ come then”
You got up and grabbed his hand. You squeezed it and walked to your room.
“ go sit down in my bed”
He sat in the middle of the bed and waited for you.
“ I have to change so just turn around okay?” You say.
He nods and turns around fully.
You grab sweats and a hoodie and change into them quickly.
Once you were done you tossed your dirty clothes into the bin and hopped on the bed. Sunghoon jumped a little at the surprise of you. He turned around and saw your new clothes.
“ so what do you wanna watch hoon?” You ask him.
“ what ever you wanna watch” he tells you.
“ nope not an answer” you scolded him softly.
End. this is really bad i know.

I just reread dungeon picnic chapters and I have to admit I love hj-yj's relation after hj's birthday arc and am so fucking obsessed with it that I totally forgot what a jerk hj was before. And I often tend to forget it while writing fanfic too. I was trying to find a balance between caring shj and jerk shj and I thought I was doing a good job, but after rereading....
He's a total bastard, that shj-
He's frustrating to write- I love him- I hate him- but I love him-
I want him to be a jerk, but I NEED the nice shj too🥲
Wait, what if WHAT IF when Yoojin sorted Hyunjae's memory, they were going through places he visited, they were in front of Yoojin's old house right? So WHAT IF Hyunjae saw the memories of past and knew about what kind of relationship he had with Yoojin pre-regression when they were talking in that Switzerland landscape?? AND when Yoojin gave his memories to him at his bd party, he remembered that again??

Writing a fanfic is hard. Cause- what I want to(am dying to) write are the chapters revolving Sung Hyunjae's birthday(which appears several events later), what I am writing is Taewon's backstory(which will unfold when through 3/4 of the story), while in reality I'm stil stuck in the introductory phase of the fanfic🤦♀️
