The gang consisting of Bonnie, Elena who was drinking, Damon also drinking bourbon, Stefan, Caroline your older sister by ten months who hasn't aged since Katherine killed her with vampire blood in her system, and you, one of the humans (other than Matt who was working at the grill right now) in the group who only recently discovered the supernatural when your sister vamped out in front of you months ago on accident.

You smirk a little feeling a glare burning into the side of your skull from Caroline when you sip at the bourbon Damon freely offered you.

"What do you think your doing (Y/N)?" Caroline demands as you have been acting out a bit since discovering all that's been happening around you under your nose and everoyone keeping you out of the loop because your human, like that means anything.

Rolling your eyes, to which, Damon sees and sends you a smirk, raising his cup of bourbon to his mouth knocking it back with you in unison.

You smirk when you hear your sister's gasp in your ear on your left knowing you got a reaction from her.

"That's it, you're cut off." Caroline stats using her newly acquired vampire speed to take the empty glass out of your hand before you could get a refill, and placing it next to Damon, before vampire speeding back next to you on the couch with you in the middle of it and her occupying the left of it leaving the rest of the couch empty.

With a groan you look at your sister, "Seriously?"

Caroline gives you one of her patented Caroline glares that promises that she'll have a long and lectured conversation on how underage drinking is a no. Let alone even accepting one from Damon of all people.

With a huff you roll you eyes whispering, "Whatever," under your breath forgetting that the vampire's in the room who are Stefan, Damon and now Caroline can hear you.

Caroline opens her mouth to start reminding you that she can hear you when she is suddenly cut off by the door opening and closing along with someone's dreaded arrival.

"The cute one's here." The unanimous Katherine Pierce stated as she strutted into the lounge room where she knew the usual gang will be.

Imagine her suprise when she sees you there sitting next to Caroline and look there's an empty place next to you.

Of course Katherine knows who you are. She made sure to do all her research before showing her face in this dreaded town and let's just say even though she was brought back to this town to give Elena over to Klaus and as an added bonus the Salvatore brother's were here.

You were something that caught her attention. Maybe she's imaging it or not, but she feels some pull towards you something she can't explain. She knows this much though, she wants you and she gets everything she wants.

Katherine pulls her hand away from brushing your hair behind your ear to turn her attention to Damon.

"You want to cut to the chase? Okay, let's cut to the chase. I'll give you what you want if you give me what I want. And before you start, I know what you want, after all, that's the only reason you'd call me over here. You want information on the big bad roaming Mystic Falls and I want a date with someone in this room. It's that easy." Katherine says making herself comfortable on the couch next to you.

"Look I'm flattered, but I love Elena and I'm not going to date you. Not now, not ever." Stefan interjects as he reaches over to grab Elena's hand sending her a loving smile as Damon watches on the sidelines with a grimace as he drinks some more bourbon.

Katherine chuckles making the gang become silent. Why is she laughing at the fact Stefan, who in the past, she has claimed to have feelings for, rejected her?

"Oh poor, sweet, innocent Stefan I wasn't talking about you and most definitely not you Damon." Katherine shuts down her past play toy because that's all that the Salvatore brother's were to her, play toys, just some thing to play with as the time passes.

You all gain confused looks on who she wants to go out with as she just shut down the two males in the room, leaving Elena, Caroline and you.

Caroline quickly putting the pieces together. "No! No you aren't taking (Y/N) out for a date that's out of the question. We will just find another way to get information then."

"You can't do that and you know it. I mean who else has to die in this town for things to get done?" Katherine points out a crude but valid point at least to you.

"You're being awfully quiet over there what do you think. You are the one that has to endure a date with her if you do." Damon points out, bringing the attention back to you.

You are silent as you look around the room gauging your friend's and sister's reaction to this choice. You going out on a date with one of the baddiest bitch in town in order to stop the other baddie.

Shrugging your shoulders, is when Caroline knew what you decided after years of knowing your behavior she knew that you were going to go on a date with Katherine Pierce the vampire bitch who killed her, and unknowingly, turned her into a vampire. She's fearful for you because your not fearful for yourself at least not right now.

"Sure, why not. But, make sure to leave nothing out on the other baddie Katherine." You point out since she has in the past left things out on purpose.

"Oh of course not, darling. I'll pick you up at later at your's."

Tilting your head to the side in faux thought you regret that idea not wanting her to have any reason to be invited in yet or letting your mom, the sheriff, see her.

"No. I'll be picking you up from here at 8. Wear whatever it doesn't matter." With that you stand up from the couch, sending a wink Katherine's way leaving the group speechless at what just happened.

"You can't be serious?!" Caroline screeches out hearing the door shut behind you as you go to get ready.

Rolling up in your car out front of the Salvatore house where you didn't need vampire hearing to know that inside Katherine is most likely getting under Damon's skin.

It was a short ways a way from the boarding house. You look at Katherine in faux seriousness after parking in the lot.

Katherine doesn't her survival instincts flaring to life thinking it was a trap, as she watches you steadily get out of the walking to her side, only to open it offering her your hand.

Katherine relaxes raising an eyebrow at your actions. Honestly, she was expecting one of the Salvatore brother's or Caroline to jump out by now.

You feel Katherine grasp her hand in yours as you shut the car door behind her, leading her hand in hand inside the bar.

"The grill? Your surprise is greasy, oily food?" Katherine asks, unimpressed, even though she's masking how your actions are making her feel.

"As a vampire Katherine you should know by now that the night is just getting started." You send a smirk her way one that makes her feel a fire in her stomach.

Through out the night your attention was focused on Katherine even as your friend's and sister blew up your phone.

You only sent them one text back in a group chat that you are fine, on vervain, and will text them after the date while they deal with stopping the big bad before turning off your phone to focus on the date.

By the end of the date you and Katherine are walking hand in hand as you swing your coupled hands around town square under the stars without a worry in the world like you've done this a thousand times.

"You know you surprised me tonight." Katherine whispers out into the silent night in a rare moment of weakness.
