No wait bc I feel like this needs to be said. Because tampons were literally pushed onto me to the point where I felt bad and weird that I continued to use pads. And they weren’t even pushed on me and abnormal amount, I would say. It was just stuff like it sort being expected that I would make the switch as I ‘grew up’, was the only option I really heard about on TV the rare time it was brought up, etc.
Did it effect my life significantly? No, but it made me feel bad. Which is stupid, bc like OP said pads are better in a lot of regards. Literally for the pay off of a little mess that’s easily dealt with in the shower you can use it for a whole nights sleep without having to get up, can generally leave them for longer, and have no risk of literally losing/forgetting it inside you.
But yeah, point being that ocot is right, we should let people choose for themselves, but also we are not currently doing that and we need to acknowledge that pads are fine and in some regards even good.
You know what I'm just gonna say it.... pads are better than tampons, everybody needs to stop lying
