I HAVE
A GRAVITY FALLS
AU
The biggest change is, Bill appears to Fiddleford, either because he's smarter, or because it's easier to get him to make something, once he's attached to you. Once Bill has Fidd in his pocket, Fidd calls up Ford but he's skeptic, so they never met face to face. Instead of Fidd getting pulled into the portal by accident, it's his son, trying to find his lost dad with his mom, he wanders too far, hits a button, bam, he's gone. Bill finds him, learns who's kid it is and keeps like away from others, until not even an hour later, when Fidd and his wife are fight, Fidd gets pushed and finds Tate, Bill being long gone. Fidd and Tate spend 30 years in the Nightmare realm, while Ford, having been concerned when Fidd stopped calling, bagan to look for Stan, not wanting to loose someone he, even slightly, cares for. It took about 5 years for Ford to catch him, but when he explains to Stan, they get in a fight, about who Ford never cared till some other smart guy goes missing. They part and Ford spends the next 15 years, trying to get the notes Fidd made. Next time Stan swings by, he has the last page Ford needs. They fight over it and brake it, Stan leaving quickly meaning he has part of that page. 3 years later, Ford finds him again and steals the page, now able to fix the portal. 4 years later, about 3 years before the show, all thats left is the fuel that Stans normally steals in A Tale of Two Stans. Ford tries to find Stan again for 2 years, to help get the fuel. He gives up on the third year and starts to plan how he'll get the fuel, when he hears Dipper and Mabel are spending the summer.
It's past 12 at night, I'll make more posts about this later, also need a name
The simultaneous fluff of Gravity Falls’ fishing community being Tate’s safe space and support
Vs Stan having no idea why every GF citizen who semi-regularly visits the lake hates him
Legend of the Gobblewonker theory
Sometimes I wonder if the reason that the guys at the fishing lodge "don't like or trust" Grunkle Stan is not just because he has a shady reputation but because he thinks that he is Ford.
Tate would despise and distrust Stanford Pines because as far as he was concerned Ford the reason his father abandoned him and his mother and then lost his mind. Tate is clearly super involved in the fishing community. I mean, he runs the tackle shop. If he hated Stan everyone else would probably side with him.
Tate, mad at his dad for not being present in his childhood, loving him but not being able to forgive him so easily: don't contact me until you're ready to be a father...
Mcgucket, who can barely form complex thoughts: wga fddbz nzz you're so silly kiddo :) *builds killer robot dinosaur*
Ok so I have this idea for a Gravityfalls au and I'm a little obsessed with the idea right now so let me know if anyone wants to hear more about it 😖
(I have no idea if anyone's done this yet, but if so pls lmk bc I'd love to see it)
ANYWAY HERE IT IS, ENJOY WHILE I WORK ON HOMEWORK!!!!
Basically, it's an au where Dipper and Mabel get kicked out at sixteen by their stepmom(?) and end up walking around before ending up in front of a house where Emma-May Dixion (Fiddleford's ex/Tates mom) lives.
She takes them in and she calls Tate down from GravityFalls to help her find a place for these two kids and he recognizes the two from when they spent a couple summers down in GravityFalls, so he says he'll take them there so they can stay with their great uncles.
Obviously, the twins are like excited and happy to go to GravityFalls to see their grunkles, and so Tate does as he said, promising his mom he'll keep her updated.
Over the journey back to Oregon, they all sorta bond, and it's nice even though Dipper is tense and very guarded while Mabel is just happy to go to a proper home. When they arrive the twins are greeted by worried grunkles and questions by their friends on why they're back in the fall instead of the summer, they don't say much but enough to let them know it wasn't good.
During the course of the twins settling in the shack, it's really complicated. Now that soos and his grandmother are living in the shack and Ford and Stan as well, it's incredibly crowded. Especially with Fiddleford coming around at times, mostly to check on the younger twins, but still.
Mabel eventually feels pretty good after a couple of days, but Dipper, on the other hand, is super tense and quiet. The only person who can get him to answer a question or to talk is Mabel, and it's really awkward for everyone in the house who isn't used to Dipper being so..different.
Later on, the Mcguckets and Pines make a small outing plan in celebration of the twins being safe and everything going well.
They end up hanging out by the lake where Tate works, and Dipper separates himself from the group because it's all just too much for him.
Dippers, too, in his head to realize Tate is sitting next to him, and when he does, he jumps and sort of just watches him from the corner of his eye.
The two make small talk, which soon morphs into them talking about family and fathers and all kinds of things. It doesn't take long for Tate to get attached to the two twins, they're really great kids.
Soon enough the conversation of how the grunkles most likely cannot be their legal gaurdians comes up and the twins are like devastated, but here comes Tate suggesting he could take em in.
Mostly because if he does, they'd still be related if Fiddleford and Stan are together. So really it's not a bad plan at all, Mabel is loving it because she honestly loves spending time with the man and she thinks it'd be nice to get him as a dad and be able to call Fiddleford grandpa.
Dipper, though, freaks out. Internally of course because he doesn't want to bring his sister down but he's secretly terrified because yeah Tate is a cool guy and he's super nice and his dad is also cool but at the same time he kinda barely knows the guy and he hates the idea of some guy just taking him and his sister away from his grunkles.
Like yeah he knows Tate will most likely let them see their grunkles but he's also terrified because he's started to like Tate and he's caught himself a few times thinking of what it'd be like to have him as a dad but he pushed the thought away as soon as it came.
It's not like he was scared that when Tate does adopt them and legally gets to be their father and all that, hell regret it. Dipper knows he's stubborn, knows he lashes out when he's upset, how he assumes the worst in almost any scenario, how he can't do anything like his sister.
Dipper knows that once Tate takes them in, he'll see how Mabel is the better twin, and he'll kick Dipper out and then never want to see him again. But no, Dipper is not scared of any of that. Whatsoever.
It takes a couple of fights and a few breakdowns, but they get there, Tate adopts the twins and makes them official McGuckets.
They all celebrate with a small party and it's a little rough, Dipper hasn't called Tate dad yet but that's ok because Tate is a patient man and he knows it's a hard transition anyway.
But when the time comes when Dipper finally calls Tate "dad," he most certainly doesn't cry.

Okay so I really should be asleep right now but I suddenly remembered looking Tate (McGucket's son) up on the wiki and finding these tidbits and I don't think we pay enough attention to this.
In the Shmeb-you-unlocked page, it is revealed that he guesses the correct Oregon State Lottery numbers every year but doesn't tell anybody.
He scored so high on the SATs that the grading machine exploded.
He has the ability to predict the stock market and weather patterns.
Like, someone will have to correct me if the wiki is wrong, but if it's not, this is just absolutely fascinating to me.
Tate is at least as intelligent as Fiddleford and Ford. He could be up there breaking the laws of physics and rewriting modern science with them, but he just... Doesn't. He seems perfectly content to just quietly work the ranger station in a sleepy middle of nowhere lumber town. He has no interest in the renown and glory Ford was after or the scientific progress Fiddleford worked towards.
I can't help but wonder if it's just the way he is, or if he saw exactly what a ruthless pursuit of knowledge did to his dad and "Stanford" and decided he wanted none of it.

Tate deserves to punch Ford so I drew it, felt really therapeutic <3

he was his father's greatest creation.
Happy thanksgiving folks, hope you chapter 2 of my holiday fic. Tho like chapter 1, this came out year, i still hope you enjoy!
duuude i just realized. soos being adopted by stan + fiddauthor means that soos and tate would be cousins. i think thats cool and makes sense. like imagine soos being at the tackle shop fixing a lightbulb or something yapping about some random bullshit and tate's just sitting there running the shop listening and occasionally nodding. that just makes sense. they would definitely have that older/younger cousin dynamic. they even have the same outfits even though theyre just employee uniforms but shhh let me dream
fiddtober day 4. this one took longer than i expected

i drew this instead of sleeping and i have no regrets.

(backle design by @slightlyartist)
fiddtober day 13. much like day ten there is a whole au behind this that i can give more info on if requested.

“WHAT A WASTE OF ARMY DREAMERS.”
I was watching a gravity falls edit compilation and saw an edit with this song and immediately realized…dang *proceeds to spend half of the time making this trying to find that damn screenshot of Stan being kicked out by Filbrick*
I might finalize this and make it an animatic

This is all based on the storyboard i made for Kate Bush’s song Army Dreamers. I saw a Gravity Falls edit with these dorks in them and thought…”damn.” And decided to make it a thing

Alright, I’m trying to figure out an animatic I’ve had in my head (song from adventure time) and decided to rework the lyrics a bit to suit the two (Fiddleford and Tate)
So in the mean time have these very happy lyrics that Fiddleford would mentally sing to Tate in said animatic :)

Tate McGucket from Gravity Falls is aplatonic
Au where Tate has a kid, because why tf not??
