Some Vote Blue twit called me a "fucking moron" for telling people to vote third party and said it would "only guarantee that nobody respects your opinion ever again" as if continuing to vote for the status quo party is somehow more respectable? And I get people are going to go on about "bUt If ThEy HaD a MaJoRiTy ThEy CoUlD dO mOrE!!!1!" yeah ok they could send more money to Ain'trael? That's what you mean, isn't it? Because they certainly wouldn't be trying to help us. The motherfuckers could have done literally anything, used any loophole, expended SCotUS and packed it with liberals to dilute conservative power there, and you wanna know something? Biden used an executive order to send more aid to Israel after Congress voted against a bill for it, but never did anything of the sort to help people here.

Wanna know something else interesting? If a third party gets at least five percent of the popular vote, they'll be granted federal funding.

Do these people think just voting for Democrats for [X] number of election cycles will just magically fix everything? As if they think that the system used to be good but is now broken? News flash, homies, THE SYSTEM IS WORKING EXACTLY AS INTENDED. THERE IS NO "FIXING" IT BECAUSE THIS IS AN INHERENTLY UNJUST SYSTEM AND THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION IS TO TEAR IT ALL DOWN AND START OVER FROM SCRATCH.

But I guess these Tumblr liberals aren't ready to hear that truth and would rather accuse actual leftists of being some kind of Russian or Chinese psyop.

This blog supports defacing, tearing down, and destroying statues of slave owners, colonizers, confederates, dictators, and everything piece of bastard memorialized as a hero.

"But they're important parts of history!" And so is tearing them down.

"But how will people learn!" Through a fucking history book? By going to a museum? By doing anything that isn't reading a barely legible plaque on an ugly statue?

"You can't apply modem standards to historical figures!" They knew what they were doing was terrible and evil, and now they're still being celebrated for it. If they're being honored in modern times, then they can judged with modern standards.

"It's shallow and performative, we should be doing things to make real change!" Destruction of violent symbols has been part of social change since forever. Every single social movement has involved publicly and violently destroying things like flags, statues, uniforms, even whole buildings as a form of protest and a demand for change.

The old and dead must be cleared for new growth. We cannot move forward while continuing to honor the orchestrators of violence and hate.

On June 30th another set of graves was confirmed at the site of St. Eugene Mission residential school near Cranbrook, B.C. Ground penetrating radar found 182 graves, adding to the discoveries already made in Kamloops, Brandon, Regina, Cowesses, and Lestock. With this new confirmation and memory of all the others, multiple churches and statues of colonial figures have been burned, painted and toppled.

This week fires burned down a church near Edmonton and a church near New Hazelton. Fire damage occurred to one near Halifax and two near Calgary. 10 churches in Calgary were also hit with paint. In Vancouver, a catholic church was covered with orange paint on the night of July 1. Edmonton saw at least one plaque of a colonial figure, John Oliver, hit with paint, as well as a statue of a pope. Hamilton had a statue of John Macdonald painted. On Canada Day, a number of victories were claimed against colonial statues. People in Victoria pulled down a statue of colonizer James Cook and tossed it into the harbour, and in Winnipeg a crowd pulled down statues of both queens Victoria and Elizabeth.
