This makes me think... so the public school system in Australia actually intends to make people hate learning and therefore go get a low paying job and stay in poverty and therefore submissive to the upper class... Also, by this logic our government system is designed to keep the poor in poverty, keep them in shitty jobs or not having one at all, beating them down either way, ruining their self esteem, driving people to literally unalive themselves (see: centrelink robodebt, it was a real thing a couple years ago and had a lot of casualties), drive up the prices of housing and food to the point people are living on the actual streets while the rich get richer and more tax exemptions, systematically breaking down the average person until they're completely submissive, and if you want to have a chance of escaping this cycle and go to uni for something you can make money off, you'll likely be in debt to the government for the rest of your life and you're at their mercy because they could turn around and demand that money back at any moment or even create more debt just like the robodebt hell that Aussies went through a while back. This society is designed to benefit the rich, keep down the poor, keep the poor uneducated and hating the very thing that'll get them out of it (learning), stop them from thinking about just how hard they're getting fucked by the system, while the rich slowly siphon every cent of funding from things that belong to the public such as the NDIS, public hospitals, and public schools into subsidies and benefits for the already rich, the greedy fuckers that keep demanding more for no other reason than that they just *want it*. Also, the public mental health system is designed to break down down mentally ill people until they can't take it anymore and either give up or unalive themselves, breaking them down with medications that don't work and drug them up to their eyeballs to keep them placated and obedient to the system. The psych wards are designed to be violent, awful places, leading people to either spend what little they have on private health insurance (hence the minor subsidies that make it slightly more affordable), but even then they're not much better most of the time and are still designed to break down the mentally ill because they're "unstable" and are probably the most likely to lead a riot against the system and therefore need to be controlled the most. Meanwhile, politics and ideologies are mostly distractions that are meant to keep us fighting with each-other, to stop us from uniting against the system and tearing it down once and for all and making one that actually benefits the general public and not the greedy rich motherfuckers that pay to train themselves and their offspring to more easily fuck the rest of us over. That's one hell of a theory, dude.

Very tired of hearing about what the intentions are. If a system constantly produces a different outcome than the one it is "intended" for then it's perfectly reasonable to assume the actual intention is the outcome it continues to produce.

Don't mistake this for me not voting or voting GOP. I am voting for Claudia de la Cruz and Karina Garcia in November. I refuse to take part in this "lesser of two evils" bullshit, because that will NEVER fix anything. I am voting for the candidate who best aligns with my interests and beliefs.
And before you say "you're just throwing your vote away to the other guy": no, I'm not. I'm voting for Claudia; the Electoral College are the ones handing my vote over to somebody I didn't vote for.
"There's not enough support for third party candidates to be viable!" Okay, and? Am I supposed to just not vote for who I really want because nobody else is voting for them? I'm not gonna just sit and wait for the rest of the population to decide they're ready to vote outside of the two-party norm.

And fyi I did vote for Biden last time because I witnessed firsthand all the terrible things Trump did, and I regret it. I hate him only a little less than I hate Trump.

At the height of the Greek crash in 2011, staff at Viome clocked in to confront an existential quandary. The owners of their parent company had gone bust and abandoned the site, in the second city of Thessaloniki. From here, the script practically wrote itself: their plant, which manufactured chemicals for the construction industry, would be shut. There would be immediate layoffs, and dozens of families would be plunged into poverty. And seeing as Greece was in the midst of the greatest economic depression ever seen in the EU, the workers’ chances of getting another job were close to nil. So they decided to occupy their own plant. Not only that, they turned it upside down. For a start, no one is boss. There is no hierarchy, and everyone is on the same wage. Factories traditionally work according to a production-line model, where each person does one- or two-minute tasks all day, every day: you fit the screen, I fix the protector, she boxes up the iPhone. Here, everyone gathers at 7am for a mud-black Greek coffee and a chat about what needs to be done. Only then are the day’s tasks divvied up. And, yes, they each take turns to clean the toilets. When the workers consulted the local community about what they should start to produce, one request was to stop making building chemicals. They now largely manufacture soap and eco-friendly household detergents: cleaner, greener and easier on their neighbours’ noses. Staff use the building as an assembly point for local refugees, and I saw the offices being turned over to medics for a weekly free neighbourhood clinic for workers and locals. The Greek healthcare system has been shredded by spending cuts, its handling of refugees sometimes atrocious; yet in both cases, the workers at Viome are doing their best to offer substitutes. Where the state has collapsed, the market has come up short and the boss class has literally fled, these 26 workers are attempting to fill the gaps. These are people who have been failed by capitalism; now they reject capitalism itself as a failure.

Biden used an executive order to send more aid to Israel after Congress voted against a bill for it, but never did anything of the sort to help people here.
Wanna know something else interesting? If a third party gets at least five percent of the popular vote, they'll be granted federal funding.
Do these people think just voting for Democrats for [X] number of election cycles will just magically fix everything? As if they think that the system used to be good but is now broken? News flash, homies, THE SYSTEM IS WORKING EXACTLY AS INTENDED. THERE IS NO "FIXING" IT BECAUSE THIS IS AN INHERENTLY UNJUST SYSTEM AND THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION IS TO TEAR IT ALL DOWN AND START OVER FROM SCRATCH.
