Rey is a Skywalker. Star Wars is, at its core, about found family. Rey is part of the Skywalker found family, and if you ignore that, then technically speaking, you shouldn't view R2 as a Skywalker either
I just put on a playthrough of CV1 as background noise for drawing and I have realized that I can tell exactly where this guy is in each level by sound effects alone. He just missed a secret chest.

+ At first, Fenton was completely, and i mean COMPLETELY, freaked out. After all, he had fought as Gizmo with Gabby some times in the past and now his m’ma wanted to adopt her???? She’s super dangerous, m’ma what are u thinking???? He only really stops being awkward about it when one day he brings her to the lab and she helps Team Science improve the Gizmosuit with chem and creativity )without being really aware that is the gizmosuit). So, in the end, Fenton kind of embarrass his ‘lil sister’ with his admiration and usual bubbly self.
+ Gabby has this huge, HUGE platonic crush on Goldie. She’s her idol. M’ma suffers a lot from this. Especially since Goldie and M’ma have some kind of rival/love relationship (not hate, they just want to win all the time lmao).
+It took M’ma a whole lot of time to make Gabby warm up to her. Donald actually helped a lot with that since Gabby felt in debt with him for the whole Glomgold fiasco and open up with him.
