Just as the day was coming to a close yesterday, God smiled on D.C. A full rainbow after all of the cold rain that hounded us. I snapped this just as I was driving down P Street. NW. This location is the intersection of P and 7th Streets NW.

I think it pisses God off when you walk by the colour purple in a field and don't notice it. Celie: You saying it just wanna be loved like it say in the bible? Shug: Yeah, Celie. Everything wanna be loved. Us sing and dance, and holla just wanting to be loved. Look at them trees. Notice how the trees do everything people do to get attention... except walk?

don't get me wrong i am VERY excited for the color purple musical film it's gonna rock so hard but also. im gonna need the trailers to stop being like "look at this cute sister story <3 <3 <3" because halle bailey is probably gonna be in like 15 minutes of the film total and the rest of the film is just. every trigger warning possible. and i feel like people should know that going in
