I love and hate sebarial. Because like. He’s hilarious, funny, treats his people like people, and really doesn’t do anything. However. He doesn’t care about anything. He doesn’t care about people who get hurt, people who die, anything.

I wanna document my reading of Mistborn! The only books in the Cosmere that I’ve read is the Stormlight Archive (I know a lot of people would question that reading order but idc I loved it).
Anyway I’m about halfway through The Final Empire and here’s my thoughts: (spoilers!)
It’s somewhat safe to assume that the epigraphs are written by the Lord Ruler, right? From the book that Sazed translated.
Sazed mentioned that the Lord Ruler made sure that the language Khlenni was wiped away, alongside others, but the fact that Khlenni was the Lord Ruler’s language before he became who he is idk he’s hiding a lot for sure.
I’m so intrigued by Sazed, and just the Terrismen in particular.
It seems as though the Lord Ruler was this prophesied hero, if the epigraphs are by him which, if this is the case, is sooooo interesting.

Elend Venture hmmmm. At first I thought he was just no good, then Vin found his book and is beginning to think he’s a rebel or at least a skaa sympathiser. I’m not too sure where I stand, but I am suspicious of Sazed and Kelsier’s vehemence towards him.
There has been such a big theme of betrayal in this book - Vin and Reen, Kelsier and Mare - so all I can think about is who is going to betray who next?
I love being a fangirl so much !!!!!!!! Nothing makes me happier than obsessing over nerdy things !!!! I love being on tumblr with like-minded people ^_^
The Final Empire reading update part 3! (chapters 21-23)
I keep going so back and forth with Elend >_< Vin made me SO nervous when she started telling him about the system skaa use to escape and their thievery groups and whatnot. I was so sure that was it. Then we overhear his meeting talking about how he wants the noble houses to team up and overthrow the Lord Ruler??? Surely that was genuine, unless he knew Vin followed him… but Kelsier has been listening to these meetings too APPARENTLY.
Speaking of - Kelsier has me sooooo suspicious. I need to know what his deal with Elend is. Like, he is so quick to say how unimportant and insignificant Elend and his group are which makes me believe the exact opposite.
Alsooooo atium??? I feel like Kelsier wants it for some other reason than the reason he is telling everyone. I mean it’s pretty obvious he is up to some secretive stuff but I cannot, for the life of me, figure it out.
What on earth could “the Deepness” be??? He described it as mist in the chapter 20 epigraph but it can’t possibly be that obvious.
I have so many questions. I am suspicious of everything anyone says.

Chapter 34 HELLO??? There is no way Kelsier just died what…. Let’s hope the eleventh metal is some kind of resurrection tool huh. I’ll eat my hat if he actually is dead dead forever there’s no way
Okay I’ve finished The Final Empire…
I’m waiting for Kelsier to pull a Gandalf in the next book, but idk, it seems like Marsh has undertaken that role.
I truly expected this whole ordeal to be a three book thing but I guess the next two are going to be Vin doing what the original ‘hero of ages’ should have, if the titles are anything to go by.
The theme of betrayal seemed to be somewhat of a red herring! Like how we found out the past betrayals of the main characters weren’t actually what they seemed to be. Although I guess the hidden betrayer the whole time was Rashek.
I don’t know if I’m just being dumb and missed it but did they ever find out what the Lord Ruler was hiding in that room in Kredik Shaw?
Still lots of questions to be answered!
“It may be that killing the Lord Ruler was the easy part…” has me stressed for the rest of mistborn

The best part about reading a Brandon Sanderson book is that every time you read it around someone else they are obligated to say some form of “wow! Big book!” and it brings back gifted kid™ emotions i haven’t felt since the accident
