The Faeu - Tumblr Posts

Original concept. and I’m just gonna roll with it from here based on vibes
So I made them spoopier. I made them a little bit more silly goofy. I take your cartoon logic and make it fae logic. Well. Less logic, more vibing. We like to keep our eldritch horrors funny here.
These two are not responsible. They should not be made responsible for a child in any capacity.

They had a little pact and a fun day about it!
Unfortunately, Timmy didn’t read the terms and conditions. Children tend not to know any better. Granting wishes for an adult would surely take a downright Pixie amount of convincing and dealmaking. Good Timmy didn’t bore them with pesky things like follow up questions.

The whole fairies thing didn’t really sink in until the next day. Timmy really made a wacky adoption pact with whole ass fae creatures and assumed he was imagining it. Sure it felt weirdly real and out of control, but daydreaming be like that sometimes. His frame of reference says yes.

Timmy’s godgrandparents suck but atleast they have the decency to make themselves fairly perceivable. We love the bare minimum of not blowing up a child’s brain. Grandparents of the year, truly.

I’m reveling in the biblically accurate x-rays from a new wish. They really understand my vision. But I want them to go a little to the left about. I need them to get less Bible and most Lovecraft.

So uh. Timmy is very lucky actually. In that he is entertaining. The alternative sucks. Your Fairy Godparents don’t have to like you, after all.

And when they had their fill, when boredom creeped back in, they left him there. They left him with a broken body that pretends to function. And a mind that pretends it isn’t half gone.

They totally know what they’re doing!

They make up the difference by magically lobotomizing anyone that thinks about it too hard, don’t worry.

Accidentally fucked Vicky over in this au by making her more neglectful and dismissive than outright cruel. If she was just the worst person in the world, Cosmo and Wanda wouldn’t consider retribution until they actually cared about Timmy. Unfortunately, Vickey’s disinterest towards something they find to be extremely entertaining is a pretty grave insult.
Also, just as a whole, I toned down Vickey.
She still sucks, mind you. She’s a huge dick. But it’s an unfortunate situation.
Vickey’s parents suck just as much as Timmy’s do. Problem is rather than being super understanding and sympathetic about they’re shared trauma, she just doesn’t register that that treatment is bad.
To her, Timmy is more than old enough to take care of himself. In her eyes, she’s just there to make sure he doesn’t get kidnapped or run away or something.
So, when he starts asking her to do any of those things she’s being paid to do, she gets snippy and pissed off about. Because, Timmy is obviously just doing it to be annoying. That voice in her head telling her she used to be just like him, is clearly calling her out for being whiny bitch child, not trying to get her to give this kid the support and attention she never got.
Then there’s clearly some horror movie shit going on in the Turner house. And it’s surrounding Timmy. And it fucking sucks for her specifically. Vickey hates that this is her problem, now. She can’t help but feel like his parents should be handling it. Trying to stop the fae from abducting your child feels like the bare minimum job of a parent.
This whole situation allows her some perspective on what child neglect looks like, at least.

They all call themselves fairies. Considering that they are all fairies.
There are three courts, for lack of better term.
Fairies are divided amongst the three, ever since an incident surrounding one of the four fae royals. The following council, would prevent any repetition of the incident. The remaining fairies were allowed to sort themselves amongst the remaining three royals, deciding the restrictions that would be placed on their magic.
Those that threw their lot in with the younger sister, were seen as the weakest court. This court, so often demeaned with labels such as troll and anti-fairy, would remain close to nature and their magic would be tied to superstition. Theirs wanted as little do with humanity as they could manage.
Those that sided with the brother, were seen as a bore. This court, mockingly called pixies, would be weaves into the working of humanity. Theirs was industry and deal-making and influence the bureaucracy that kept it all in motion. Their magic wasn’t spectacle; it’s was versatility.
Those that chose to follow the older sister, were seen as gluttonous and hedonistic. This court, that was only entertained by the sneered title of imp, would focus on being known. Their magic left a mess wherever they went, making humans believe in them, making humans fear them, making humans love them. They were the only court to create new fairies, changelings that would be sorted into one of the three courts based, not on any choice of their own, but on whatever bets the council had made.
After annexing of the fourth royal, all magic use at the hands of the fey became wreathed in laws and rules and oaths and promises. Complicit and consenting, they were reduced to spirits by their own hands.
The fairy mind was a bizarre thing to comprehend.

I can make her worse :D
Timmy is unpredictable. Cosmo and Wanda can’t tell whether he’s going to have a I wish for a horse day, or a I wish I had the means to torture and torment someone that mildly offended me day. And the life lessons simply don’t stick. In short, she’s extremely entertaining and kind of perfect for them, so somewhere along the lines they realize they actually really want to invest the time and energy necessary to keep Timmy around.

And she has a massive fucking crush that doesn’t really add to the plot but it’s fun so. Trixie’s here.

Why was she actually pretty cool?
Not really related but, as I the only one that find it weird just how many characters have blue eyes in the show. It feels like that isn’t a thing I should be able to notice.
