This And Thorin, Please? :)

This and Thorin, please? :)

You're standing before the entire population of Erebor, to be wed to the man who has your heart and your soul.

Thorin is looking at you, his eyes beginning to fill with tears. Your heart is pounding in both terror and excitement.

You lift you hands palm to palm, and then slips your fingers between each others. The binding ceremony is about to begin, and then you will finally be one with Thorin.

(Thank you for sending this in, love. I hope this was right and that I did the game correctly.)

Touch Starved

Touch Starved

Fandom: The Hobbit

Pairing: Thorin Oakenshield x Fem!Reader

Warning: Fluff, smutty undertones, sexual inexperience, insecurity

Summary: You and Thorin are awake one night and things take a rather intense turn. You find out that Thorin has never been touched by a woman, or indeed someone he loves. Being so touch-starved means that Thorin is full of doubt and insecurity.

Notes & Comments: As always, if you wish to be added or removed from my tag list, please let me know. This is just a quick piece that I needed to get out of my system before it consumed me.

Now that you were in Lake-town, on the very brink of success or failure, you wanted to let Thorin know in some way that you would do everything in your power to help him to the end. Thorin Oakenshield had become intwined in your heart, nestling deep inside. You no longer feared his outbursts or even felt anxious when in his presence. He made you serene somehow, as though your soul could rest when with him.

The Master of Lake-town had accepted you all with welcome arms, and you had grimaced at the slimy bastard's charming words. The man made your skin crawl, along with his aide, Alfrid. As soon as the younger man of the two had clapped eyes on you, he grinned, showing off big yellow teeth that made your stomach churn.

It was quiet now. The Dwarves had been celebrating, downing plenty of alcohol. The last you had noticed was Bofur asleep under the table and Bombur asleep on the toilet, still holding a bottle of ale, half full.

You stepped out into the cold air, pulling your clothing in around yourself tight.

"It is late," a familiar voice came.

Thorin stepped up behind you, and then placed his hands on the wooden rail of the balcony which gave a view of the row of houses opposite and some of the town further back. Large strips of ice had formed on the water and little flurries of snow were dancing on the early winter breeze.

You could see much in Thorin's expression: apprehension, worry and perseverance. Nothing would stop him getting to the mountain; his birthright was waiting in the form of a crown, but what price was he prepared to pay?

Without a further thought, you placed your hand on Thorin's. You wanted him to know that you were just as dedicated to him as those Dwarves sleeping in Bard's house.

In that moment, you felt Thorin's hand jolt ever so slightly. But he did not move it away. Instead, his eyes remained locked on your hand, and slowly you rubbed his hand with your thumb. Thorin gasped, only slightly, but it was enough for you to hear him.

You whispered his name.

His eyes met yours, finally. Those beautiful blue eyes that you knew you were madly in love with. He seemed unsure, embarrassed. A flush had risen on his cheeks. He swallowed hard and then averted his gaze back to your touching hands.

You were well aware that Thorin didn't have a wife. But surely he had lain with women. Such a beautiful man would have had women swarming around him. Everything about Thorin made you weak, and instantly recognise that you were so helplessly in love with him.

And then your own insecurity took hold. "I'm sorry," you said, pulling your hand away. "It was improper of me to do that..."

"Touch me again," he asked, his voice deep with something that you hadn't heard from him before. The edge of his voice was tinged with just the faintest touch of what you felt to be lust.

Then as your hand reached for his, you could see the sheer anticipation in his face. You stopped.

"Please," he whispered.

"Have you been touched by a woman before?" you asked. It was the underlying question that you needed to ask, and an answer you were desperate to know.

"I am ashamed of the answer, but, no."

That feeling which you had had since your first accidental touch was confirmed. It left you speechless, saddened by such an honest admission.

With a sudden surge in confidence, you picked up his hand and held his palm against your own. The heat and the electricity was so palpable between you both. It made shivers of anticipation shoot up your spine. Then you laced your fingers between his, drawing your two hands together as one.

Thorin couldn't help but gasp again, and then close his eyes. Being a Dwarf meant that tactile sensations were always intense, and being physically connected with someone he loved so ardently meant that he was so full to the brim with joy.

You remained a little shocked by Thorin's response to your touch, but continued on, taking the lead. You leaned your head to him and placed your lips against his cheek, and kissed softly. You were greeted with a soft moan and exhale.

Thorin opened his eyes and caught your gaze against his. You smelled divine. Despite having travelled so far with little to no sanitation, he could still smell something sweet on your skin.

You kissed him again and again, peppering his cheeks and nose. Until you came to his lips, slightly hidden under a well-trimmed beard. That was when you felt his all encompassing self-control break. You kissed hard, and Thorin's arms wound around you, drawing him flush against you.

Within seconds, and you both became utterly breathless.

Thorin's beard tickled against your lips and his tongue meshed against yours. The two of you seemed to meld into one, your forms curving against each other.

You wound your hands in his hair and that made him groan even louder and in response, his hand cupped your breast. This made you press even tighter against him. And then his lips slipped down your neck, kissing and licking at your bare neck. "My love," he gasped, having lost his breath in the turbulence of your passion.

His hands wanted more. He needed more contact with you. The tips of his fingers pushed inside the small hole between the buttons of your shirt, trying to get at your breasts.

You could feel Thorin's arousal for you, hard against your hip. And it heightened your own sensations and the pulsing got more intense between your legs, thumping in time with your rapid heartbeat.

"I need you," Thorin groaned. He pressed his forehead to yours, a sign of deep connection within the Dwarf race, of which you recognised.

"I love you," you said softly.

Thorin smiled. "Let's get you inside, my queen."

Those words made your whole inner being scream in utter joy. Was this all really happening?

The house was quiet, and the two of you crept through into the back room where you had prepared a bed roll. Thorin still had his hand in yours, not able to yet let you go. He wanted to always be connected to you, skin against skin.

Before sleep took you that evening, Thorin spooned against you, holding you. He kissed along the base of your neck, and then pressed his long nose against your shoulder, smelling you. He told you, as you slipped to the edge of a dream, "sleep well, my love. For tomorrow may not see such peace."

Since u know you love Thorin, do you have any tips for writing for him? I wanna make sure that I portray him accurately.

You’ve come to the right place, my darling. *pushes up sleeves* Writing Thorin, personally, I find it to be an absolute pleasure. Thankfully, the film interpretation and Richard Armitage’s portrayal give us a lot more to work with in fanfics.

Thorin is very much a hardened shell but underneath there is a lot of vulnerability and sensitivity. As Richard once said in an interview, “The way to Thorin’s heart is through his eyes.” So, I would definitely try and draw a lot on Thorin’s eyes if you can, describing the emotion swimming in them and their change of colour, dependent on his mood. Maybe one moment they appear more steel grey, and the next they appear more metallic blue.

Thorin rarely sits down if you’d noticed, so again, this is something to bear in mind with his physicality. He’s used to being active, alert and on the go. He’s always listening, watching, on guard. When Fili and Kili are teasing Bilbo about orcs, merely the mention of the word wakes Thorin. He is probably a light sleeper, due to years of being on the move and being in battle.

He can be very stern in his words, at times maybe a little pompous and arrogant. This can be highlighted more if you want to draw more from the book, as we all know that Thorin Oakenshield is a ‘very important Dwarf’. He’s honest and doesn’t mince his words either. Whenever he talks about his heritage and people, he’s immensely proud. No one talks bad of the Dwarves in his presence, which can also highlight his intolerance of other cultures at times. Thorin is tough nut to crack, but once he trusts someone then he can see past differences and will see you a lifelong friend and ally.

He is full of loyalty to his people and those he holds dear. In fact, having Thorin on your side would be a big asset.

There are a lot of burdens that Thorin carries on his shoulders, and this comes out sometimes as frustration and irritation. Toughened by years of hardship means that he is not always the easiest person to see eye to eye with, and like all Dwarves, he’s stubborn. Thorin doesn’t take advantage of the fact he’s a would-be king, but he certainly recognises the fact that he’s a leader and takes that responsibility very seriously.

When Thorin loves, he loves HARD and DEEP. He would do anything for those he loves, and is completely selfless.

Here is my main interpretation of writing Thorin, hun. I hope that it helps you. If you do have any other questions (and that goes for everyone else!), please drop me an ask or a message! Good luck in your writing! <3
