Tim Drake Of Tomorrow - Tumblr Posts
Young Justice, beaking into the batcave: Gun Batman is back!
Tim: fuck! Who’s he after this time?
Jason (who is totally just there to use the bat computer. Totally not to hang out with family. Yup.): who the fuck is Gun Batman?
Kon: future Batman that kills people, we’ve dealt with him before. You want to help?
Jason: fuck yes! An excuse to beat up B? I’m always down!
Tim: oh, no. Gun Batman is me not Bruce.
Jason, looking at Tim in disbelief: WHAT?!

"What did it, Conner? What changed you?" "What changed me? You did."

I think, if presented with the opportunity to learn how to use a gun, Tim Drake would say no, not because he doesn’t want to, but because he thinks as long as he doesn’t know how to shoot he will never become The Batman of Tomorrow (Gun Batman)
I think the funny thing is that tim isn’t even that likely to become a supervillain, they just keep finding futures where everyone is fucking dead??? and then tim, being tim, manages to keep his shit together just enough to cause so so many problems about it.
it will forever be hilarious to me that tim is Gun Batman and not jason
bc like all plot and trauma aside imagine how fucking pissed off jason would be
random time traveling villain: ah yes, the batman who kills, it’s good to finally meet you
jason: oh? i didn’t realize i’d be famous in the future, so you want an autograph—
tim: for the love of god, you become a gun wielding murderer once and suddenly no one lets you forget it.
tim: can’t i get a new thing now, like the tech robin, or the skateboard robin? hell i’d even take the spleenless wonder
jason, slightly offended and very confused: excuse me?
kon: …we don’t like talking about it

I want to compare some panels for Bruce & Tim, re: evil versions of yourselves that destroy everything you care about.
Bruce, about the machine he created that hurt his friends and family to get to him:

Batman (2016) #129
Tim, about the evil version of himself from the future where he became a fascist dictator:

Teen Titans (2003) #52 - ID in alt text
The situations are different but to me they contain a similar element, which is: “I would rather die than be the cause of all this destruction.”
I don’t have many further thoughts on this, and it’s something that extends beyond these two within the Batfamily, but I was thinking about this specific connection earlier and…yep, Bruce and Tim are messed up for sure.

so, you’re from the future?
I am you from tomorrow
also why does nobody talk about tim canonically beating up the joker with the crowbar he hurt jason with.
Tim's. Tim's last birthday with his parents. Jack. And Dana. His sixteenth birthday.
His best friend Ives was there, his 'sweetie' girlfriend Stephanie. Favourite pizza. Horrible movies. His dad, his stepmom Dana. By all accounts, it should've been one of his greatest days that he could look back to. Except.
Except. Bruce.
God, a part of Tim was probably laughing hysterically the first time he stood against his future evil self. Because:
Because guess what Bruce. Time travel is real and it wasn't Tim who'd plant the seed of the future evil Bat. It was Bruce and Alfred.
And Tim is left to deal with the result of their hubris.
Tim.
