TIL that the oldest living land animal to date is a gay tortoise and I don’t know how to feel about it.

Might I clarify that the elder tortoise (Jonathan) is 191 and his mate (Frederik) is 32.

I know we’re not supposed to apply human standards to animals but hngh-

However, I do find it funny as fuck that Frederik was only identified as a male in 2017, he was originally named Frederica.
