I can see Wind, Wild, Hyrule, and occasionally Legend going full theatre kid in their explanations and acting out scenes from their adventures. The one who did the adventure would be the narrator and would assign the others their parts and lines. Legend and Wild would be so pleased to have an excuse to wear their many, many outfits!

Before some of the boys figure out Wolfie is Twilight they try to sit him down and explain things that happened before he was born. Twilight indulges them in that form becuase it makes them happy to think a wolf is actually listening to them explain history.

Example:

Wind: So you’d think the gods would come down and kill this guy for being so evil right? Literally tried to take over the entire country just to plunge it into darkness right?

Wolfie (Twilight): [slow blinks]

I’m sorry but why does Lu!Ravioli give off the strongest Solangelo vibes I’ve ever seen?

Their godly parents might not match up but their personalities sure as hell do. Legend and Nico are both very sweet and protective of those they love but hide it under a veil of sarcasm and abrasiveness to protect themselves from getting hurt again. They both have way too much quest experience and have done more shit than half the people around them combined. Both have lost many people close to them and feel immense guilt about it. I wanna give both of them hugs and forehead kisses and make sure they never worry about a single thing for the rest of their lives.

Ravio and Will line up a little less perfectly but are still shockingly similar. Or at least they are according to my headcanons. Both annoy their partners to death and back but also care very deeply and try not to trigger them. They both are trying to make sure their respective self-sacrificial idiot doesn’t get killed throwing himself into the line of fire. I’ve even seen multiple fics and headcanons about Ravio working in the medics tent during the War of Eras because he’s too cowardly to march into battle. They are also both the more personable partner.

And finally, both relationships fit the sunshine x emo stereotype.

Agreed! There are plenty of ships that I find to be kinda toxic, but if people want to ship them I literally don’t give a fuck as long as it’s not child x adult or incest. If you don’t like a ship, don’t engage, we say it all the time but that’s because it really is that simple!

Genuinely can't get over how recently in fandoms any characters that have conflict w eachother, big or small, you absolutely cannot ship them because it's x, y, z. Along with the ppl that make up senarios that didn't happen to "prove" or explain why its bad, you can say you hate a ship w/o treating ur hcs like its the truth.

I feel like thisll become worse because of how unbelievably bad media literacy and reading comprehension is. No the ship isn't toxic ur just fucking stupid. how can you say you like/love a peice of media yet misunderstand or ignore whats typically hand fed to you by the creator.

Have you ever tried to talk about an interest of yours with a person and then watched them make a face when you said the name so you panic and immediately backpedal like “That was years ago, I was a dumb kid, I know how stupid it is now, obviously” because you desperately crave the validation of other people you met 5 minutes ago? Or is that a me thing?

So I’ve been a fan of this show for years, way before the Broadway version came out, so my first experience with all of these songs was animatics of the original cast recordings.

I know a lot of people prefer the live versions because of the extra emotions, this song especially, but the original recording gives me a vibe I haven’t seen matched by a live performance so far. Samantha Pauly’s version of All You Wanna Do gives me the impression that she hasn’t yet realized how fucked up her life was until the final chorus. The emotions on display are raw and unprocessed, which is understandably quite appealing. It helps you better relate to the character and makes you feel like you are living through this moment with her. But the Cast Recording, the one sung by Aimie Atkinson, gives me the impression of someone who has known for a while.

Samantha’s Howard is scared, she is lashing out in anger, yes, but also fear. Aimie’s Howard shows a subtler kind of anger. She is angry at herself for not realizing sooner, she is angry at her abusers for every time they used her for their own benefit, she is angry at the world for the fact that no one stepped in or said anything, but most of all she is angry that there’s nothing she can do to change it. It was over for her from the very first time she was used and she knows it. It is the anger of defeat, of acceptance. She died powerless and alone, villainized in her death as a temptress just like they did with Anne. And yet even in death, all she is known for is how she was used by the men in her life. Sam’s Howard is the new kid on the block, she is still lashing out because she has not realized the consequences of doing so. She’s almost like a rabid animal, running entirely off of instinct. Aimie’s Howard, on the other hand, has been here long enough for the instinct to have mostly faded away, but not entirely. Those little bits of anger still slip out, the little refusals.

I suppose a better way to phrase it is I see Sam’s Howard running away from the hands still trying to grab her, similar to how many have visualized the end of Anne’s song with her running from the guards. But just like with Anne, this is a fruitless endeavor. Aimie’s Howard knows she has no place to go, but that doesn’t stop the pain and anger she feels. It’s like she’s looking at a tsunami coming down on her, knowing it’s too late to run. Knowing all she can do is stand there and let it happen. But knowing doesn’t stop the fear. All you can do is mask it and accept your fate.

Sorry, that was a mess, I’m still having so much trouble wording my feelings about this song because there are so many in my body right now I need them out

The thing that really captivates me about this performance is the lighting and how it mixes with the choreo of the other queens. They are draped in shadow almost the entire time and their faces are specifically obscured whenever they put their hands on Howard. It gives me two distinct impressions, 1. that the men in her life were never genuine with her and always hid their true intentions to get closer to her, and 2. that this was how those men saw Howard, a faceless nobody, pretty enough to be used for their pleasure and then discarded, because she meant nothing to them. She wasn’t a person in their eyes, she was barely more than a shadow.

Also like the specific placement of their hands. At first it’s hands on the shoulders like a controlling parent keeping you in line, then there’s another on the waist from behind, unable to see who’s grabbing you but keeping you pressed against them, facing outwards like a prize to show off but unable to leave, and then they add the ones on the legs, keeping her from running away. All of them focus on hindering movement. They also remind me of puppet strings, which I find interesting as the only part of her without a “string” is her head. The rest of her body is being used against her will but her mind still remains, despite the slowly forming cracks.

This ties in to the order of the placement too. They take her hands first as a metaphor of them leading her down this awful path via their grooming and also to do some of the less than holy acts she describes in her second verse. Then they take her torso, her body, to use for their enjoyment. Lastly they take her legs now that she’s doubting if this is something she’s okay with, if she wants this, so she can’t run away from it. But again, notice that they never take her head, something she herself remarks on in her last verse. They don’t care if they control her thoughts or emotions as long as she’s doing what they want, those don’t matter. Even if she says no, if she says she’s done with this, they own the rest of her, what she says and thinks has no value to them. They tricked her into agreeing while she was young and by the time she realized it was wrong she was already in too deep.

So I think I pissed off the sky somehow.

I’m a college student and forgot to bring an umbrella for my summer semester. I got rained on twice this week and had to sit in a cold building for 2 and a half hours absolutely soaked both times. Yesterday, I had this conversation with a friend of mine.

So I wake up at 3 a.m. last night and realize, fuck, I’ve got a cold. I feel like shit the whole day but also don’t have a mask so I didn’t want to risk going to the dining hall and get other people sick. So I haven’t eaten all day. I said to myself 30 minutes ago that if God thinks a cold can stop me, he’s entirely correct, I feel awful.

So I got out of the shower and was about to go pick up some frozen meals from the local convenience store when it starts fucking raining again.

So, lesson learned, do not threaten or piss off the sky.

I lost this fic on Ao3 and haven’t been able to find the right combination of tags or key words to narrow things down, I’d appreciate any help I can get

It was a Linked Universe fic centering on Legend in which for some reason all of the other heroes keep ignoring him. At one point, around the second or third chapter he leaves the group entirely and they don’t even notice until like 3 weeks later.

If this fic interests you but you don’t recognize it stop reading now because *SPOILERS*

Legend starts doing the quest on his own and though he eventually meets up with the other heroes again where they promise to do better within a few weeks he realizes he’s getting ignored again. They find out that Legend has a curse on him because (I think) of a shard of dark magic he’d picked up earlier in the story and which he had been progressively gathering from black blooded monsters. They break the curse and profusely apologize and everything turns out alright. Can someone help me find it please?

For sure, it’s just that Ravio also knows how to push just far enough to make Legend annoyed without actually making him angry. They’re both little shits to each other but they know and respect each other’s boundaries

Legend wants another divorce

When you're married for tax and immigration fraud purposes, till death do us part doesn't have that much of a kick to it.

The links witness the most lovingly dysfunctional marriage in all hyliankind.

The links turn up at Legends place for the first time. He takes them home, ravio is at the door, angry. Cries at link for leaving him alone for two months, says without his ugly mug threatening the customers he couldn't squeeze as a much money out of them, asks for another divorce, then runs off into their bedroom.

The other links are flabbergasted. Wars is dying inside cause no way is the collector (asshole) is married and divorced. Leg rolls his eyes, ignores questions and tells them to just sleep anywhere and don't touch anything.

At dinner, leg makes ravio a sandwich, gets down on one knee and asks ravio to marry him again. Ravio swoons with a yes, but before he can take a bite, he reams ravio about mixing his merchandise up with his adventure stuff, takes a massive bite out of the sandwich, says he wants to be divorced again.

Ravio won't let link sleep on the bed, it's improper, but leg is freaking tired and he can't have the couch because there are guests over, so leg just tiredly asks if they can be married again, ravio requests dowery of one week of bed cuddles, three days, four days and I'm big spoon. Deal.

At breakfast ravio has a single bite of waffles from wild, requests another divorce, says he wants to marry wild instead. Legend gets up on the table, sword out, and asks wild what he's playing at. Wild is so utterly confused and time diffuses the situation. Legend tells ravio he'll come crawling back and ravio sicks his tongue out at him

Legend does in fact win him back when Ravio needs him to do something in the shop, and leg wants to get paid a wage (and rent), Ravio would rather them be married so he's just contributing to the house.

They go to the castle eventually, mius leg he couldn't be bothered, where Fable tells em yeah they're legally married. Leg didn't tell her outright but she suspects it's because married couples with kids have lower taxes. The other links are shook and confused, so is fable, saying he adopted his three younger siblings. These are just link split up into the triforce heros but the chain doesn't know this.
