I’m working on a few pieces right now.
This piece is a musing on how I need to stop pandering to my oppressors. It’s a habit of thinking yourself as “safe” if you try to be more “agreeable”. More quiet. Roll over to show all your soft parts.
There’s nothing I can do that will stop some people for hating me or pitying me or feeling they have some input on my life. So, fuck them.

This original painting didn’t work. It was too focussed on how to appeal to a particular audience who didn’t care at all about me or my style of art. I call them Soy Candle Mums and they call themselves art enthusiasts but don’t really want to do the legwork that requires you to diversify your perspective of art.
They like things to be pretty, to be cute. To look good in their multi million dollar homes. They brag about small creators and small businesses but don’t really care about them once they dare do something that breaks the mould.
I’m getting into a darker style of art. Maybe it’s the nostalgia for harsher times in my life. Maybe it’s the upcoming anxiety around my top surgery. I don’t know. All I know is that it’s therapeutic as hell.
I’m grateful to be able to do art for me again.

sooo this post is getting a lot of reblogs from terf accounts, so i just want to make it very clear that my blog is not a safe space for transphobia, and trans women are women. if your feminism doesn't account for transgender individuals, your feminism is incomplete.
dont ever give credit to people for "giving" women rights. dont thank them for returning what shouldn't have been taken in the first place.
Every once in awhile I'll remember Running With Scissors responding to a transphobic gimmick account on Twitter and my day will instantly get ten times better

Right, considering the current state of corporate politics on this site, and that it seems that only those affected seem to be actively speaking on the matter, this needs to be dragged out to a wider audience.

Edit: Changed the wording of the post and decided to put in a reminder that this extends to refusing to believe in bogus call-out posts for frankly minuscule thinks such as being horny or kinky, especially if the target is presenting in an ‘unconventional’ manner, (therians, etc.) this double standard where it is seen as ‘degenerate’ for transfemmes to merely exist in certain spaces, yet everyone else is fine to do so is disgusting and part of the reason for the backlash.

It’s okay to not be ready
I’m constantly having to remind myself of this, especially as I grow older and whenever I see LGBTQIA2+ related stuff in the media.
Even though I’ve already posted about my gender online in the past and used to be very open about it, I’ve become more sheltered about who I am because of my insecurities. I’m living in a very liberal city and all of my irl friends are openly queer, but yet I still struggle on a day-to-day basis to tell people the truth about my gender identity and hope to Satan that people don’t somehow find out about it. It’s hard, and I’m both really jealous and proud of everyone out there who is able to be so open about themselves to the world.
But anyways, I wanted to write this post to remind people who haven’t came out yet at all or who’re dealing with similar issues as me that it’s okay.
It’s okay to not be ready to tell people. It’s okay to need time. It’ll take time to gather the strength, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
No matter the circumstances, you are valid.
Sorry for the rambles after being afk for so long. It will happen again.

Following the Cass Review, trans kids are no longer able to receive puberty blocker prescriptions from Sandyford, Scotland's only gender identity clinic for under 18s. This is devastating news for trans kids who will now see their bodies change in ways that will trigger dysphoria. It will ultimately cost lives as trans kids are driven to suicide. All this will happen because of some despicable, manufactured "trans debate", where trans kids, and adults, are being used as a scapegoat for society's problems. Trans charities and advocate groups are condemning the awful Cass Review all over the country. The only groups celebrating this dreadful document are anti-trans ones. Hormone blockers have been used for decades safely, and the vast majority of trans kids that go on to transition are happy. A common argument against blockers is that trans kids are not old enough to make such decisions. This is exactly what puberty blockers are for; to hit the pause button on any irreversible changes; to give trans kids time to make these decisions. We urge Sandyford clinic to immediately resume providing trans kids with their life-saving puberty blockers.
