UK folks! There's a consultation on changes to the NHS constitution that includes a bunch of anti-trans stuff, if you're from the UK please fill it out and let them know which changes you disagree with and why!

The consultation ends Tuesday night (11:59pm 25th June 2024) so there's not a lot of time on this.
There are a lot of changes in the consultation, and they aren't all necessarily bad things. But the sections on sex and gender reassignment and technical changes to reflect the equality act are where the GCs have clearly been doing their work.
I don't want to give you scripts to respond with as that can be a good way to get responses thrown out, and note it seems likely that they'll disregard overly long responses so being succinct is important.
There are many reasons why these proposed changes are bad, so I'd say try not to raise more than one per answer (as that would likely take you over 250 words).
Even if you don't feel able to be eloquent about why you disagree with the changes, just having it recorded that you disagree is still important.
And for anyone feeling panicked about this, bare in mind any changes have to be passed in parliament so this isn't the final step in this process. Given there's an election soon it's possible this just gets abandoned or restarted. But as we can influence this we should, just don't let yourself be overwhelmed by it.

I feel sick. I'm so scared. Things are going to get so much worse for trans adults in the UK when the Levy review for adult trans care comes out in November. My GP clinic already tried to not prescribe my T when the gender clinic endocrinologist first recommended it, I had to fight them so hard on it, and I'm terrified at any point they will stop.
Please share this. It is so disheartening that when I make posts about US trans issues they have thousands of notes within a couple hours, but UK trans issues barely get 100 notes. Our struggles are linked. The letter, in fact, uses the American spelling of certain words like 'realize' - Which has made some suspicious that this is a form letter provided by the American anti trans hate groups that have been pushing for more transphobic discrimination in the UK lately.
This WILL affect trans people in the US eventually. They will use the UK as an example to follow, when they are (at least partially) the ones who created the conditions for our growing medical discrimination. Our fight is your fight. Please, please care about it. Help people be aware of this at the very least.
